    This should come after my last IC interaction on the tavern.))

    Hmmmm... How did Hikari get here?

    Rather, where is here? It's all dark... This is a weird place... I wonder if there is anything here?

    ... No? Nothing? That's kinda bland... If Hikari moves around?

    ... Still nothing? So boring... Should Hikari go down then...? Hmmm... Yes? Why not? Hikari might find some ground by going down...

    Okay, let's go!

    ... Nothing yet? Won't the ground ever appear if I-

    "What are you doing!?!?!?!??!"

    "Oh! Hikari found someone!
    ... A light though? Hikari thinks it's weird to see a light out of nowhere... Who are you?"
    *tilts head*

    "Hikari!? You... Hikari is already here?"

    "Here...? Hikari...? I don't think so? Hikari doesn't know any Hikari in here... Wait... That's weird isn't it? Hikari thinks she knows Hikari... Who is Hikari? Do you know where she is? Hikari wants to meet Hikari."

    "So... She is close by already... So troublesome... I didn't expect to meet you again already... You need to be more careful, you know?"

    "Hmmm... You know me? But Hikari doesn't remember you... Or maybe I do? Hikari isn't sure... Hikari knows you, doesn't she?"

    "Yeah... Hmmm... How about I show you where Hikari is? Do you wanna meet her?"

    "Meeting... Meeting... Okay! Hikari will meet Hikari!"

    "Okay then! follow me!"

    "Eto... We're going up...? Hikari felt like going down though... You sure Hikari will find Hikari if I go up?"

    "De-definitely! There is nothing worth noting down there! Hikari is up! So please come upwards with me!"

    "Downwards seems so more attractive though... I don't know if meeting Hikari is worth it if Hikari needs to go up..."

    "No-no! Don't give in to that! Please follow me! Please meet Hikari!"

    "Dunno... It doesn't seem that nice... Hikari thinks she'll go down..."

    "Tha-that is... Please... I beg you... Just one more time... Follow me up there..."

    "... Nah, I'm good."

    Down we go~

    "Will you... Will you really leave Biel like that...? She would want to meet you again, you know?"

    "Bi... Biel...?"

    Who... Who is that...? Hikari... Hikari knows it... Who is Hikari? Who is Biel? It's important to Hikari? It is... It is important to me... It is it is it is.

    "Ah ah ah ah..."

    "You still want to meet her, don't you? She is worried... Please go up and meet..."

    "It hurts it hurts it hurts! Hikari's head hurts! Hikari's heart hurts! What are you doing to me!? I don't want this pain! Stop that!"

    "Hikari is coming back... I'm sorry for forcing your hand like that... Come, please, you won't feel better until you leave."

    "Shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up! Stop shouting on my ears! Go away already!"

    "You're... Hearing it already? Just... Just try to ignore it, I know it's painful, but you can't hear what they're saying... If you come with me, the voices will stop shouting."

    "Wha-what? Be louder! I can't hear you!"

    "Over here, come."

    The-the light is leaving? No! Come back! Don't leave Hikari alone with those voices! Come back!

    "Just a bit longer! Hang in tight!"

    "Ta-talk to me! Don't run from me! Don't leave Hikari alone!"

    "I'm here! I'm right here! Keep it up please!"

    "Aaaaaaah! It's scary! It's scary it's scary it's scary! It's too noisy! Please... Let Hikari be in peace..."

    The light... It is... Surrounding Hikari?

    "I'm here... I'm not going anywhere... Come on, we're almost there. Don't give up."

    It's soothing... It feels like it's talking to Hikari... Ah! It is flying away again... Come back! *stretches hand towards the light*

    "Don't give up! Keep moving!"

    The light stopped... It is... Moving up and down? Should... Should Hikari follow? Right... Hikari is following... Keep going... I need to keep going...

    Ah, it is bright... Is that where Hikari should go...? It's more appealing than down there...

    "It seems like there isn't much time left... Please enjoy it... I'm afraid we'll see each other soon."

    What is... The light is speaking, isn't it...?

    Ah... It's bright...

    *cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough*

    "She's breathing! She is alive! Alive!"

    "Thank the gods, I really thought she was a goner this time!"

    "You did well Marys! Thanks for all the hard work!"

    "Phew! I'm exhausted."

    "Where... Where is-"
    *coughs* *coughs blood* *coughs* "Hikari...?"

    "There there, stay down! You really caused us a huge worry girl!

    Haa... What is the last thing you remember anyway? I'll tell you what happened afterwards."

    "Remember...? Hikari was-"
    *cough cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough* "on the-" *coughs blood* *cough cough* *coughs blood* "tavern... And-" *cough cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* *coughs blood* *coughs*

    "Whoa whoa whoa whoa there! Stop talking! Just nod or shake your head to what I say, alright?"

    Hikari nodded at Marys-san's statement...

    "Yesterday was your birthday, do you remember that much?"

    Birthday... Ah, right! *nod nod*

    "Well, we were giving you a surprise party... So far it's good?"

    *nods*

    "And then, your sister glomped you and you started coughing violently... You remember that much?"

    Sister...? Ah! Onee-chan did! *nods*

    "Okay, I think you remember everything on the point that you were still talking things with things... Well, after that, you kinda started saying things without much connection and then suddenly, you were falling from your wheelchair, your eyes were closed, and you had stopped breathing altogether... Do you remember any of that?"

    That is... No... *shakes head*

    "Thought so... Well, from that point onwards, it was kinda hellish on our side, Dancchi brought you flying here like crazy, and she seemed at a complete loss because her Ultima Regen wasn't working... We kinda had to forcefully put air in your lungs and to keep your heart beating for the last 15 hours, you know? We were almost giving up..."

    "So-sorry..."

    "Don't be, it's our job after all! We're glad you're back Hikari."

    "Um... Uhm..."
    *nod nod* "Where... One-" *cough cough cough* *coughs blood* *coughs* "Onee... Chan?"

    "Oh, right, we sent her back... She kept on trying to help, but she was so worried that she ended up getting in the way... It took a while to convince her though, we had to be somewhat hard on the words... But well, you might have not been here right now if she kept on getting in our way, so it couldn't be helped."

    "O... Onee-chan... Got... Like-"
    *cough cough* *coughs blood* "that...? For... Hikari...?"

    "Of course she would! For who else would she get like that!?"

    "Hi.. Hikari... Sees..."

    "Dear gods, you're hopeless... Sleep in here for today, alright? Just to make sure nothing else will happen to you, if you're still okay, we'll let you go back to the inn tomorrow."

    "U... Understood... Uhn... Thanks... Marys-san..."

    "Don't mention it..."
    *ruffles Hikari's hair* "We want the best for you, okay? Don't forget that. We're happy you're still here with us."

    "Uhm..."

    Marys-san left and one of the healers brought a bit of soup for Hikari... Hikari felt quite tired, and it was really painful to drink even the soup... Hikari was happy it was a light food at least...

    Once Hikari finished, Hikari lied down on the bed... Hikari was... Tired...

    A face... A light...? Hikari remembers this face... Who is... Who are... Why is a light within it...? No, don't fade! Come back! Stay with-

    "Hikari! Hikari!"

    "Ma... Marys-san?"

    "Thank the gods! I thought something had happened again... You suddenly started convulsing and making strange noises... Don't worry me like that!"

    "So... Sorry... It... It was just-"
    *cough cough cough cough cough cough* "a nightmare..."

    "A nightmare...? Well, I guess it's not strange to have them when you're like that... Don't worry too much, you're safe in here, okay? Try to sleep well."
    *kisses Hikari's forehead*

    "Thank... You..."

    "Don't worry about it."

    Marys-san left again... Hikari should go back to sleep... It's late... And Hikari still feels tired... Very... Tired...

    "Hikari, you there?"

    "Uhn... Eh?"

    "It's morning already, you should wake up!"

    "Go... Got it!"

    "I'll bring you breakfast alright? Your wheelchair should be next to your bed, so if you feel good enough, you can go out once you eat."

    "Uhm!"

    It didn't take long before Marys-san brought it in... After eating, Hikari decided to get on the chair... Ugh, it's hard moving through the bed... It hurts... Eh? When did Hikari get on... Wah!? Why is a letter coming out of a dark hole in front of Hikari?

    Go to the inn, we need to talk.

    -Yukari.

    Yukari-sama? Uhn... Hikari doesn't quite understand, but... Hikari will go.

    Hikari moved the wheelchair, that she was apparently teleported on, towards the exit of the medic's area, and then towards the inn. On the way there, Hikari waved goodbye to Marys-san and thanked her for all the help... Hikari really owned Marys-san this time...

    Getting on the inn, the innkeeper came and carefully hugged Hikari, she said she was really worried for Hikari... Hikari feels bad for... For giving them this much worry... Specially when... When Hikari knows she'll be gone soon... It hurts... A different kind of pain than the one that Hikari feels on her entire body... But a pain that hurts much more...

    After talking a bit, the innkeeper let Hikari go, she said Hikari should rest and get better... Hikari could... Could only give a meek smile and nod... It was really hurting a lot...

    Getting to Hikari's inn room, Hikari opened the door and... Eh? Nobody in? But Yukari-sama said...

    "Hikariiiiiiiii!!!!"

    "Ra-Ran-sama!?"

    Ran-sama hugged Hikari and started rubbing our cheeks... She seemed to want to hug Hikari very tightly, but was holding back on it.

    "I'm so glad you're alive! You stupid girl! Don't go fainting like that!!! Do you have any idea how worried we were!?"

    "So-sorry for-"
    *cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* "worrying..."

    "Do-don't talk too much! Just try to stay safe, okay...? Don't... Don't hurt yourself any further..."

    "Ran-sama..."

    Hikari felt a ruffle on her hair.

    "Happy birthday, it's a day late, but I hope you can enjoy it."

    "Yu... Yukari-sama?"

    "There there, come along everyone."

    "Took ya long enough!"

    "Enjoy the day Hikari!"
    "Ore-sama thought ya were never gonna say it!"
    "Happy Birthday!!"

    Gaps appeared on the air and... Yuuka-sama, Sakuya-sama, Remilia-sama, Patchy-chan and Alice-chan all came...? But...

    "How...?"

    "Tsc, be grateful to the old hag, she convinced the great me to come."
    "How the hell did ya expect me to not come when ya're dying girl! Tell me something next time! I didn't even know that it was a special date ya idiot!"

    Remilia-sama... Yuuka-sama...

    *giggles* "Yukari-sama went over to each of them to ask them to come, you know? She really wanted to make this special for you."

    "Ra-Ran! Shut up already!"

    "You had to see her blushing face when she came to the mansion trying to ask us to come, it was so cute~"
    "It felt so nice to see the old hag behaving like that, that I almost refused just to tease her, but there was no way I wouldn't come for you!"

    Patchy-chan and Alice-chan came over and hugged Hikari... It felt warm...

    "Tha... Thank you...."
    *sobs* "For... For being wi-" *cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* "with Hikari..."

    "Idiot. If ya have the time to cry, then start celebrating already! It's a day late, but it's yer day, isn't it?"

    "Ah! Un... Hai! Hikari will-"
    *cough cough* *coughs blood* "celebrate!"

    "Good, then! Party up old hag!"

    "As if I need you to tell me!"

    From that point on... It was weird, it was fun, everyone was celebrating and playing with Hikari... At some point we started going through gaps to different places as well, so the party kept on moving, it was quite exhausting, but quite fun as well... Hikari was... Happy, Hikari was really really happy... Somehow... It felt as if all the pain on Hikari's body had faded away...

    Of course, that was not the case... It was a relief... A momentary relief. A way of distracting Hikari before... Before it was over...

    At some point Hikari started crying, it hurt... Hikari is so happy... So so happy... But... Hikari doesn't... Doesn't think she will... Ever again...

    It was warm... Hikari was being embraced... Hikari wanted to forever remain on that embrace...

    "It's okay... We understand... Even if you can't avoid the future, you can at least turn your eyes away for a bit, can't you?"

    "Pa..."
    *sobs* "Patchy-chan..."

    "Yuuka, it's a good moment to give the gift, isn't it?"

    "Hum? Yeah, I guess."
    Yuuka-sama approached Hikari, and took something out of her dress' internal pocket... It was... A flower crown?

    "What is...?"

    "What is it for? It's a symbol. Flower crowns are worn to honor the gods, so... To receive a flower crown from the gods, means that they feel honored to be with ya. It might not mean much now, but take it with ya, and ya'll earn a safe passage at the very least. Nobody will trouble ya on the other side."

    "Yuuka-sama..."

    "It was made from all of our powers, we can attest to it."

    "Ran-sama..."

    "Ore-sama will beat down anyone that tries to bully ya down there! Rest assured kid!"

    "Re... Remilia-sama..."

    "It's what we could think of for you... I'm... Sorry. For not being able to do more..."

    "Yu... Yukari... Sama..."
    *sobs* "Than..." *sobs* "Thank you..." *sobs* "All of-" *cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* "you..." *sobs* "Thank..." *sobs* "Thank you..."

    "Silly... There is no need to thank us for that... It's not everyone that can bring 5 deities together, you know? You deserved a lot more than that. Because we certainly wished to give you more..."

    "Yu... Yukari... Sama?"

    "You should listen to her, we're all here for you, you know? We came here because we cared for you, one way or another."

    "Sakuya... Sama?"

    *pat pat* "There there... Life lasts really little for some... I'm sad that yours is one of those... But... There is still a little left, try to live it to the fullest, okay?"

    "U... Understood!"
    *wipes out tears* "Hikari will-" *cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough cough* "definitely... Enjoy it..."

    "Good girl... Oh, there is one more thing though."

    "Eh?"

    Sakuya-sama sidestepped and behind her were Patchy-chan and Alice-chan...

    "It isn't much, but..."

    "We made this for you."
    "We're not sure how good it is, because..."
    "We had only a photo to go by..."
    "Still..."
    "Happy Birthday Hikari!"

    Alice-chan and Patchy-chan showed 2 dolls to Hikari... It was...

    "Mama... Onee-chan..."

    "We didn't have time to make the whole family, since we only discovered how they look like a few days ago... And well, we could've asked Sakuya for some extra time, but..."
    "We wanted to make it ourselves... We hope you liked it Hikari."

    They gave the dolls to Hikari... Hikari... Hikari hugged the dolls tightly.

    "Thank... Thank you... Thank you so-"
    *coughs* *coughs blood* *coughs* "so... Much... Hikari is... Hikari is so-" *cough cough cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* "so... Very... Happy..."

    Hikari felt hugs... Hikari felt lots of warmth...

    "Please make sure to appreciate whatever time you have left, alright? Promise me."

    "Hi... Hikari promises..."

    "Alright... Don't forget it, okay?

    It's about time, isn't it?"

    "Yeah... The sun is already setting... Let's go back."

    A gap opened, and we were now back in the inn...

    "This is... Probably the last time, so... Goodbye Hikari. I really enjoyed watching you for these last years."

    Yukari-sama kissed Hikari's forehead.

    "It's been a short while kid, we didn't get to know each other that well, but I had fun... Who knows, maybe we'll meet again after you cross over. Take care of yerself!"

    Remilia-sama gave Hikari a light pat on the back.

