It feels like it's been awhile since I've done anything to NU but I'm still working on it. Don't worry! Just been a bit busy. Anyways, new definition tags feature is live. Go check it out. Move your mouse over the tag/genre link and it'll show you the definition. Or go to pages like this: http://www.novelupdates.com/stag/ability-steal/ and you'll be able to edit the definition. For a list of tags needing a definition, you may refer to this link: http://www.novelupdates.com/list-tags/ (X = missing definition & check mark = definition has been entered.) All edits are logged so please do not troll the definition. Thanks
It's quite often actually. I just never expect that it'll be tag definition, with hover function too. It's just really, really unexpected.
Tho why does the link name is /stag/ ? So thats the reason why I cant manually type the link. PS. Tony's one more step in conquering the world
I think its a very useful update because it not only shortens your searching, reading and summarizing what the tag was (e.g. wuxia, xianxia, seinen, shounen, shojo, yuri, yaoi etc.) or getting the wrong meaning because its an NU jargon. It also helps the newcomers to quickly get integrated to our little dark side here in the internet.
Now we can make definitions that are so accurate and precise that no one can understand. Next thing you know, the definition of kiss will be "the anatomical juxtaposition of two orbicular muscles in a state of contraction". By the way, do you think that by removing ambiguity and interpretation for tags, some tags might be split up into new ones?
True that. Now let's all pretend that golden shower = getting salary. The other meaning simply doesn't exist
Spoiler @Toni Can this be stickied on the Main Page for a few days? Basically why we were pushing so hard (I swear, it's tearjerk-worthy od an effort) for 900 tags from around 1k. The tag definition was our incentive. (இ﹏இ`。) Our effort has not been in vain. I'm not kidding when I said Admins can see the changes done on Tag Definitions. Troll ones, vague ones, typos, who and when. Please refrain yourself if you can't spare the effort or if you can't stay neutral of the tag. TAG Definitions should be referring to how the tag is define in the context of this community. It is NOT word definition. Some examples of the accepted or under monitoring definitions: Do NOT proceed: 1. If you are going to paste definitions that anyone can just search via Google. 2. If you just define the words in the tags. 3. If you cannot stay neutral with the tag. Proceed With Caution. I. See. You. (・_├┬┴┬┴