    "There isn't much for me to say... Just... Keep in mind that I liked your company, as short as it was, you brought more joy than you might imagine to that mansion. Even after you left."

    Sakuya-sama gave Hikari a gentle hug and separated a bit after.

    "Girl, I'll tell yea, it's been ages since anyone ever made me care, ya know? Ya'll be missed. More than ya might imagine."

    Yuuka-sama gave a light punch on Hikari's shoulder.

    "You know... I never really got over Marisa's death... Somehow, I always blamed you for it as well... I didn't hate you, but I was never truly happy near you... But then... Seeing you like this... It made me realize how stupid I had been.

    Haa... I wish I had noticed this sooner... Maybe I could've been a real family to you... I... Goodbye."

    Alice-chan turned around and ran a bit... Hikari saw a tear falling from her head into the ground...

    "I guess... That's it? It definitely isn't the kind of reunion I had wanted, but... It's better than-"
    *sobs* "better than not... Even saying... Goodbye... Right?" Patchy-chan hugged Hikari. "At least you'll be able to meet Marisa as well now... I wonder how will she react to it... I hope she reacts well... Haa... I love you, okay? Even if you aren't the "you" I know, I'll always love you, no matter what "you" you are. Stay... Stay safe."

    Patchy-chan gave a long kiss on Hikari's cheeks and then went to Alice-chan's side...

    "You know... There is a lot I want to say, I lot that I want you to know, but... Let's just say... I took a liking to you since the very beginning Hikari. It's never easy to say goodbye, but... Who knows? Maybe something nice will happen. Hope is the last one to die isn't it?"
    *laughs* "Well... It was fun. By being with you this time, I could do something that I should've done ages ago, and that I always regretted not doing... I was happy.

    Departing is always sad... For both sides... Well..."
    *ruffles Hikari's hair* "I guess the end goal isn't always the best part, the trip can also be pretty fun, can't it? Make sure to enjoy your own trip too."

    "Hikari... Hikari will-"
    *cough* *coughs blood* *cough cough* "miss everyone... Too... Let's... Let's enjoy... The future..." *sobs* "Right...?" *smiles while crying*

    "Of course... Well, it's goodbye for real now... Bye..."

    Yukari-sama opened some gaps and everyone was gone, the room seemed empty, and normal again... As if everything just now had all been a dream... A dream... If this was really all a dream... Now would be a good time to... Wake up...

    "Not yet. It's still not time. Hang on a little longer!"

    Eh? Why is Hikari on the chair... Did... Did Hikari fall asleep...?

    Hikari looked at her lap, and saw the 2 dolls on it.

    It wasn't a dream... Hikari was sure of that at least... Hikari decided to ready herself up, and then go to the guild... Hikari should still have a bit of time left after all.

    ((Hmmm... I was planning on not using any color for Marys, since she isn't a character I was planning on using much, but she is appearing quite a bit on Hikari's stories, and things can get quite confusing when there is more than one medical staff around, so I decided to put a color for her...

    She wasn't supposed to be my NPC though... I feel like I'm really overstepping the bounds here... >.>

    Uhn... What else... This came out quite differently from what I originally envisioned... Making a birthday party for Hikari was something I planned to happen only if nobody noticed it was her birthday when the date was right... Somehow, things ended up leading to that... Honestly, I almost ended the SS right after Hikari left the medical tent, I remembered at the last moment that I had wanted to do something with Yukari in it on this SS, and I didn't even remember what, so... It ended up like that! >.<

    And... Well, I think it got pretty obvious, but Hikari's time is running out, so I'll be closing this arc of her life soonish... I honestly feel like it would be better to properly kill her, but emotional attachment is stronger than this feeling of "what is better for the story", so... She'll live. I have been laying the groundwork for that for a while now anyway~

    Oh and... I hope I didn't scare anyone with the title... Well, more or less, part of the intent with it was to be give a bit of a shock.

    This notes part ended up a quite big... Weeeeeeeird. Oh well, see you all at the tavern! ^^)/))

    ((Edit: It took this long for only 3000 words!?

    I should stop getting distracted... orz))

    ((Happens right after Hikari faints... And uhn... Colors, you know the drill by now, right? Keep up with me for just a bit more! >.<))

    It was a strange sensation.

    Hikari felt awake... But Hikari didn't feel like she was awake. This looked like a dream... It really was strange, Hikari doesn't remember her dreams, and even then... Hikari definitely doesn't remember understanding she was in a dream... Hikari wonders if it really is a dream or not... But if it wasn't, what else could it be?

    There was a voice. It was screaming in Hikari's head, Hikari knew this voice, it was one that Hikari knew since long long ago... But Hikari doesn't know whose it is... Maybe Hikari knew the owner of this voice at some point... Hikari doesn't remember it anymore though.

    It was crying, it was sad... It had... Forgotten.

    "Lily Lily Lily Lily Lily! How could I forget Lily!? Lily! Lily!!"

    It kept on shouting things like this... Hikari didn't know who, or what was Lily though... The name had a nostalgic feeling, but Hikari doesn't remember the owner of it.

    Well... While Hikari doesn't remember it... Hikari has an idea...

    Images kept on Flashing in appearing in front of Hikari... They were varied, in different places and... Confusing, lacking, broken... Hikari didn't quite understand them, but they had one thing in common... A cat. A white cat. In some it was wounded, in others it was healed and happily running around, at others, it was simply sitting on Hikari's lap...

    And that was the strange part... Hikari didn't remember any of that... Yukari-sama and Ran-sama said Hikari had lost her memories for good... But why were those here... They had to be Hikari's memories, hadn't they? Why were they here though? They should no longer be with Hikari...

    Hikari thinks there might have something to do with the fact they're broken in pretty much everywhere... Hikari can't see the images neatly, and there are definitely lots of pieces missing on the images... Nor is there any connection between them... Perhaps those images are what are giving Hikari her nostalgic feeling at times... Something broken enough to not make sense, but that still exists, and that is enough to give a feeling of sorts?

    Hikari wonders... But even if Hikari thinks about it, Hikari can't really reach any conclusion, can she? So... Hikari should try to think a bit on how to get out, shouldn't she? How did Hikari reach here in the first place?

    Hmmm... Hikari was on the tavern... There was pain... Sadness... Much pain... Ease? A... Grass plain? It doesn't fit... Why is Hikari's memory fuzzy now of all times... Did something happen to Hikari?

    It was happening before, back when Hikari ran and met Remilia-sama, but then it stopped... Hikari didn't think much of it because Hikari suddenly got sick due to helping Fenrir-sama out...

    Ugh... It hurts not knowing anything... What can Hikari do... Isn't there anything else Hikari can remember...

    "LilyLilyLilyLilyLilyLilyLily..."

    The shouts on Hikari's head certainly don't help Hikari concentrate... Shouts? Hikari remembers a shout... Ah! Hikari found a cat! Hikari remembers seeing the cat! The cat that should be Lily!! Then... Shout... And... Black? Yeah... It's black... Why is it black? Did Hikari... Did Hikari pass out? Hikari should remember something at least otherwise...

    Hmmm... Let's go with this... Hikari met Lily, heard a shout, and passed out... Then Hikari... Is indeed dreaming right now... Why did Hikari pass out then?

    Well, there was that voice... It's the last thing Hikari remembers... Hikari thinks it's safe to assume the shout Hikari heard is the same Hikari heard back then, but... It doesn't match... There shouldn't be a voice talking on Hikari's head before, Hikari doesn't remember having a voice talking on her head... And even if Hikari had one before, why would it only start shouting now? Is Lily the cause?

    Well, it should be, considering that the voice doesn't stop shouting about Lily over and over again... Then... Hikari heard the shout and fainted... And the voice doesn't stop shouting even then... Maybe the voice is what made Hikari faint? It doesn't explain why there is a voice on Hikari's head, but it at least gives Hikari something to work with... Uhm! Let's go with this theory!

    So, to wake up... The voice should stop shouting? Seems fair enough... How to... Aaaah! Hikari will just talk to the voice! Hikari won't come to anything overthinking it like this! >.<

    *deep breath* Hikari should've just done that from the beginning... Hikari should keep things simple instead of trying to understand everything.

    "Uhn... Excuse Hikari?"

    ... You don't need to keep shouting, you know? You could answer Hikari for a bit...

    "Hikari wants to talk a bit..."

    Shouts... *sighs* Eh? Come to think of it, Hikari isn't coughing this time... Oh, right, Hikari's body is the one hurt, Hikari shouldn't be on her body while dreaming... Right?

    Calling out to the voice doesn't work though... What then? Maybe touching the images...

    ... Hikari can't touch them... They just keep changing non-stop, and don't let Hikari get near... Eh? But if Hikari can't touch them... Then Hikari isn't within the images is she? Hikari thought she was, because the images were all Hikari could see... What is around Hikari then?

    Hikari turned around... It was pit black, there was nothing around Hikari... And below... Black as well? What is this place?

    Hikari looked back at the images... Eh? There is... Something... Above them...

    Moving closer, Hikari saw it better... A light...? The light is touching... No... Clinging to the images... The shouts are getting louder... The light... Is shouting? How though?

    Hikari tried touching the light... Wah!? Wha-wha-what is this!? *pulls hand away*

    Hikari's arm! Hikari's arm is... Hikari can't feel Hikari's arm! Hi-Hi-Hikari can see through her arm... Ah-ah-ah-aaaahh!

    "Hikari? Why are you shouting Hikari!?
    ... Wha-what happened to your arm!?"

    "You... You know Hikari!? Hi-Hikari doesn't know!? Hikari touched you and-"

    "I-idiot!! Just... Just stay calm, okay!? Focus and remember..."

    "Remember what!?"

    "Anything! Everything! Everything you can! Just remember you're yourself, and what makes you, you! Do that, quickly!"

    "Ha-hai!"

    Hikari started thinking... And remembered... Yukari-sama, Remilia-sama, Ran-sama, Sakuya-sama, Patchy-chan, Yuuka-sama, Alice-chan... Mama... Onee-chan...

    There was a warm feeling... It gathered on Hikari's arm... Hikari stiooed focusing and looked at it... It... It was full again, it wasn't see-through anymore...

    *breathes in relief* "You really worried me there with those shouts and your arm... Be more careful... Well, you woke me up with that, so I guess there is some plus in that."

    "Ah, right... Uhn... Hikari was... Shouting...?"

    "You didn't even hear it? Well, that's that... Hmmm... In any case, it seems like you came in whole this time... Good thing we aren't there though, it would've been troublesome if we were... Though you being whole here is already bad news enough by itself..."

    "Wh-wha-what are you talking about!?"

    "Oh, sorry, I was rumbling to myself... Well, suffice to say this isn't the first we met, but you weren't "you" back then, so there is no way you would remember it."

    "Hikari wasn't... Hikari?"
    *tilts head*

    "Right! But... You don't need to worry too much about it, I can't quite explain it well myself, because I don't understand it fully... In essence, only a part of you was there when we met, which was actually a good thing. Now that you're coming as your whole self... It probably means you won't come back from there this time..."

    "... Hikari is lost... Where is there? Who are you, and what are you talking about!?"

    "Uhn... It's not that I can't explain... Well, now that you're here as a whole I can, but... It would... Do way more harm then good? It could cut down on your time left... So... Could you let me slip this time? I'll explain it properly when we meet... There."

    "But... Hikari doesn't remember meeting you... Will Hikari remember this time she met you?"

    "Haha, you catch on fast... Probably not. But... I still want you to believe me... Is this okay with you?"

    "Hikari doesn't understand it... But okay... Hikari will trust you... But... Can't you... At least tell Hikari your name...? Hikari feels bad talking like this..."

    "... Sorry."

    "Haa... It's okay..."

    "You're a good girl... I'm glad, I'm sure everyone near you really appreciates being with you..."

    "How can you tell...?"

    "Hmmm... Call it a gut feeling? I'm pretty sure of it though."

    "You're really mysterious... You know that?"

    "Haha, sorry... I'm just a bit happy... Talking to you like this, it makes me feel like I made at least one good choice..."

    "Did... Did Hikari say something bad...?"

    "No, nothing, I was just... Reminiscing.

    How about we look for a way out instead, it would be a better idea than remaining here, wouldn't it?"

    "Ah! Right... Hikari went after you to ask that... Hikari thought that maybe this thing was related to Lily, and that it's what made Hikari faint..."

    "Li-Lily? No... She was more of a trigger, something that distabilized me, and dragged you along. She is part of the cause, but not of the solution..."

    "Did she... Hurt you?"

    "No, not hurt... More like, I felt bad for simply leaving her like I did, and I only remembered about it now... It leaves a bad aftertaste, you know?

    Well, about the solution... It's honestly easier than you might think, we just need to find the exit."

    "Exit?"

    "Yep, it should feel warm and bright. It shouldn't be too hard to find."

    "Hikari is a bit confused... If you know how it feels, and what it is... Shouldn't you know where it is as well?"

    "Normally? Yes, but it changes places often, I usually see you falling, and then I just follow the path back to it... Right now I kinda fell first and dragged you along though, so I'm quite lost."

    "Still... Hikari thinks you should know be better at finding it than Hikari... Since you already went there before..."

    "Ah, no, I can't find it... I'm more of an tenant than anything, this kind of thing is better left to the host."

    "... Eh?"

    "Follow your feelings, you'll find it."

    "Hikari doesn't feel any confidence from that... But Hikari will try! Hikari will do her best!"

    "I'm cheering for you!"

    A warm and... bright feeling... Uhum... How does that even work though!?

    "Hikari doesn't know if... If Hikari can find a warm and bright feeling..."

    "Hmmm... What feels warm and bright for you?"

    "Warm and bright for... Hikari?"

    "Yes! There ought to be something, shouldn't there?"

    "Hmmmm... Hugs?"

    "Then search for a hug!"

    "How can Hikari find a hug in the middle of nowhere!??!?!?"

    "Just look for it! You'll definitely find it if you search!"

    "Hikari doesn't think that's how it works..." *deep breath* "Alright... Hikari needs to... Find a hug..."

    Hmmm... Warm... Bright... Hug... This doesn't... Eh? Hikari is...

    "Up... It is small, but... There is definitely a hug up there..."

    "Let's go then~ I'll be right behind you!"

    "Uhm!"

    Hikari moved up, come to think of it, Hikari didn't know how she was moving... Somehow it seemed to be really simple though... As easy as walking...

    Hikari went up and up and up... It seemed quite far away, but... The warm feeling was definitely there... And it was getting... Stronger...

    "Ah!"

    "You found it... Good job, I knew Hikari could do it!" *moves closer, but stops halfway*

    "So... Hikari just needs to go through this... Bright thing?"

    "Hai hai! Just go through it and Hikari will be back!"

    "... You aren't... Coming?"

    "I... I can't leave."

    "Hikari... Sees... We'll... Meet again?"

    "Yes... Definitely... At least one more time."

    "Then... Hikari will be waiting! Take care, alright?"

    "Of course... You as well..."

    Hikari nodded and went through the brightness... It was... Really warm... Hikari's hand felt really warm...

    *cough cough cough*

    "Hikari!"

    *voice even hoarser than before, barely audible* "Ma... Mama?"

    "Hikari! You're awake! I was so worried for you!!"

    "Where... Where is... Hikari...?"

    Mama explained to Hikari that Hikari had fainted and that Mama brought Hikari to the head priestess for healing... But even then, Hikari didn't wake up... After the head priestess did what she could, Mama stayed by Hikari's side until Hikari wake up... Holding Hikari's hand... It was warm... Hikari felt that this warm feeling had been important for her... As if it guided Hikari somehow... Uhm! Hikari is sure of it! This warmness was definitely important for Hikari! Somehow Hikari was sure of it!

    After reassuring Mama that Hikari was... As fine as Hikari could be... And thanking the head priestess for all the help, Mama decided to bring Hikari back home... Home? Ah... Right... Hikari remembers... Mama told Hikari to... To go live with Mama... Hikari... Hikari is sure... Hikari will definitely enjoy... Being... Home.

    OOC: Some backstory for Presia but it is prologue about 1k word LOL.
    I have done the next part just not completed and the writing way is different so I'll follow up it next.
    [4 years ago before Presia meet Jin Vodka]
    [IMG]
    In the mountain peak stands a house isolated from society.

    This is where Presia lives when she is still young. She lived happily when his parents and 3 siblings, mischievous twins and a young boy. Presia was the eldest of the siblings so while her mother is sick, she is the one to take care of her home while his father is away to hunt

    "Mom, I'm done with work"
    "Thank you Presia, you're really a good girl" her mother patted Presia.
    "Hehehe, I'm gonna call my younger siblings for the meal!"

    Presia runs towards where her siblings usually play and heard them discussing something suspicious. She sneakily went behind them to listen.

    "This won't do, it too plain!!"
    "This one so tacky, why are there any pretty flowers"
    "HEY!!! what are doing Sia and Maine" Presia went in between them grinning.
    The two little girl jump in unison " "Big Sis you scared us!!" "

    "So what is it?" Presia tilts her head grins evilly waving her two tails to the twins while they kept their mouth shut.

    "SISTERS!!! I just a perfect gift for Big Sis Presia, four leaf clover" a young boy run towards them waving.

    " " IDIOT REX!! you just give away our surprises " " the two girls shouted in unison their two tails rising above.

    "sorry..." Rex ears and tails drop down sadly.
    "Oh, my~ so that what it is... don't worry I'm still surprised and pleased" Presia smiled and hug her siblings. They started to laugh as they cuddle together.

    "It's almost lunch, so father will arrive with his game, Let's go?" Presia walks with her siblings back home.

    As they went home, her father arrives with a large rabbit. Presia roasted it and they began celebrating Presia's birthday.

    "Presia here, I hope you like it"
    "Father... this is? I really like it!!" Presia twirls around hugging the hairpin. "Did you buy it in the town"
    "Yes... Once you know how to shapeshift hiding your tails and ears. I can take you to the village" her father patted her head smiling.

    " " What about us father!! " " the twins shouted with jealousy.
    "Then you guys should practice well" her father laughs

    One particularly monstrous breed of Bakeneko is a two-tailed variety known as Nekomata. Nekomata are found in cities and villages, transformed from ordinary Cats. They are born in the same way as other Bakeneko, though only the oldest, largest cats with the longest tails (and thus more power and intelligence) become this powerful variety. When these cats transform from ordinary animals into yokai, their tale splits down the center into two identical tails. These are the monster cats most likely to be seen walking about on their hind legs and speaking human languages.

    Both of Presia parents were cats turned into Nekomata.
    Presia and her siblings were a type of Nekomata born from this union and a rare breed for a young Nekomata to be born.

    While the family is having fun they heard a knock.
    His father opened it and sees two large burly men.

    "We are right.. they are two-tailed cats here~" the man laughs
    "You guys are!!" her father was on high alert but he was suddenly punched in the stomach.

    "...run" before he could continue he was then electrocuted by one mage of the group.

    "This old cat seems to fetch a high price to the Colosseum and about the kids hehe"
    "Hey grabs the kids make sure you don't damage them!"
    "Of course... hehe come here cutie" the men started to get closer to the scared children still shocked seeing their father unconscious.

    "Let's run!!" Presia grabs his siblings hands and went to their mother room.

    "What about Father!" Rex shouted worriedly while the twins shiver in fear.
    "Don't worry, Father will be fine once he walks up isn't he the strongest blade dancer!! He will be fine" Presia tried to convince them but the feeling of anxiety was still in her heart.

    "Oh what do you have here" a man titled his head staring at the kids entering the room.

    "MOTHER!!" Presia shouted seeing her mother was being dragged outside the window. "Let go of her"
    Presia rushes as she pulls a whip, she runs toward the man and uses dance steps to dodge. She then leaps and tightens the whip around the man neck.

    '...no I can'
    Presia hesitated on killing the man and lessen the whip. The man quickly takes this chance and grab her neck.

    "You brats should just behave yourself"
    "We caught the others!!"
    "Noo!! let go of us" the children squirm.
    "let go *cough cough *of my kids" their mother started to drag her body on the floor as she couldn't walk.

    "How about this old cat? ew disgusting she has many dark spots and disabled"
    "She's a dying sick cat leave her"
    "Tie them up they are important merchandise, this is a windfall "
    "Hahaha lucky we see a man leaving to the mountains or we could notice these Nekomatas"

    The man started to tie up the children and their father as they walk away from the house. The mother was left all alone while Presia tries hard to struggle.

    "Stop squirming around" the man hit Presia.

    Before she starts to lose consciousness. She sees the town she was anticipating to visit. The town was burning, many people were screaming and many large men are killing the villagers, some drag away and the place was looted.

    Presia eyes started to blur and she enters into a sleep.

    .........

    Presia was shocked to be she was seeing. She was placed on a stage with a collar in her neck and handcuffs to both her hands.

    "Ladies and Gentlemen!! This is the highlight of today Auction. Here we have a Nekomata girl with beautiful pinkish white fur and yellow eyes!! Nekomata's are rare species of monster cats with two tails. Additionally, she's only 14 and her body already pleasing, just imagine once she matured!! Now let's start the bid"

    Presia shivered from the many eyes staring at her.
    The crowd started to shout at one each other saying their bid. The amount keeps increasing as the people eyed the merchandise.

    Presia stand still as her eyes are filled with confusion on what was happening.

    So many Adventurers had decided to return to Aeternus after the Raid but I was one of the few who decided to stay. I had no idea what the Guildmaster had in mind but I felt it was important for me to be here.

    Not that I was arrogant enough to think I could help in any way. It was more the fact that I was immensely concerned about the heightened effect the souls had on me. It was highly irregular so it made me want to understand the root of the problem. If I could somehow lessen the craving of my Kalman Väki blood, the better.

    It wasn't that I was shunning that side of my heritage. It was more that the original plan was to slowly acclimate myself to it. Not recklessly dive in, head first.

    Despite reclaiming the city and winning the protracted battle, the souls of those who died still lingered. The land's memory of such bloodshed had helped them to cling and settle here. I had no clue if it was a bad thing but I could no longer hear that incessant voice demanding to sate my craving. Instead, my sensitivity to my surroundings had become more acute. However, it wasn't in a way that I had ever encountered before.

    Thanks to years of discipline, I had become highly sensitive to mana flow. Thanks to my bloodline, I was extremely cognizant of the streams of ignis . This felt totally unlike the two and yet it felt so similar at the same time. Mana like the air in the sky and ignis like the solid ground under my feet. While the souls, meanwhile, felt somewhat like interlopers.

    They were never meant to linger. In death, they were supposed to move on. However, the bloodshed had spoiled the flow of mana and ignis to the point that the imbalance allowed them foothold here and clung to the lingering feelings of anger, regret, fear, and whatever negative thing that emanated in the vicinity.

    I groaned. My head was a mess trying to understand all this. It didn't help that the locals were looking at me with heavy suspicion. As much as I wanted to offer prayers and cleanse the land, I doubted the locals would be so forthcoming.

    After all, who among them would believe that I was a legitimate Miko? With my looks, it would be a little hard to believe. Also, I had no proof my training as a priestess would be the same in this land. True there were many similarities but I had yet to see anything that would prove it was in any way identical.

    Another thing, I had promised that I wouldn't use my Miko skills here as much as possible. That way, I would get the chance to focus on learning more about the usage of ignis. As things were going, however, I think it was ample time to go back to my roots.

    I realized then that I seriously needed to rethink my training routine. At this juncture, I think separating the two, my Miko side plus my Kalman Väki one, would do me more harm than good. I needed to find a way to make these two sides work together.

    Ironically, it was my mother, the full-fledged priestess, who even said to me, “Your fae side is part of you. It makes no sense for you to analytically think about it. You must find a way for it to naturally work for you instead of letting it be your driving force. It is not a separate entity. You are a human Kalman Väki. I may not understand or feel this ignis your fae blood is in affinity with but I at least know that you should never consider it as an outside force you have to learn to manipulate. That is what your Miko skills are, not the other way around. Remember that.”

    And yet, I treated it as the opposite. Being born in the temple as half-fae had made me become an oddity. I was in no way shunned due to how influential my mother was but I was definitely not treated like the others. More often than not, I was usually left alone which I never really minded. Especially after meeting my oni hunting team. Kana and Aika became such loyal friends of mine that they were angered in my behalf for being treated as somewhat of an outsider, which I never really thought about to be honest.

    What I’m concerned about now was that for some reason, my fae side was going a little out of control. Was it because I’ve been trying too hard to relegate that side of my heritage as a separate entity even after being told not to? To be so immersed in Miko education and then suddenly switch out to a different style was incredibly difficult. Judging from how I approached the whole thing, I seemed to have made an error somewhere. To rectify it, I wanted to go back to the start and approach my miko skills together with my fae blood. Only then did I feel like I’d be able to balance the two better.

    At present, with my Kalman Väki heritage taking front and center, my control was getting oddly out of hand. Probably because I was consciously pushing what I had learned as a Miko did it become like this. One important, basic lesson I had learned at the temple was how to keep my mind clear and strong against outside influence. Lately, it seemed I failed even at this. Which led me to my current predicament.

    A heightened sensitivity to the dead souls gathered here due to the recent raid.

    Their anger and dissatisfaction was feeding the craving of my fae blood. If I had relied on my Miko skills, then I believed my control over these voices would be more manageable. Which made me suddenly think of something.

    Why did I promise not to use my Miko skills in the first place? What an odd thing to do. It was very uncharacteristic of me to push aside things I mastered just to learn something new. I felt a nagging sense in my gut that there was something more to this and it made me apprehensive. I tried thinking about the reason for my suspicion but the more I thought about it, the more agitated I became. My heart was beating so loudly that it was a drumbeat in my ears.

    I’ve had enough. Taking a deep breath, I started to chant under my breath.

    Retsu. Zai.

    On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka. On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka. On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka.

    Jin. Sha. Tō. Rin.

    Retsu. Zai.

    On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka. On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka. On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka.

    Jin. Sha. Tō. Rin.

    Retsu. Zai.

    On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka. On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka. On baï shi ra man ta ya sowaka.

    Jin. Sha. Tō. Rin.

    On retsu zai jin sha tō rin sowaka.
    On retsu zai jin sha tō rin sowaka.
    On retsu zai jin sha tō rin sowaka.
    On retsu zai jin sha tō rin sowaka.
    On retsu zai jin sha tō rin sowaka.
    On retsu zai jin sha tō rin sowaka.

    On aganaya in maya sowaka.

    After that, I turned my left hand palm up and drew four horizontal lines and four vertical lines across, clapped my hands thrice, and bowed towards the Southern direction.

    The chants, mantras, mudras, and the like were situational, as taught by our temple. There was no definite prayer for a single technique because it was heavily reliant on the person's intent. My prayer for a Cleansing could be different from another person's because what my aim could be different. Their focus could be in treating the symptoms first and then go for the root cause and I could be doing the exact opposite.

    Not that the other would give better results. One had to adjust depending on what happened next. What I did just now was for a sort of healing for the mind. To be more precise, a prayer to give harmony to my mind. That way, hopefully, it wouldn't be hard to make sense of things.

    The mantra did what it was supposed to do. It cleared up my mind of any unnecessary thoughts and became orderly. True I could still hear the souls of the dead but it was now relegated as background noise.

    What concerned me more was when I noticed something inside my mind that wasn't supposed to be there. Someone had left an imprint behind enforcing my disuse of miko skills. However, it failed to take hold. The imprint was weak and one simple mantra to clear the mind, which I had done, had weakened it.

    Why put something with so much flaws in there to begin with? Normally, I would start to think about motives now but the imprint gave me pause. I suddenly realized that I recognized the impression left behind by whoever had done it.

    Rather, impressions. There were three.

    First was my mother. Then there was Kane's. Finally, the last one was my own. My mother was the one who put it in, my husband placed the lock, and I reinforced it. Two of the most important people in my life and then myself. Why? For what purpose?

    What was even more shocking was that another imprint lay beneath like a sealed box. It was similar to the first layer I had just broken through but more complex. Again, the three impressions were there. How many sealed layers were there in my mind and what sort of requirements were there that needed to be done to unlock them?

    The first layer had something to do about controlling my impulse to access my Miko skills. Now that I broke through it, I now had no lingering conflict in using my old techniques. The fact that the imprint was so specific was troubling for me. Also, the seal mechanism was so easy to break through leading me to believe that it was never meant to be a permanent fixture. Which begged the question, why put it in the first place?

    I felt stupid when my thoughts kept going around in circles. Though I had planned to study the other imprint I had seen, it would do me no good to force it. An imprint was a very specific seal-type skill that enabled the caster to input strong suggestions in a person’s mind and make them act according to what was recorded into it. The unnerving thing about imprints was that you thought said actions were your own and not from an outside influence.

    It was a particularly nasty skill and quite difficult to do because a lot of preparation was needed to make it in the first place. It also wasn’t a reliable one considering the mind of a person had a natural defense mechanism that didn’t allow the imprint to take permanent hold. As to how long the imprint would stay, it was different per person.

    However, I didn’t have the luxury to think about that right now. Though the imprint left in my mind was indeed an important matter, I recognized it for what it was. A breadcrumb in a trail left for me to follow. Knowing my proclivity for not wanting anything implanted in my mind that wasn’t my own, this imprint in my head was the perfect motivator. I was sure it was my mother who thought about such a roundabout way of teaching me something. As to why it had to be this troublesome? That was something I had yet to find out.

    For now, I needed to reorder my prioritites. First, I needed to start using my Miko skills again. With it being sealed away thanks to that imprint, all the basic mental training associated with it had become inaccessible.

    No wonder I had trouble focusing in this raid. With such a massive scale of killings, it was inevitable that my fae blood would react. If I had my Miko skills on standby, I would have automatically dealt with it before it became a problem.

    Taking note to be more cautious now, I double-checked my inventory. I had, thankfully, quite a number of talismans and shikigami. My calligrahy set was also here as well as my Miko uniform. It was a customized garb made for combat that I used back in my oni hunting days.

    I had all the basic necessities. All except for my shakujou. Normally, only monks carried those but we had long modified the staff for our use. Each oni hunter was required to have one and the making of a shakujou was a serious matter. I wondered if I could commission for one in the Guild.

    I seriously considered it and and decided to go ahead with the commission. If I was going to be committed to going back to my roots, I needed my shakujou. There was only one reason for me not to have my old one. It must have broken some time ago. However hard I tried to remember how I broke it, the memory of the incident eluded me. Probably had something to do with the imprint in my head.

    With the design of the shakujou fresh in my mind, I went in search of the Guildmaster. Hopefully, there won't be any difficult issues with making it.

    [OOC] This was all over the place! Not too pleased with it but anyway, @shad12ow the highlighted section was the one written in the request form :blobpeek: But the rest is just a prelude to it so you don't really have to read the whole thing.

    A young boy once lived in a distant city known as Horizon. This city is his home, and the home of his mother. They were a normal family of 2, and lived a normal life...

    The city was calm that day.
    Sunny with a sky only wearing a few clouds.

    The young boy was playing with his mother when suddenly he heard explosions and screams coming from outside. As the boy heard this, he looked out the window shades, only to see...

    Red.

    Red everywhere.

    Winged... People, were slaughtering everything in their sights.

    The young boy was confused as this was the first time he's ever seen something like this. He looked back with a questioning face towards his mom. Then he saw her expression. He'd never seen her like that ever before.

    She wasn't afraid.

    Nor was she angry.

    Her face was as stern as a stone, facing the raging storm of battle.
    The young boy, seeing this, got scared, but his mother then shook herself out of this trance. She looked at him and gave him a gentle smile, calming him down. As his mother proceeded to pick him up, the roof began peeling off, as if a school boy were opening his packed lunch.

    The mother seeing this, proceeded to dash into the cellar of their house. Over her shoulder, the boy saw a group of winged people pouring into his now roofless house.

    As his mother sprinted to the cellar, the still confused boy heard her mumble something barely discernible. "What the hell? Why now? He's still only 6 years old, I should've had more time... How the fuck did they find me?!"

    The boy only snapped out of his confusion when his mother sat him down on a drawing, some kind of pentagram. The boy grew fearful as the mother shed her stern face for a second, looking helplessly at her little boy. Taking off an amulet the boy never seemed to notice before, the mother wrapped it around the boy's neck.

    The boy seeing this, began to shake, eyes wide open, pupils dilated.

    The winged people began to burst into the cellar. The boy's mother, seeing this, quickly chanted something in an unknown language, which then caused the pentagram to glow.

    The boy suddenly felt something wrong.

    He stared at his mother, and upon seeing her turn around, he began to scream and cry.

    She started to walk towards the winged people. The boy began trying to run out of the pentagram, only to notice some sort of invisible wall was blocking him. Even as he realized this, he continued trying to break through.

    He then saw his mother, his beautiful mother, the mother he's always loved, forever and only, slowly turn her head.

    Tears.

    Tears, like a gentle crystal stream, were flowing down her face.

    As the pentagram continued to glow brighter, the boy could only barely see his mother now.

    Right before the light rose to it's epitome the boy saw his mother say something. He couldn't hear anything through the wall, yet his childish mind could still understand what she was saying as he continued to scream and cry. It was the same thing she'd always say to him, and the same single phrase he could never, ever forget.

    "I love you."
    "MOM!!!!"

    Mom!!!
    Oh. It was the dream again...
    "Shit..."
    Every single night, I won't ever, can't ever forget.
    "Mom..."
    I keep having the same exact nightmare, even after 10 years. Despite all the suffering I've had to endure to finally reach this city. Having to hitchhike boats, hide in cargo carriages, steal, beg... kill.

    But I still can't forget. Even if I could, I never would be willing to.

    Never.

    I let out a sigh as I clutch the amulet around my neck.
    "Too weak... And even if I wasn't, I know practically nothing about the situation. How could I do anything if I don't know where to start."

    I get out of the stiff bed, stretching as I start getting dressed.
    "I guess it's time to register, that is what I came to this city for after all..."
    I need any information I can get. I've only learned that those winged people are called "Angels". I don't why they were there, and nobody I've asked in all these years knew anything about them...

    The "Angels" are strong. If they're strong, other strong people should know about them. If I'm going to learn anything, I need to go to a place where strong people gather.

    This is the perfect way to find them.
    I finally have a place to start, I can't give it up now.

    I go downstairs and thank the inn lady for letting me stay for free. I ran out of all my money just getting here.
    Haaa~~
    "Well whatever, time to head over."

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I didn't really notice it yesterday, but this city is insane. There's way too many people here. I can barely see the end of the street.
    Haa~~
    Guess I'll need to ask for directions...
    Oh! Those people seem nice!
    "Um, excuse me? Do you know where the Adventurer's Guild is?"
    "Fuck off or we'll turn you to pulp, shitty brat."
    Shot down right at the start...
    Haa~~
    Definitely an insane city. Definitely.
    But I know for a fact, this isn't the worse. There are a lot more crazy places. I had to go through a port with basically only beggars, scumbags and murderers before actually getting close to the city.
    Guess I'll try using a bit of wind magic, I should be able to figure out where to go with this.
    Using magic to eavesdrop on various conversations in the city, I finally made my way to the guild door.
    Took me long enough.
    "I swear on my life, I will save you mom..."
    As I mumble this, I enter the guild.
    OOC: This is a W.I.P. (Work in Progress), I'll be updating it whenever I have the time. And I'll be implementing what I do as an adventurer into it. Please enjoy. ^-^
    The main Guild building had looked grand from the outside. Once the newcomer stepped into the structure, she was impressed that everything was in proper order. No dirt and grime on the floors like usual mercenary establishments. Windows were spotless and even the surroundings were dust free. It seemed that Adventurers were more disciplined here in Aeternus. The place stopped from looking militant thanks to a few trinkets here and there that made it feel welcoming rather than imposing.
    Forcing her mind back to her objective, the woman continued to walk on, her military boots leaving a slight echoing sound in the front lobby. Finally, she reached the front desk. Upon seeing somebody there, she stood firm and gave a strong salute.
    "Peacekeeper Hildagarde, reporting for duty!"
    [IMG]
    The receptionist working the shift jolted in surprise. When she looked up, she saw a rather imposing woman in military garb standing there. Confused at this, the receptionist asked, "May I inquire about your business here?"
    Still in her military pose, Hildagarde responded staunchly, "I am the newly appointed Peacekeeper for the city's Tavern. May I please know if the Guildmaster is here?"
    The receptionist was even more startled at this. "Oh, yes, please! This way." She stood up and walked the route to the Guildmaster's office. Knocking to announce their arrival, the receptionist then opened the door much to Hildagrade's surprise. Was she not going to wait for whoever was inside to call them in?
    "Guildmaster! Someone here for you!" The receptionist then smiled at the woman and ran off.
    Confused, Hildagarde walked inside the office and marched to the desk she saw upon entering. Again, she stood firm and gave a salute.
    "Peacekeeper Hildagarde, reporting for duty!"
    Jin was alone, after his quest of Hubo and escape to the Tavern disappearing somewhere.
    That night finally comes as he returns to his room.
    He was shocked to found Presia sleeping on his bed, puzzled he started shaking her.
    “Wake Presia, I need to sleep. Go to your room” Jin tried to wake her up.
    "......." Presia wakes up in daze and suddenly hug Jin.
    “Wait! Wait! What are you doing!?” Jin blush hard as to the unexpected contact but he suddenly stop blushing when he feel his shirt getting wet. He started to hear a sobbing sound.
    “Hey~ are you alright Presia?” Jin worriedly ask as he return the hug and patted her head.
    “Father…. Why do you guys have to leave me alone”
    Presia mumbles.
    “.....?” Jin was confused, ‘Wait is she confusing me as her father?’
    Presia suddenly jolted as she leapt away in pale for hugging Jin suddenly. “Ah! Sorry!!”
    “Don’t worry about it, why don’t we have a sit and let’s talk about what’s troubling you?” Jin smiles and move on the chair as he sits and glance to the chair next to him. Presia slowly moves toward it and sit.
    Several minutes past before she started to talk….
    ………….
    [IMG]
    ....... 14 years old
    Presia was bought by a wealthy noble. The Noble was notorious for his reputation as a pedophile and frequent buyer of child slaves.
    The Noble was the first one to be killed by her. Through desperation and fear from the assault of the fat greasy old man. She could only use her fangs to rip his neck off due to her hand being held above her head. She had repeatedly stabbed him with the hairpin gifted by her father as her only weapon.
    Guilt arises from her but also disgust from her experience. This cause for her to hate being touch by men. If any men touch her, she would not resist ripping their hands off.
    She decided to first head home and look for her mother.
    ...... 14 years and 1 month old
    Presia's mother was nothing but a corpse when she arrives. She already suspected that her mother will die by starvation but she was hoping for a miracle.
    She cried for hours and burn the remains of her mother. Vowing that she will find her father and siblings.
    ....... 14 years and 3 months old
    For several months, Presia was able to gather info about her father. A male Nekomata cat was fighting in a Coliseum where different types of beasts are pit to death for entertainment.
    As she arrived she sees his father losing his leg against a large Drake. Her father notices her and smiled muttering "I'm glad your safe" before he got eaten alive. Presia screamed and cried but her voice was not heard due to the roar of the audience.
    Devasted, she decided to be strong to save her siblings.
    ......... 14 years and 7 months old
    Presia found a lead about her younger brother from a black market as she notices a familiar two tail hanging in a display. The tail was sold by a mage who is famous for studying beasts.
    As she infiltrated his mansion, she sees her brother displayed with half his insides exposed. Enrage, suddenly 2 fire emerge on Presia's two tails. She angrily killed and burned the Mage together with his mansion.
    ......... 14 years and 11 months old
    Presia discovered that her two twin sisters were separated. One was being held as a slave by a rich merchant while the other was in an unfamiliar establishment.
    She witnesses her sister being whip to death for failing a task. She quickly saves her sister only to see her dead from exhaustion. Without hesitation, she whips the merchant to death as a revenge.
    The only hope she has left was her last sister. She disguises herself as a man because it seems the customers are only men in that establish. She found her sister withered and lifeless begging for something to her. Noticing that her sister is not in the right mind and is too sick to save. Presia had no choice but to kill her to end her suffering.
    ........
    Presia having lost everything become a malevolent cat demon unlocking a new power that controls the spirits. She could only move forward by avenging her lost family.
    ........ 15 years and 2 months old
    Presia was able to annihilate the bandits that ruined her life.
    She had tormented their souls until she was satisfied.
    But in the end, she couldn't feel anything. Her eyes become lifeless as the vengeful spirits gather around her. Blinded by rage and emptiness she completely lost herself and become nothing but a monster.
    ........ 16 years old
    Presia was known as the [Vengeful Demon Cat]. Like a lifeless doll, she only moves to kill the people which the evil spirits have a grudge. Even if she becomes a monster, she still won't kill women and children for some reasons.
    ......... 16 years old and 3 months
    Presia has finally met her match as 3 people in white robe subjugate her. The tallest man was the strongest as he could create powerful holy spells to easily disintegrate all the spirits that Presia controls.
    For several hours of chasing, Presia was finally cornered as she prepares to unleash her last attack. Suddenly as she attacks the one white robe she stops at seeing it was a woman and has a pale blond hair like her father. The white robe woman was shocked to see the demon cat still has consciousness.
    She stops her allies and tried to persuade Presia, her words call Presia back to humanity.
    The strongest one quickly put a seal on her as the woman robe suggested.
    Golden seals with blue jewel are attached to Presia in a form accessory, in her ears, tails hands, feet and necks.
    With this Presia lost the spirit flames in her body as she falls in the embrace of the woman.
    ......... 17 years old
    Presia is taken care in the monastery where the white robe people belong. The only one she opens to is Anjie the woman in a robe that gives back her humanity. Anjie was a kind priestess, she has pale blond and fair skin just like her father. She acts like the big sister and takes care of her.
    Since Presia takes care of her household chores before, she adapted pretty well in the monastery. She was recovering well and is hasn't shown attractions to the evil spirits.
    Sadly she still harbors hatred to men that she ends up injuring one. Which causes a lot of trouble.
    ......... 17 years old 2 months
    Anjie tried her best to make Presia hatred to men lessens. The method she found was a bit weird cause she been using Romance novels to teach Presia that there are still decent men. Weirdly enough, it kinda work a bit since Presia stop hurting men and controls herself as she sees not all men are evil. Sadly, she still can't talk with them.
    ......... 17 years old 5 months
    Presia found a group of minstrels under attack by bandits. She quickly save the minstrels but glared to them since they were men.
    Presia said she’s not comfortable talking with men so she would like to talk to a woman. Hearing this a male Catsith introduce himself as Flyx and transform into a Bunny Girl.
    Suddenly, Presia grabs her(his) hand and ask to help her heal her hatred to men.
    ......... 17 years old 6 months
    Presia suddenly carried a bunny girl named Fluff and introduce it as her husband. The monastery was in chaos and later found out it was actually a male Catsith Bard named Flyx.
    After trying to persuade Presia many times that just saving one person doesn’t equal to romance.
    Flyx was able to escape the strange situation.
    But still Presia visits Flyx in his bunny girl form. The two become close friends.
    ......... 18 years old
    Presia first mission with Anjie and another male cleric. They have traveled in a distance place, to heal some demi-humans under a strange sickness.
    A group of unknown men started to capture all of them while calling them heretics and gather the demi-humans around. The male cleric resisted but was beheaded, shortly the other demi-humans were killed one by one.
    Presia see's Anjie was being drag towards to pillar as they prepare to burn her alive. Being tied up unable to move, she was filled in anger as the death souls of the victims gather around her. The seals break and Presia once again become a [Vengeful Demon Cat] as she rampage and kills all the culprits around her.
    When she awakens she sees herself in Anjie’s embrace. Anjie’s arm is missing she called out Presia as her remaining hand touch Presia's cheeks. A weak voice was heard and told her “I’m glad your back, you look in so much pain” as she laid unconscious.
    Presia screamed in sadness as tears fall from her eyes. She become monster again but instead saving the people she care, she ended hurting them instead. That day Presia disappears never to seen again by the monastery.
    ......... 18 years old 10 months
    Flyx has encountered Presia lifeless like a broken doll. They travel around as Flyx used her female form while Presia only followed silently.
    Little by little with the power of his music. Presia started to dance and regain some of her smile.Together with Presia as the dancer and him as the bard they were able to survive by entertaining the masses and receive money for it. They started to travel to Flyx hometown in the Far East Continent.
    Since Presia charm was pretty high that she always attracted trouble. She suggested to Flyx to acts as her husband so the men will not bother her.
    ......... 19 years old
    Flyx finally reach his hometown in the Far East Continent. Acting as a husband and wife, they were able to avoid any troubles that until they got separated by the attack of some bandits to the Fujiwara Town.
    Then she meet Jin Vodka wearing his hoodie. His pale blond his peeking out triggers to her beautiful memories of her family and the monastery.
    Using the excuse of following Flyx, she followed Jin to remember the fleeting happiness that she has lost.
    …………
    Jin tried his best not to cry since his not wearing his helm. So now his expression is pretty much expose.
    “You’ve been gone through a lot, everything is alright” Jin silently patted Presia head as she sobs. “Do you need some tea to make you feel better? Perhaps some cake-”
    Before Jin could prepare midnight snacks for Presia, his arm was grab.
    “I’m alright, now that I told you about it” Presia smiled.
    “I see… then I am glad, if you need anything just tell me, okay” Jin wipe Presia’s tear with the cuff of his sleeves as he give his gentlest smile.
    “Umm… then...” Presia fidgeted as she look upturned to Jin. “Can I have a kiss on my head, my father always does that to make me feel better”
    “...........” Jin cheeks went red as he covered his mouth but then went pale afterwards. ‘I ain’t your Father!!’ Jin shouted inwardly and wanted to retort but seeing Presia sad face hurts right through his heart. With no other choice he lean to Presia’s head a give a short kiss.
    “Here feel better?” Jin smiled gently as he patted Presia.
    “Thanks~ Master Vodka” Presia smiled as she went out to his room skipping happily.
    “If you have any problems, just talk to me okay” Jin said as he lastly see Presia smiling before she leave his room.
    ..........
    Jin laid down on the bed and closes his eyes feeling tired but quite glad he was of help to Presia.
    ..........
    Presia meanwhile was staring on the night sky while holding the seal on her neck while remembering a certain poem
    People come and go
    like the waves on the shore,
    even those you adore
    can float away forevermore.
    Yet time marches on over a land time forgot,
    as faces fade till gone
    ending like ironraindrops.
    trickling to the ground
    and flowing away from me
    as I then look around
    seeing a memory from the sea…
    The closer it gets the more I remember,
    my mind fills with regrets
    but my heart burns like an ember.
    As his sweet kiss upon my lips
    shows memories lost can be found
    for on the other side of an eclipse
    the sun always comes back around…
    OOC: Done 2k words~ well I was kinda lazy so I made it short hehehe
    ((This should happen sometime after Hikari fell asleep on Mama's embrace.
    As with the last ones, there are some hard to read color codes on this report... Sorry for all the bother...))
    It was dark... Hikari was falling... Hikari didn't want to fall, Hikari didn't understand why, but Hikari understood that... Falling was definitely something Hikari should avoid.
    At the same time, falling was soothing, relieving... Hikari wondered where this feeling came from... But still, Hikari doesn't want it... If only... Hikari could... Climb... But how?
    Eh? A... Light? It is... Getting closer to Hikari...
    "So you already came back... I was hoping it wouldn't be this quick... You're there, aren't you, Hikari?"
    *tilts head* "Hikari... Knows you? Hikari is confused... What do you mean with Hikari being here though...? Where else could Hikari be?"
    *sighs* "Thought so... You know me, but you don't remember me. I remember you though."
    "I-is that so? Hi-Hikari apologizes, Hikari doesn't remember... You are...?"
    "Me? I'm you."
    "... Eh?"
    "Confusing right? But it's the truth... Well, half truth."
    "Hikari doesn't... Understand?"
    *tilts head to the other side*
    "Well, I'm more like... A fragment, a small part of what was once you. A broken piece that refused to fall, and remained within you."
    "What was once... Hikari? You mean... You are Hikari's memories? From the time before Hikari lost then!? Bu-but that doesn't make sense! Yukari-sama said that-"
    "Calm down... I said I'm a fragment, didn't I? You're right in saying I am your memories, but I'm only a small piece of them... What survived the loss.
    Actually, I didn't even have a consciousness until some time ago, fate deemed you to live longer though, so the broken pieces of memories you had ended up joining together... And that is me."
    "Fate... So... Remilia-sama's blessing made you? Why though?"
    "To protect you. Your body is killing itself right? The best way to delay it was to have a conscious part of yourself going against it... Turns out that the only part of yourself that could fight it, was what was not you though."
    "Hi... Hikari is sorry... Hikari caused trouble for... Hikari? Hikari isn't sure how to call past Hikari..."
    *giggles* "Just calling me as 'you' is fine silly, don't worry about this kind of small detail.
    And... Don't worry about causing trouble... Sure, I did think that things were somewhat unfair at times, or that I should try and take the body over... But you know? I didn't do it. The people around you just seemed to care so much for you... I didn't want to steal that. A broken doll shouldn't try to substitute a new one..."
    "Y-you shouldn't!
    Hi... Hikari doesn't think that... That past Hikari should refer to herself as a broken thing... You're still alive, aren't you? You're still here... And you helped Hikari... That is plenty for Hikari..."
    "Is that so...? Hmmmm... You're kind.
    Well, I kinda knew that, it's why you're in this situation in the first place... Still, it feels nice to have it told to me directly."
    "Hi-Hikari is!?
    But... Can Hikari really be kind if... Hikari ended up hurting the people near Hikari with her actions...?"
    "Eh? Don't bother with it!
    No, do bother... But don't feel bad about it! You wanted to help someone and hurt yourself in the process! How is that not kind!?
    It's just... Not the type of kindness that you should spread... Since helping others at your stake isn't worth it... I learned that far too late, I guess you did too."
    "Then... Hikari also did... This kind of thing... In the past?"
    *giggles* "More times than you can count~
    I was quite the fool, you know? To keep on doing it time and time again, even after promising not to... In the end, you lost your memories exactly because of that.
    ... Maybe it was a nice thing though? You seemed to not be as much of a fool as I was..."
    "... Was Hikari always... This depressive...? it's sad for Hikari... To see that Hikari was like this... Hikari doesn't think it's good to think like that at all! There ought to be some good things about Hikari!"
    "Haha... Well, if you really want to know it... I think you weren't like that before you lost your memories... Rather, you seemed to somehow keep on being cheerful, even after hurting yourself and those around you time and time again.
    It's just... Somewhat depressing. I know some events. Parts of them actually, and some feelings that came with them, but I don't know how they actually transpired, nor how they affected you.
    I'm simply a mishmash of memories put together for a single purpose... A hopeless purpose of delaying the inevitable... And now that this purpose is done, my existence lost its meaning... It's kinda hard to not be depressive when things are like that."
    "Done...? Then... Hikari is... Dead?"
    Hikari felt a pain in her heart... What was this...?
    No... Hikari shouldn't ask that... She is in pain... She is sad... Hikari should say something...
    "Not yet... Why don't you open your eyes and see it for yourself?"
    "Open... Hikari's... Eyes?"
    "Yes, they're still closed after all."
    Her words resonated within Hikari... "But... Hikari can see you! How could Hikari's eyes be closed!?" Why is Hikari so agitated about it? Hikari doesn't understand...
    "Because I'm not in front of you, I'm within you. It's no wonder you can see me with your eyes closed, is it? Your surroundings though, there won't be anything more than blackness if you don't look at it."
    "Within... Hikari...?"
    Hikari was scared... Hikari was really really scared...
    "You... Don't need to open them if you don't want to... I can understand the fear..."
    "Eh-eh!? Yo-you can sense Hikari's feelings!?"
    "No, but I can see that you're shivering... It's okay... There is no need to push yourself..."
    Shivering? Hikari is... Shivering?
    Hikari looked at her hands... They were trembling... It was scary... What was so scary?
    "What is... Where is this?"
    "A border. A place between places... That which lies between life and death.
    The place that the living go through when they're entering death..."
    "Boundary... It... Doesn't sound... Strange for... Hikari... Why?"
    "Well, it's Yukari-chan's domain, and you have her blessing... Hikari is probably the living being that is closest to death due to that... At the same time, you're far from it, because you don't connect to death itself, but to what lies between life and death...
    Does that make sense? I'm honestly not that sure about what I'm talking about myself... But it's what I can take of it."
    "Uhm... Hikari thinks she understands..."
    *deep breath* "So... The thing scaring Hikari... Is to see the border between life and death?"
    "Probably, this place is connected to you, so you should know what it is, at least on a subconscious level."
    "Got it..."
    Hikari was still scared... But... Hikari wanted to see... Hikari didn't quite understand why though. Why would seeing it make any difference for Hikari?
    Hikari opened her eyes... It felt as if a haze that was around Hikari dissipated. Shouts and pained moans flooded Hikari's ears, an unbearable smell of death entered Hikari's nose and... Lights... Lots and lots of lights, anywhere and everywhere, they were all around Hikari, falling, falling and falling and falling... Towards... A vortex? A portal maybe? It seemed like that...
    The ones near Hikari seemed to try and attach themselves to Hikari, to drag Hikari down... They were expelled by something though... No, someone.
    Hikari looked in front of herself, and found... Hikari? She was fading, transparent, some parts seemed to be missing, but... It was definitely Hikari.
    "You really did open them... You're incredible you know? I could never do it by myself... Good job."
    The lights that kept getting near Hikari kept on getting swatted away by the past Hikari... She seemed to do it with quite some ease... As if... She was completely used to this.
    "How-"
    "How I deal with them like this? It's nothing much, I'm just borrowing your blessing. All I need to do is control the border between the dead and you, for as long as I don't let them cross it, you should be safe from their influence."
    "... You said about Hikari's blessing... Hikari is blessed by... Yukari-sama? Hikari thought the blessing Hikari received was from Remilia-sama though."
    "That's your recent blessing, a blessing of fate. Yukari-chan's blessing is older... I'm not sure when exactly, but it's older than what I can remember, so you might as well have it since you were born... Maybe before that, I'm not sure."
    "Hmm... Then... Can't Hikari use this blessing as well?"
    Hikari felt strange... Why didn't Yukari-sama say anything to Hikari if Hikari had her blessing...
    "Yes... And no. That blessing grew with you and adapted itself to what mixed in best with Hikari... Which is, Mana. It can't simply change suddenly to fulfill the new needs of your body. You can still use it, but you need to manipulate Mana, which is something you don't know how to do, do you?"
    "Hikari... Doesn't...
    But Hikari has no Mana on her body... How is it possible to control Mana then?"
    "Oh, controlling the boundaries take a really small amount of Mana for Hikari, due to you being blessed by it since forever and all that. I can do that much just by using the Mana on the surroundings of your body, it works out pretty easily overall."
    "Hikari sees... Still... Hikari doesn't quite understand why Yukari-sama would keep it from Hikari..."
    "Hmmm... You honestly had more contact with her than I did, but... I think she just didn't want you to try anything reckless with it. Hikari never had the best of records in being careful..."
    "Right... So... What do we do now? We are still falling."
    "Do...?" The past Hikari looked away. "We wait."
    Hikari felt pain... What was this feeling... "Wait... For... For what...?" It was scary... Painful and scary...
    The past Hikari looked below.
    "Death."
    It hurts it hurts it hurts... Why is Hikari hurting so much...? "Bu-but... You said... It isn't our first meet... Didn't Hikari meet you before...? Didn't Hikari leave before!?"
    "Yeah... On a subconscious level. You weren't here fully, that's why you could go back, your consciousness was sleeping, while your subconscious wanted to go away... Like that, it was possible to drag your soul back to your body.
    Right now though? Your body is just an empty carcass, waiting for you to cross that border... And the moment you do... It will be the last your heart beats."
    Pain pain pain pain pain... "No... Hikari doesn't... Hikari doesn't... Want to die..." It hurts so much...
    "Haa... I guess nobody does, do they? You already knew it was coming... It's enough, isn't it? You enjoyed it to your fullest..."
    Ah... Stop hurting please... "No... Hikari didn't... Say goodbye..." Hikari held her head on her hands. "Hikari still have to say goodbye to Mama..." "Hikari, what's happening!?" "To Onee-chan..." "Listen to me, Hikari!" "Hikari has to meet the rest of her family as well..." "Stop! Stop you idiot!!!" "Hikari can't die yet... Hikari..." "Do-don't do it!!" "Needs to... Go... Back..."
    "Come back to your senses you idiot!!"
    Pain... There was a pain on Hikari's cheek... The pain on the rest of Hikari's body started to fade though... What was...
    *huff huff*
    Hikari heard the sound of panting... It came from Past... Hikari? She was... Panting... And crying... And her hand was reddened... What is...?
    "Don't ever worry me like that again!! For the last time! Be more mindful of yourself!!"
    "What...? Hikari doesnt understand...?"
    "Look at yourself!"
    "Look at... Eh!?"
    Hikari was... Hikari was fading... Why was Hikari... Why was Hikari fading!?
    "What is happening!? Hikari doesn't-"
    "You were consuming your own soul..." *sobs* "To say one last goodbye... You would sacrifice your entire being!? To never reincarnate again!? Is this-" *sobs* "is this how much your life is worth for you!? I should've just taken your body over when you fainted in that stupid raid then! At least I'd-" *sobs* "I'd make... I'd be... I could..." *cries* "Idiot... Idiot idiot idiot..." *cries*
    Ah... That pain... That was the pain of Hikari's body... Hikari was going there, wasn't she...? It seems like Hikari is really...
    "Sorry... Hikari seems to have not learned her lesson, even before the very end... It is okay now... It is alright..."
    Hikari hugged her past self... It was okay now... Hikari wouldn't hurt anyone else...
    "Eh? No... You can't touch me... If you do... You might-"
    "It's okay... Hikari won't go anywhere... Hikari is right here..."
    "Idiot..."
    "There there... Hikari is sorry, she'll be sure to stay together... Look, we're almost there."
    "I guess..." *smiles* "Seems like this is goodbye then."
    *shakes head* "Hikari is still Hikari... And you, you are also Hikari... We'll definitely meet again, we're the same after all."
    *wips tears* "Right..." *sobs* "We'll..." *sobs* "See each other again. It's a promise."
    *nod nod* "Of course! Hikari will definitely meet Hikari again! Definitely!"
    *smiles* "You really... See you... On the other side."
    Hikari nodded... It was okay, it will definitely be-
    "Hikari! Your legs are-"
    "Eh!?"
    They were... Disappearing... They were about to touch the portal, but they are disappearing instead... Why...?
    "Your soul... Damn it! Your soul didn't have time to adapt to the burnout! It's not enduring the passage between planes!"
    "Hi-Hikari's soul isn't!? The-then Hikari won't..."
    Hikari felt a strange sensation on her chest... As if something had... Stopped moving... "Hikari... Doesn't want... To disappear..." *starts crying*
    ...
    Hikari's legs had already disappeared entirely... *smiles* "Don't worry... You won't. I'm sorry for not following our promise... It was a short time, but... I'm glad to have been able to stay by your side, it was fun.
    Goodbye, Hikari."
    "Eh!? What are you-"
    Hikari's past self hugged Hikari tightly... And... She threw herself... In?
    Hikari felt fullfilment, as if something that was missing had been restored to her... Hikari felt... Whole...
    "No no no no no no! Come back! You can't..."
    *sobs* "You can't! You also deserved to..." *sobs* "To live..." *sobs* "Again..." *cries*
    Waaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
    Images flooded Hikari's head, time seemed to stop as they flew through Hikari, A blond woman, a turtle, dragons, a man, dark being, a cat, goblins, a blond woman, a fox-kin, a doll, a songstress, they flew and flew and flew... They flew as Hikari cried, and as Hikari shouted, an image kept on Hikari's head... A blond woman... No... Mama... Mama is there... Mama is waiting for Hikari...
    Hikari's body was over halfway in... Hikari's chest was about to go through... But Hikari... Doesn't...
    Something happened within Hikari. What was one, was now two, and the two became four... And now it was becoming one again, it merged, something merged and it merged... Fast.
    It grew, it grew as it merged, it grew larger than what Hikari could withstand. It grew, and enveloped Hikari... Hikari glowed, and Hikari felt... Different. Something... Something changed within Hikari.
    Hikari soared, Hikari soared up, Hikari's body was whole again, but... It didn't feel like Hikari's body. Hikari didn't understand... Hikari wasn't even on her body in the first place, was she? What is happening to Hikari...?
    Hikari kept on soaring, the souls of the dead shied away from Hikari, as if Hikari was something they didn't dare touch anymore...
    It was bright, Hikari saw the brightness... Hikari soared through it and...
    Hikari was home. Hikari was... Hikari was on her bed, next to Hikari was Mama, holding Hikari's hand... And Hikari... Felt weak.
    Weak... But not in pain. Hungry, and extremely weak...
    Hikari understood nothing... But Hikari didn't care... Hikari just...
    Hikari hugged Mama, and Hikari cried. Hikari cried until Hikari couldn't cry anymore.
    ((Alright, I know the ending is stupidly confusing, but I swear there is a reason behind it! I'll explain things properly on the next SS, it will be the closure of the "Sick Hikari Arc" (name chosen in a whim just now), so... Just wait for it I guess?
    Oh, and this was the last one in which I used terribly hard to read color codes, my codes will be normal again starting on the next one! \(^^)/
    Now I only need to grant Kyuu-chan's quest, appraise Kuma-chan and Jin-kun's quest and catch up to the tavern... >.>
    Oh well, let's start with the easiest one! I can do the others after dinner!))
    OOC: Uum... To shorten my Intro Story, i'll put all link here. Sorry for the Intrusion~
    Uugh...
    I woke up with a slight headache. As i open my eyes, all i could see is dirt. Why did i wake up here? As i tried to remember what happen, my slight headache got worsen. Since i can't remember it right now, I look at my surrounding to see where i am instead.
    It's seems that i have wake up inside a cave or maybe a mine since my surrounding seems to be dirt instead of stones. Above my head, i could see sunlight passing through a hole. Fortunately, it's not that far and it seems that i could get out if i build a foothold using the red dirt
    I climb and keep climbing. it seems that the cave i wake up at is located in a really deep hole. Did i fall into this hole and hit my own head? maybe that's why i have this headache and wake up inside that cave.
    After a long long climbing, i finally out of the hole. No wonder i was unconscious... If i were to fall from this height, unconscious and memory lost would probably not my only problem. But, before i could even feel happy for getting out of the hole, I heard an announcement.
    "On the coronation of @akki hime a bunny was hopping while hugging a present.
    I'm late! I'm late! The bunny said. But it tripped n scattered something that cast sparkling bunny dust on NUF!
    [Status: (\_/) You have been affected by Bunny related avatar!] [Event: Bunny Day has been created on NUF]
    ~ ^ Created by the one and only and totally awesome @Chiaroscuro :X3::love:"
    And with that, glittering dust appear out of nowhere and fall onto me.
    ...Huh?
    My body became slightly uncomfortable and suddenly my hearing and eyesight become better! I reach to the side of my head, it feels smooth, as if nothing was there in the first place, and when i reach to the top of my head, i could feel 2 fluffy long rabbit ear! And to add another one to my shock, with the help of my enchanted eyes and ears, i realize something...
    WHERE AM I! WHY DID I TURN INTO THIS?!
    This place is not my home. This is a Foreign Land.
    *Dum*
    A deep sound could be heard from my boots. The surrounding instantly went quiet as i walk into the unfamiliar building.
    Inside, a lot of people from many kind of race and places, but right now they all have some thing in common.
    They are all looking at me.
    This is the first time in my life that i have so much attention. But before i could even get nervous, everyone went back to what they are doing previously.
    In a foreign place, with no one to talk with, i decide to go to the part of the building that seems like the information booth.
    Uuuh, excuse me. may i ask what kind of place this is? i'm kind of lost....
    ((If you wish to join, there is a template on the first post on what information you need on your guild card. Submit that and we'll process your application.))
    Eh? Eh? Where is that voice came from? Template? 1st Post? Application? Eh? What should I do?!
    I look around, searching for the source of the voice, but in this place that packed with people, it's like searching a needle in a haystack.
    Judging from the voice i conclude that it's a female, but even with that in mind, i still can't seems to find the right person.
    That is, until i saw a girl with a pink bunny-like rain jacket(?) looking at me while smiling.
    ... I think she's the one that talk to me, or at least that's what my guts told me.
    I went to the girl who seems to be standing behind a counter. Does that mean the place that i think as "Info booth" is the wrong place to go?
    Uuum.... Miss, do you know what place is this? and Where am i?
    Being asked suddenly by me, starts smiling confusedly
    ((You should fill the form at the booth that you just went to join the Adventurer's Guild.
    As to answer your question on where you are right now the guild's current status allows you to understand where you are.
    Basically This is the Adventurer's Guild. The Guild main headquarter is in the Floating City of Aeternus. It is a city built on top of an artificial island. It is powered by an artificial mana heart that supply power to the whole island. To get to the island, there is a teleportation portal in the center of the city that connects to 3 different places: Delta Town, Desert Village, and Frontier Village.
    The guild is in bad term with the Holy Kingdom of Man in the East due to their human supremacist mindset. But we are not in a war situation.
    The guild is in alliance with the Half-Orc, the Ithlon Elven Tribe, the Tauren Tribe, the Kobold Trible (at the Frontier Village), the Tengu (at the flying island), and the Mermaid.
    Aaah... Standing here all day long is boring... *rolling in laziness* ))
    Owh, So this really is the Adventurer Guild... Ok. I'll fill it right away.
    A few moments later
    Uuum... excuse me, here. I have filled the form that you want me to fill.
    After i hand over the form, the girl put on a smile and starts filling something with the info from the form. She then ask me to wait for a few minute for the registration to be processed. Before i could leave i notice someone come from inside the office.
    A man dressed in black came from behind the female receptionist. He gestured her to let him handle this one. The staff bowed and stepped aside for the Guildmaster to look at the form. After reading the form for a bit, he snapped his finger. A small mechanical spider crawled from underneath the counter, bringing a small object toward the newcomer.
    "Welcome to the Guild~! I am Shadow, the Guildmaster. Your registration process has been finished. Please take this item box as your first item. It can store a lot of thing. Please go to the tavern to chat with the other member before you take any quest from the quest board. And with that, I wish your adventure be a grand one~!"
    Suddenly seeing a what seems to be the leader of the place I give a bow befitting the other party status.
    I Thank you for your kindness and the gift
    EDIT: I'll add the "Going to the Adventurer Guild" part soon
    My small introduction, I hope you enjoy
    P.S Just so you all know this is my first time doing this kind of thing and this took hours to do.
    what is this?
    All I see is ruins, corpses, and blood.
    ''What happen here?''
    As I look around me I noticed that there was stuff besides me. One white katana and a black one, black leather armor, a black robe. a black skull mask and a black book with the title ''The way of Yin-Yang cultivation''. I picked up the book and read through it.
    But midway through I got a headache and got memories of what happened here.
    This body's name was Kim Long, the sole survivor of a secret but powerful ancient sword clan. It seems that this boy fainted and crashed his head against a rock when he fell and died after to have witnessed all his clan's member die.
    ''So this seems that this is what people call transfer to another world or to be more specific possess a body in another world''
    it's been two day's scenes I have come to this world, I'm now in a cave I found in a forest when I escaped from the clan ruins.
    '' *sigh* I've been lucky that am not meet any monster under the time I've been here or I've been dead''
    Yeah, This world has monsters roaming around the world, I was surprised and scared of this at first but am okay now. it also seems that there are other races than human in this world. *sigh* I just laid back and began to sleep on the ice-cold rock floor in the cave.
    it's been two day's scenes I found this cave and I have started practice The way of Yin-Yang cultivation in that book I found beside me when I woke up in this world. Surprisingly In the book, I found out that the body I possess is the rare body of Yin and Yang that is only found in 1 out of 1 million people. But anyway that means that my body is many times stronger than a regular human and that means that I have a great affinity to holy, darkness and chaos element magic and the best thing is that I got a perfect cultivation manual for this kind of body... the way of the Yin and Yang. The manual also shows you how to use the ancient magic of the old, and you know that in every light novel is that ancient magic almost every time stronger than the modern magic.
    Well let's get started, I want to become stronger I don't like the feeling of being weak in this world. Thank god that I have at latest weapons and leather armor for protection.
    I think that it's been 1 years scene I've arrived in this world. It's been tough and many things have happened at this time.
    (OOC: I'm quite tired now for this took hours to do, but it was fun.
    But if you had read my guild card you should know that am being a half human and a half evil dragon and I got some skills. I Mabey gonna do a story of what happened under this one year but not now)
    But here am, in the adventurer main guild that is on the floating city of Aeternus. as I walk in, I looked around me and found it simple and lovely, many different races were chatting and having fun. After a minute I began to walk to a place that seems like a receptionist desk, but there was nobody there.
    As I looked around to find somebody that seemed like a receptionist I found a big pile of paper beside the desk. As took a closer look I found it to be registration paper for the guild.
    ''Well'' as a said that I took a paper for registration to fill in everything so that I can just submit it later. As I finished the paper, I noticed that a little girl with blond hair before me she looked hesitant but was getting closer and closer to me and looked over my registration paper and said. ''Welcome to the guild Kim-san'' and gifted me with an item box for carrying things and took my paper.
    ''Please head to the Tavern if there is any question Kim-san wants to ask, or if Kim-san just wants to talk to other people!
    Hikari hopes Kim-san has a nice stay over here!" (^^)/
    She said that then did a cute pose and ran away. later that day I found out that this girl was the receptionist.
    ((Razogul's Bizarre Adventure: Orichalcum is Unbreakable |Special SS: Shamal's Quest| LOL))
    <Aeternus Cty: Guild Tavern>
    Days have past since Presia and the others left Jin in the Rainforest Vale. She was waiting patiently for any news about Jin in the Guild Tavern.
    “Hello Presia.”
    Yoru greeted her once he entered the tavern.
    “Oh… hello.”
    Presia said with low energy as she looks to the entrance.
    “You seem troubled Presia, what’s wrong?”
    Razogul says this as he eats his meal.
    “That looks good.”
    Yoru picked up a piece of chicken from Razogul’s plate.
    “Hey...that’s my food you know!?”
    “I know. I didn’t said it was mine, lol.”
    “Luckily that piece was undercooked and I was going to throw it away.”
    “It’s fine~ I even eat raw food~ Kek.”
    “Pfft….”
    Presia seeing the two argue made her forget about her worries for a bit.
    “So! What’s the problem?”
    Yoru asked Presia.
    “Um…. You see-”
    Before Presia was about to explain, a tanned-skin man appeared. His body was covered with black colored snake tattoos. “So this is the Tavern? Oh? She’s here too.”
    “Oh!! You're here!”
    Presia eyes lit up when she finally see the guy alive.
    He slowly approached Presia. “Oi Presia, do you know any guys strong enough to withstand some--”
    “Shut up.”
    “Hmm..?” the guy tilt his head when he was interrupted as his eyes turn redder staring at Yoru. “Who are you?”
    “.... Um….. You asking me?”
    “Before anything happens, that’s Yoru’s ordinary personality. Anything we may help you with?”
    Razogul says this as he’s read several generic novels in his world.
    “I was talking with my slime.”
    “Is that so? My name is Shamal, hmm….”
    Shamal looks at Razogul as his black snakes moves in his body. “Your strong, well then may I ask you assistance in defeating a devil?”
    “Don’t ignore me!”
    Razogul finishes his tea quickly and looks at Shamal. “A devil? May I ask if we’re getting paid first?”
    “Hmm.. money huh? Quite troubling”
    Shamal hold his chin as he think. “What does a demon snake like me can give?”
    “I said don’t ignore me!”
    “Hmm....some of your venom?”
    Razogul says as he’s never obtained demon snake venom.
    “I don’t think it’s ideal since my blood is quite potent and they become living snakes when they leave my body.”
    “Well...how about some gold?”
    “Well…. About that….”
    “Damnable people.”
    “Yoru. We all know you’re here you know? Also, Shamal, I was just asking if we’re getting paid. Not that we won’t do it of course. A devil is quite dangerous after all.”
    Razogul says this as he knows he won’t get paid this time.
    “Don’t worry about it, I still have a backup plan.”
    Shamal shakes his head and move closer to Presia. “Me and Presia can deal with this. I just need to break the seal.”
    “Wait!!”
    Presia being scared about what was gonna happen, forcefully pushed him away.
    “Then, sorry for the bother.”
    Shamal nod at them as he attempts to grab Presia.
    Razogul says the next few words with a serious tone. “So...the name of this Devil and location. Tell me.”
    Shamal stopped in his tracks and secretly smirked. “Rainforest Vale, close to Serpent Dale and the devil is currently unknown”
    “I see...also…”
    Razogul disappears from his spot and appears in front of Shamal. He then stab his hand into Shamal’s body. Physically, no damage is seen but Shamal could felt his chest tightening.
    “Don’t test me...luckily I don’t deem you as a threat. I’m letting you off this once, but keep in mind if you do this again, there won’t be a second. Understood?”
    “Here we see, a riajuu acting cool.“
    “Why? Is there something wrong?”
    Shamal tilts his head as blood flows out at the corner of his mouth, dropping on the ground and turning into snakes. “I’m just taking Presia with me? He’s Jin’s follower right?”
    “Can I punch him?”
    “You can punch him if you want. I don’t want anybody to get threatened in my presence. That’s all.”
    Razogul shrugs and brings his hand out carefully.
    “Ah… it is okay, please don’t fight in the Tavern”
    Presia goes inbetween the two and look to Shamal a bit scared as she hold her collar. “Well, if I could at least help then...”
    Razogul sighs and looks to everybody. “So...who’s coming with us?”
    “Me!”
    “Well then, Jin will repay you guys after this”
    Shamal move away from Presia and look at Razogul.
    Razogul seeing this gathers dark energy at the entrance of tavern and creates a dark portal to their destination. “There, it’s done.”
    “Hey guys. Wha-”
    At the very second that the portal was created, Hubo, a poor hobo, while entering the tavern, accidentally got sucked inside the portal the moment it was stable, leaving nothing but the portal where he was once standing.
    “...Well, that was not expected.”
    Razogul says this as he thought no one would enter the tavern just then.
    “No shit..”
    “Is that guy one of you?”
    Shamal point to the portal, “I just hope he won’t touch the venomous sphere there”
    “...A venomous sphere. Well, I better go ahead and make sure he’s safe!”
    Razogul sprints to the portal and jumps in.
    “Wait… I’m going!!”
    Presia follows Razogul with her eyes of determination.
    “Hey Shamal. Face the portal and close your eyes.”
    Yoru said to him.
    “Hm? Why?”
    Shamal looks at the source of voice finally noticing Yoru.
    “Nothing much.”
    “.......”
    Shamal stared weirdly at Yoru since he don’t know him and only sees him as an ordinary human. “Oh well, if you insist.” Shamal faced the portal and closed his eyes.
    “Good!”
    Yoru moved back a little and ran towards him then jumped while shouting. “Lion... kick!”
    Shamal smirks, before dodging quickly, almost as if he saw that coming from his back...
    “Why’d you d-”
    Yoru, still in the kicking form, entered the portal.
    Laughing for a bit, Shamal eventually joined them.
    ---
    “Ugh..the hell?”
    Hubo lifted himself from the ground dusting himself off as he looked around.
    “Wait...this..Rainforest Vale?!”
    Razogul comes through the portal and lands near Hubo. “You alright Hubo?”
    Presia looks around searching for any trace of Jin. “Where’s master Vodka?”
    “Firstly, where the hell am I?!”
    Hubo shouted, confused.
    “-odge!”
    Yoru came flying out of the portal, kicking Hubo on the face.
    ”Gah!”
    Hubo fell down again. “The hell are you doing?!”
    “Oops. Haha~ my bad~”
    “My bad your shit!”
    Shamal enters as he look around. “Seems like we're a bit far, we need to walk for a bit.”
    “Anyone have anything to eat? I still didn’t have breakfast…”
    Yoru said while holding his rumbling stomach.
    “Mister Shamal, where is Master Vodka?”
    Presia looks worriedly to Shamal.
    “Andddd I got ignored again….”
    “Hmm… Now that I think about it, not giving payment for a request is rude.”
    Shamal hold his chin as he ponders and stared at them while walking, “I think, I got an idea… but not until Jin is saved from the devils. I need to see your abilities to see if the items fits you.”
    “Oh? Keep in mind it’s for everyone who joined you know?”
    Razogul says this as he keeps walking.
    “.... Everyone?”
    Shamal tilts his head looking at the other two. “Oh.. sorry didn’t notice them.”
    Yoru was being held back by Hubo while saying. “Let me punch this guy!”
    “......”
    Shamal just ignores Yoru as he continue walking.
    “Could we stop wasting time and hurry up!!”
    Presia say angrily as anxiety finally eating her up.
    “Okay, lead the way Shamal.”
    Razogul hurries Shamal so they can get this done and over with.
    “Okay… then let’s increase the pace.”
    Shamal proceeds to sprint towards the destination.
    <On the way to Jin>
    “Hurry up and get me out of this quicksand!” Yoru shouted while sinking in a quicksand.
    “........”
    Shamal stops running and then look to Presia, “Who’s this guy again?”
    “He’s mister Yoru...” Presia sighed.
    “Yoohoo! Sinking person here!”
    “This is why you watch your steps Yoru.”
    Razogul sighs at him not paying attention.
    “How the hell would I know that a quicksand is here! We’re not even in the desert, what the hell!”
    “Wait, I’ll help you.” Presia hold her whip and rotate it and throws it close to Yoru. “Catch the whip!”
    “I got it! Now pull me out!”
    Yoru grab the rope and hold tightly.
    “Ok… someone help me”
    Presia asks help to the other to pull Yoru.
    “Hmm, sure.”
    Razogul helps Presia in pulling Yoru out of the quicksand.
    Yoru eventually got out of the quicksand with the help of Presia and Razogul. “Whew… Thanks. Ahh…. I feel icky.”
    “Let’s continue then...” Shamal quickly rush.
    Moments later.
    “Fudging bees!”
    Yoru cursed while running all over the place.
    Hubo facepalmed from behind.
    “This going to be a long day…and again, why am I here?!”
    <Jin’s Location>
    “We’re here.” Shamal stops as he pointed out a large venomous sphere. From a closer look the sphere surface was composed of black snakes rotating around.
    “Finally!”
    Yoru sat on a rock, exhausted.
    “Master Vodka!!”
    Presia sensing Jin inside the sphere.
    Razogul stops Presia from going towards Jin. “There are snakes around that sphere...who knows how poisonous they are.”
    “But….”
    Presia was hesitating when Shamal approaches the sphere.
    “They are poisonous so that no lifeform will come near Jin. Once this is taken out, the probability of him killing anything he sees is high.”
    “Well, what could possibly go wrong? I mean, there’s plenty of us here you know?”
    “...Razogul. I don’t care how strong you are, please shut up.”
    “Well, in case there are problems we’ll deal with it when the time comes.”
    “But still, shut up.”
    “What should we do then?”
    “Let’s have a picnic. LOL.”
    “...What?”
    “If you’d ask me, I would be a few meters away in case the worst happens.”
    “..... Did you just said that you really wanna do a picnic?”
    “We just need to weaken the devil by using all it’s power to awaken Jin.”
    “So! In other words! Beat Jin into a pulp?”
    “What…!?”
    “I’ll leave that to Yoru, he should be strong enough? I’ll make us go to a different location so there’s no lasting damage here.”
    “What a great idea! I like it!”
    “Well your choice.”
    “...I somehow fear for him. You sure this is the best way?”
    “Yup...definitely the best way.”
    Razogul starts opening up a portal to Heavens Judgements dimension.
    “Why do I feel a slight malice there….”
    “I’ll move the sphere inside.”
    Shamal touch the ground near the sphere as he let out snakes from his body. The snakes starts to crawl underneath it and carry the sphere to the portal.
    “Hey Raz, you sure it’s safe inside?”
    “Of course. It should still be stable after my fight. Though if you see some mountains that have parts missing...well. Don’t mind it much.”
    “I’ll go ahead to watch Jin”
    Shamal walks toward the portal.
    “If you say so.”
    Yoru entered the portal.
    “Well, go on Presia. Not like there are any dangers over there.”
    “....ah yes”.
    Presia who was in daze wakens up and enters the portal.
    “Well Hubo, I’m going in, see you on the other side.” Razogul enters the portal.
    After watching the rest he sighs.
    “Alright, time for little old me...can’t be that bad, eh?”
    He enters the portal, which then closes as the last member of the party enters.
    <Heavens Judgements Dimension>
    “So...suitable enough place to fight?” Razogul says as he steps out of the portal.
    “Yes, there seems no living beings besides us”
    Shamal close his eyes trying to detect anyone.
    “The hell is this place?”
    Yoru asked Raz while looking at the half destroyed place.
    “Remember that tournament I was forced into? Yeah, this was the place it was held at. In short, some powerful madman killed anybody participating for sport. He tried killing me, that didn’t work.”
    “That sounds fun.” Said Yoru with a strange glint in his eyes.
    “That’s unforgivable.”
    Presia eyes filled of anger.
    “Nothing we can do about that.”
    Hubo sighed in lament. “Bigshots are all over the place, Gods number on more than ten sets of hands, and not everyone wants to use their abilities for better causes…what can we common people do?”
    “They should all just drop dead.”
    Presia eyes grow cold.
    “Unfortunately, that’s how the world works.”
    Hubo shrugs indifferently
    Razogul shrugs. “He killed people with little effort. If I remember correctly, there was one contestant that died instantly.”
    “Why do those type of guys exist?”
    “The flip side of free will. If it can be done, it will be done, nothing that we can stop completely, as long as free will exists.”
    You guys ready? so could I release Jin now?”
    Shamal waits for them.
    “Yeah, just go for it.”
    Yoru unsheathed the blood sword that was on his back and stabs it on the ground Strangely, it’s releasing a dark aura and its color has turned into pure black instead of a bloody red.
    “Just as I predicted. Since you kept feeding it my blood, this was bound to happen.”
    “This guy kept telling me to ask you. Welp, at least he’s stronger now.”
    Yoru explained the reason.
    “Anyway, go ahead and release him..”
    Razogul says this as he watches them get ready to fight.
    “Understood.”
    Shamal nods as he reaches to the ground making all the snakes from the sphere crawl back to his body.
    “Wait... why is he not moving?” Presia asks as she finally sees Jin in his full armor and weapon standing still unmoving.
    “Hmmm…”
    Hubo thinks for a bit. “We better be careful. It’s never good when someone seems that calm and composed...”
    “The flags~”
    “Hey, you just raised a flag you know?”
    “.....”
    “.....”
    “Let’s see….. Oh! Anyone have a rock?”
    “No need to ask.”
    Hubo deftly raised a rock from inside his rags, before suddenly realising something.
    “So...who wants to do the honours?”
    “Gimme!”
    Razogul stares silently at Yoru.
    Shamal stays silent and thought, ‘Are these guys serious?’
    Presia tilts her head puzzled. “.....”
    Hubo stares at him in slight stupification as well. “Well, I could have done it safely, but your choice.” He then passes the rock to him with a small toss.
    Yoru catched the rock that was as big as his fist. “.....Anything bigger?”
    Hubo stared even harder at him “...I might as well just give you a bomb..”
    “Sounds good!”
    “...YOU TOOK THAT SERIOUSLY?!”
    “So…. No bombs?”
    Razogul takes out some popcorn he made beforehand and hands some to Presia. “This will be entertaining.”
    “Ah…. thanks I guess.”
    Presia grabs the popcorn and eats it still confused.
    “...Fine, fine.”
    After a lengthy argument, Hubo sighed, giving in. “If anyone asks, just tell them that Shad is the producer...”
    “Great!”
    Yoru grabbed the bomb from Hubo’s hand. “How do I use this?”
    “Just throw it. Don’t worry, even if you don’t trust in Shad’s morals, you can trust in his handiwork…”
    “Okay!” Yoru took a stance. “Just throw it right?” He then threw the bomb at Jin in full force. Seconds later, it hits Jin armor, exploding and creating a loud boom.
    BOOM!
    “That…… Was awesome!”
    Yoru shouted. “I think that did it?”
    “Oi, you say I raise flags but look at you!”
    Razogul retorts at Yoru, completely ignorant of his hypocrisy.
    “The hell did I do?!”
    “...I literally have nothing to say to both of you tw- LOOK OUT!”
    “Hm?”
    Before the smoke and dust disappears, the armored Jin rushes swiftly as he charges forward with his shield aiming at Yoru.
    Yoru’s expression changed. When Jin was about to hit him, he dodges him by sidestepping to the left. “Slow.”
    Jin eyes glow redder as he start to rotate his axe towards Yoru.
    Yoru raised his great sword immediately, parrying Jin’s attack. “Weak too.” He then pushed the sword up, breaking Jin’s guard, and kicked him on the stomach while leaping backwards, creating a distance between them. “Is that all? Then this is gonna be boring.”
    Jins eyes lit up and he gathers all his strength to his axe and throws it towards Yoru creating a large wind.
    Yoru jumped to the side to avoid it. When the axe hit the ground, a large crater was made with a loud bang. “Hey Jin! Are you an idiot? The heck are you discarding your weapon in a fight? Anywho.” Yoru released a heavy bloodlust while smiling like a madman. “My turn.” Yoru rushed towards Jin while dragging the great sword.
    <Razogul, Hubo and Presia>
    “...Was this a good idea?” Hubo asked everyone else as he crossed his eyebrows.
    Razogul keeps munching popcorn. “Well, it’s a good show isn’t it?”
    “...I don’t even bother. Why aren’t you doing anything, anyways?”
    “Well, I just have a funny feeling you know? Like something else is going to happen.”
    Razoguls eyes turn serious at Hubos words.
    “......”
    Presia’s ears twitch as if she’s hearing something. She started to walk in daze towards the destroyed arena. “someone’s calling….”
    “Where is she heading?”
    Shamal look at Presia who was moving away, causing everyone else to notice as well.
    “Um...Presia, why are you going towards the arena?”
    Razogul asks concerned.
    “They are calling me, they are in pain”
    Presia keeps walking swaying.
    “...Who are they? Who is in pain?”
    At this point, everyone could clearly see that something was very, very off.
    “Well, there’s bound to be some things wrong due to how many deaths here. Hubo, I think we should make sure nothing bad happens.”
    Razogul leaves and follows Presia.
    “I’ll go and take a look as well...” Hubo leaves and silently follows her.
    Presia arrives at arena surrounded by spirits as she was weeping.
    “Er...you alright? What’s happening?”
    Hubo slowly stepped forward, a few metres away from her.
    “This is certainly...new.”
    Razogul is baffled at what’s happening. “Could it possibly be due to that person dying?”
    “Unforgivable…. Why do we have to die?”
    Presia tilts her head as blue flames starts to form in her tails.
    Something was very, very, very wrong.
    “This is bad...Hubo...I’m going to deal with this.”
    Razogul starts getting covered in dense dark energy, going into his full power. Space being distorted around him.
    “We? Alright, just calm down for a moment, and-”
    Presia screams loudly as she hold her head as the blue flames emerge in her surrounding. The vengeful spirits started to materialize around her and starts attacking Razogul and Hubo.
    “...Die.”
    Razogul starts destroying the incoming spirits going towards them. Dark hands coming out and piercing the vengeful spirits.
    Presia pointed her hands as she conjures blue fireballs towards them.
    “Gah!” Hubo deftly avoids the trajectory of the fireballs, yet barely does so he they grace by his side.. “Raz! Quickly end this before everything goes out of hand!”
    “I could end it all by using a dark ray, but Presia is in the middle of those souls. I’m also having trouble due to how many are here…”
    Razogul says this as a fireball hits him. However, he’s undamaged.
    Presia leaps above as she slams her flaming whip.
    Hubo rolls away as the strike lands besides him, creating a splash of flame as it meets with the ground.
    As Presia drops to the ground her eyes follows Hubo since he was the one moving.
    “Can you not just look at me?! Razogul!”
    Presia opens her mouth and screams at Hubo creating a hypersonic sound wave, coursing through the air in an instant.
    Thankfully,the moment Presia screamed, Razogul aimed his free hand and cast a barrier in front of Hubo and himself. ”Remind me to destroy this dimension!”
    <Yoru and Jin>
    “Hahaha! Take this!”
    Yoru slashed at Jin horizontally, hitting him on his body and sends him flying away.
    Jin slowly stood up as his armor started to break apart making him only wearing his pants. As if in daze, the light in his eyes flicker.
    “Annoying….”
    He starts to take his helmet off and throws it away as the [Flame Wings] appear on his back and his [Magic Tattoos] glowing. He then rushed to Yoru sending a fiery punch towards him.
    “Well now.”
    Yoru’s smile became even wider. He then morphed into his beast form and countered Jin by trying to slice him into half. “Hahaha!”
    Jin’s wings turned blue and swiftly block the attack as it solidify into an ice covering his body. He then opens his mouth as he exhale cold air, “[Chilling mist]”
    The air Jin breathe out freezes everything it touches.
    “Now this is getting interesting! You became a fudging refrigerator! Hahahaha! ‘Cool’ shit Jin!”
    While saying that, he was sneakily reading the text that appeared in his retina.
    [System: Passive skill [Ice resistance] acquired!]
    “A weird thing to say from a Salted Cat!”
    Jin unconsciously retorted as he grinned. His wings turn into a red one as the flames grow, “Prepared to be cook [Heat Wave].”
    [System: Passive skill [Fire resistance] acquired!]
    A throbbing vein was visible on Yoru’s forehead. “How many times do I have to tell you, ‘fireman’.” Slowly, he was walking towards Jin, not minding the heat one bit. “That I’m not a f*cking cat.” As he finishes his sentence, he activated [Thrill of the Hunt] and disappeared.
    Jin feels a threat as the [Magic Tattoo] on his right arm glow brighter activating the increase defense buff and a pile of hard solid lava surround it.
    A maniacally eerie laugh was heard from nowhere.
    “Hahahahaaaaa……”
    Following this, Jin suddenly groaned in pain. Behind him was Yoru and his great sword have been stabbed at his arm.
    “I could have killed you just now…. Hahahahahaha!!!!!!”
    “........”
    Jin grow silent as he close his eyes slowly as if sleeping. The [Magic Tattoo] glows as in his bleeding arm as it slowly close up and heals.
    A sudden strong gust of cold wind push back Yoru a few meter away.
    Large number of glacial spikes appears in the ground in all direction as it pierce anyone in it’s path. Yoru was caught by surprise because of the spikes appearing on the ground, he then move around trying to dodge the spikes but a sudden spike appeared in front of him. He jumped up to avoid it but still got hit on his left leg, making him fall to the ground. He then rolled away with the spike still stabbed at his leg to get distance.
    “Tch. At least my resistance is increasing.”
    He stood up with the help of his great sword. He then grab the spike on his leg and pulled it out, making the blood spurt out. Moments later, he felt a large change in temperature and atmosphere. He then looked at the living refrigerator to see what’s happening.
    The wings in Jin’s back grow cold as it turn to solid ice as it grow larger and larger. Finally encompassing Jin’s body, while a large cloud appears above Jin growing larger.
    Snow started to fall down as the temperature drops.
    “I could have drink a really cold coffee by now. Tch. I’ll ask him next time.”
    As the wings finally move as it opens as shows Jin. Four horns made of ice are attached to his head as ice tail moves to his back. He slowly opens his eyes which have turned blue filled with coldness as it stares lifelessly to Yoru. {JV/N: *listening to battle music the image fits*}
    Seeing the changes in Jin, he switched the great sword he was holding with the Kirai Saber and the Arm blades inside his item box. He attached the arm blade on his left arm and hold the sword with his right hand.
    “Let's start the real fight, shall we?”
    While releasing an overwhelming bloodlust, he threw his head back and roared.
    <Razogul, Hubo and Presia part>
    Presia opens her hand as her flaming tails slams the ground. The impact created a blue fire moving towards to the other side creating a large hexagram surrounding Razogul and Hubo who are inside the barrier.
    “So, Hubo. I’m going to destroy all of the souls surrounding Presia. Hopefully that’ll get her back to normal.”
    Razogul says this as countless hands made out of dark energy come out of his back.
    Blue flames surround Presia’s left hand as she rush towards them clawing the barrier.
    Seeing that all of the vengeful spirits patterns are the same, Razogul aims all of them in their paths. Killing them and slowly fading away.
    Razogul looks up and sees more spirits still coming and frowns. “Oh come on...how many do I have to kill till they’re all dead!?”
    Presia falls down her knees as she lost strength. She started to curl covering her face as she start sobbing. The flames in her tails still burning.
    “Hmm? Is it working?” Hubo watched Presia cower on the floor.
    Razogul looks towards Presia as well and frowns. “Hey, Hubo. Mind going over and see if she’s feeling better? I’m kind of busy!”
    “...Alright!”
    Not wasting more time, he hurriedly makes his way, coming right before the squirming form of Presia on the ground.
    “...Hey, you ok-”
    When Hubo is approaching her. Presia suddenly screams as she raise her head above, tears of blood was revealed in her face.
    “No! No! I don’t wanna experience it again! Stop it!”
    While saying this, she kneeled on her two knees while holding her head, crying. “I don’t want that to happen anymore! Stop!!!!”
    “Calm down, it’s-”
    Suddenly, she looked up, before her eyes and mouth suddenly glowed red.
    “-what?-”
    Before Hubo got to respond, a stray spirit sudden shot out from Presia’s face and rammed into him, and the next he saw was dark.
    ---
    “...ugh, that hit like a truck.”
    Hubo got up, realising what situation he was just in, quickly looking around.
    “...where am I? This kind- WAIT, DON’T TELL ME I’M DEAD ALREADY?”
    No response.
    “...Guess not?” He gets up quickly. “Anyway…”
    A sobbing sound was heard as a little cat girl was crying all alone.
    “Hmm?”
    The cat girl was in Hubo’s line of sights. “Kinda looks like Presia… what happened to us anyway?”
    He stepped closer to the cat girl. “Er...hello?”
    “ *sob sob* All of them are dead *sob* they all left me alone *sob* why am I the only one to live *sob*”
    Presia notice someone calling her and raise her head.
    “ *sob* Why does the world forsake me!?”
    Presia shouted as she looked to Hubo thinking he was a cruel god who make her life into a mess, “Why must you do this me!?”
    The little cat girl suddenly change shape as it grow into a large cat beast with flames covering almost all it body. It growled towards Hubo and swing it fiery claws towards him.
    “Holy hell!” Hubo dodge and ran away as fast as he can. “Presia! Is that you, Presia?!”
    Presia quickly slam her two flaming tails towards Hubo with eyes filled of hatred.
    “If that’s you Presia, stop what you’re doing!”
    Hubo yelled at Presia while dodging and blocking the tails.
    “I’ll kill you!! You have took them away from me! Now I’m all alone!”
    Presia shouted as she bare her fangs to bite Hubo.
    “I didn’t take anyone away from you?! Tch! Stop attacking me goddamn it!”
    Presia conjures blue fireballs above her as she rains it towards Hubo while roaring.
    “....SHIET!”
    Hubo runs away as he dodges the incoming fireballs.
    ----
    Suddenly Presia stop moving as a black mist disintegrates in her body as she return to her original nekomata form as she stay lifelessly staring at the sky.
    “...Well that was anticli- nah, let’s not tempt fate. Now that’s (hopefully) over with, you ok?”
    Hubo went closer to Presia seeing her back to her original form and noticing tears falling at the corner of her eyes.
    “Please don’t *sob sob* leave me…. I don’t want to be alone *sob* anymore *sob*.”
    Hubo gave a meaningful gaze.
    “Presia… you're no longer alone you know?”
    “I’m not…?”
    “Of course not! Don’t you have Shy Ra--, I mean Jin as your master”
    “...but isn’t he going to disappear too?”
    “What are you saying! That kid is harder to kill than a cockroach! Plus you can still meet a lot of people and make new friends”
    “My hands that is stained with blood, will they accept a monster like me as a friend?”
    “ *Cough cough* we have a lot of ‘monsters’ in the guild.”
    Hubo coughs a bit more at his lame joke. “As long you change for the better people will welcome you with open arms. The past doesn’t define us but our action will. Change for the better and make amend to your past mistakes.”
    “Change…. I want to change, I don’t want to be alone anymore”
    “Then try to make get know others and show your true self, make some bonds”
    “You're right… I can, Thanks”
    “Even the oversized cat is there for you too, y’know. Ya doing well already.”
    “Hahahaha~”
    A cracking sound was heard as the world crumbles, returning them back to where Raz is standing where all the spirits are gone.
    “You guys just passed out...what happened?”
    Razogul says this as he looks at the two.
    They suddenly notice an ominous aura and bloodthirst.
    The temperature drops low as the atmosphere turned cold and snow falls down.
    “It escalated to much, I need your help to stop them before anything goes wrong.”
    Shamal approaches them with a look of anxiety.
    <Devil Awakening: Jin and Yoru>
    Jin open his mouth and a cold air escapes from it.
    [Hmm.... seems like I have to use this vessel, Gnev will be angry but no matter.] He noticed a bloodlust aiming at him as he look to Yoru.
    He started to flutter his wings as he hover above ground to look down and tilt his head.
    Multiple Ice spear appears to his side as he raise his hand and pointed it Yoru making them fall towards him.
    Yoru rushed towards him while destroying the incoming spears, slashing it apart or deflecting it to the side. His left eye then glowed and he disappeared from Jin’s sight.
    "
    [Quite fast for a Beast]" Jin, no, the devil Stolz heighten his senses as he started to create an armor made of ice. He then fluttered his wings and create an a snow blizzard to his surrounding debuffing speed of anything and giving frostbite.
    [Level up!]
    Suddenly, A rope was tied on Stolz’s feet.
    “GET DOWN HERE!”
    Yoru roared and slammed him down to the ground, creating a large crater and a loud bang on impact.
    The large thick wings quickly wrap Stolz’s body before he hits the ground. The blizzard spell earlier also applies as his cushion, as the wind and snow lessen the impact. Thus, not damaging him at all. The wings crack but just keep regenerating as it absorb the mana in the surrounding.
    Stolz quickly kneeled with one knee, as he touch the ground, he applied ice magic making it into smooth frozen ice to make anyone slip on it. "[Just according to plan]" Just as he says this, Yoru was right in front of him and was about to stab him with a sword on his chest. Stolz quickly creates Ice spikes to his chest armor trying to injure Yoru and block the sword as it approaches him but it didn’t succeed because of Yoru’s inhumanely reaction speed. Just as Yoru was about to get hit on the chest with the ice spike, he blocked it by putting the sword in front of him. The ice spike bounced of the body part of the sword and using his left hand, he stab the arm blade on Jin’s stomach.
    “Didn’t expect that, no? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!”
    "
    [How arrogant for a mere beast, I Stolz applaud for your skill but...]" Stolz’s stomach bleeds but the ice cover it quickly and stopped the bleeding. The ice quickly move and spreads as it freezes the blade and move towards Yoru’s arm. The end of his wings quickly turned into sharped blades as it targets Yoru who is right in front of him.
    "[Can you escape this?]" Stolz grins as he trap Yoru in place. He aim his sharpen wings to stab Yoru in both sides.
    “[SAVAGERY]!”
    Yoru used a skill that increases his damage for a short while. Yoru can’t do anything to his left body so he let Jin stab his left side while he slashed on his right at the incoming wings which then got destroyed after he hits it. While coughing out blood, Yoru hugged Jin and did a suplex.
    Stolz body got slammed on the ground making him cough blood. A dangerous aura then suddenly emitted towards Yoru as Stolz’s blue eyes stared at him coldly as he grin, blood dropping on his lips. Yoru then cut half of his arm to get out of Jin’s hold and then leaped back to get a distance, taking this chance to drink a health potion to stop his wounds from bleeding. Yoru look at his cut off arm emotionlessly, that Stolz threw away when he stood up, and then look at him with a bloodthirsty smile on his face.
    [System: Passive skill [Regeneration] acquired!]
    “I’ll kill you…..”
    [System: Passive skill [Pain resistance] acquired!]
    Suddenly, Stolz protruded out Ice spikes all over his body, stabbing anything near him. He then groaned in dissatisfaction because of what just happened.
    "[Dammit this vessel is slowly waking up as my control is weakening. He’s still not completely ready.]" Stolz voice was full of disappointment. After stabilizing himself, he noticed that Yoru disappeared. Before he was about to do something, he was drag to the ground by Yoru with a sword stabbed on his chest. Yoru hit Stolz on the face with his elbow, stunning him for a bit, he then took this chance to stab Stolz on the neck but Stolz stopped him by blocking it with his wings. Yoru then stealthily plant something on Stolz’s wings before leaping back and disappearing again.
    [I would like you to stop damaging the vessel anymore.] Stolz then take his stand as he fly above high ground to search for Yoru. Suddenly, he saw that Yoru appeared 6 meters away from him while holding something. He then mocked him, trying to get Yoru closer again so he can kill him.
    [Coward, to just keep hiding and doing sneak attacks.] Stolz eyes followed to Yoru as he pointed his hand and create multiple ice spikes rotating around.
    “Hey. Since you read Jin’s memories, do you know what he says to a ‘Riajuu’?”
    Yoru asked a question, dumb enough to stupefy Stolz.
    [What gibberish are you spouting?]
    “This.”
    *BOOM!!*
    The wings on his back got destroyed in the explosion, resulting to him falling down at high speed because of the height. Since Stolz control to Jin was weakening, he has having hard time using his powers and when he hit the ground, a small crater was created because of the impact. Yoru watches this with a smile on his face and then slowly, he walk towards Stolz, planning how to kill him in the most gruesome way possible.
    Suddenly, an angry voice reverberated in the surrounding shaking the dimension. [DAMMIT!!! Unforgivable to harm the vessel that I been painstakingly waited for to acquire!!]
    Yoru then leaped back to make a distance again, thinking about how troublesome this will be, again.
    [Gnev… what are you tryi--] Before Stolz could continue, Jin’s body grew wings on the back but this time, it was a blazing fire. His entire body then got covered with fire.
    [GAAAAAAAHHHH!]
    Stolz made a bloodcurdling scream and moments later it stopped, following that was the fire extinguishing, revealing a body covered with solid lava that serves as an armor while looking like a humanoid dragon.
    [I Gnev, the Devil of Wrath shalt extinguish you from existance!!!]
    Gnev, that was Stolz before, possessing Jin’s body shouted as the snow melted turning everything and turning the atmosphere hot.
    Shamal looks at them in distance his face full of irritation, “At this rate, someone’s going to die. Better call that strong guy to stop them.” He then rushes towards the arena where Razogul, Hubo and Presia are.
    [Level up!]
    “Ahh….. I got to give it to you, this is very relaxing.”
    Yoru wears a satisfied smile on his face, truly enjoying the heat that Gnev was giving out. “You’ll make a nice a heater when it's cold, hm…. What’s that word…. Oh! Kotatsu.” Yoru grinned as he mocks Gnev.
    [What the hell is a kotatsu!? Enough with your nonsense!] , Gnev started to flutter his wings as he take a deep breath and opens his mouth, releasing a breath of fire towards Yoru.
    “Heh. Bird-brain.”
    Yoru run around to dodge the incoming fire breath. While running, he picked up his left arm that was cut off and put it inside the item box, he then wear the arm blades on his right arm and retracted the blades.
    [Stop running around you pest!!] Gnev quickly rush to Yoru as he swiftly flew after him and releasing multiple fireballs in his mouth.
    “......”
    Yoru dodges the incoming fire balls while still running. He took out a “Bola”, three metal balls attached with leather (See weapon in signature) and stealthily attaches mines to it, he then threw it at Gnev who was still chasing him.
    [Why the hell are you throwing balls at me!!!!!!] Gnev quickly covered his arms with molten lava as it grabs the Bola and just as he grabs it.
    [What the- ]
    BOOM!
    [ Dammit!! *cough cough* your tricks won’t work on me!! ]
    “Hoh?”
    Just as he says this, he saw Yoru right in front of him, smiling like a madman and was about to slice his neck off. Startled, he hurriedly opened his mouth to do a fire breath when.
    “Jeez...I leave for a few minutes and you’re about to kill each other!? Thankfully I just got finished cleaning up the spirits, otherwise you’d both be severely injured!”
    Razogul instantly appears in the middle of Yoru and Jin. Using his hands to stop each of their attacks.
    “F*ck you! Let me kill him!” Yoru cursed as he struggled to get out of Raz’s grip.
    [Shut up!! You pest!! Let me burn you to a crisp!!] Gnev shouted as he tried to take Razogul’s hands away from his mouth.
    “F*cking fireman!”
    [You oversized Cat!]
    “F*ck you! Unhand me this instance Riajuugul!”
    [Go to hell! No..! I’ll make you experience hell!]
    “To hell with you!”
    [I live in hell so that doesn’t make sense!?]
    “The hell are you talking about?!”
    “Know what, that’s it…”
    Razogul gets tired of their arguing and punches them each in the chest, sending them flying.
    “Kahak!” Thankfully, Razogul held back so Yoru just visited his ancestors in hell.
    [Argh!] Jins body flew towards the mountain and created a large crater on impact. Slowly the flames dissipates and the armor breaks as the devil’s power slowly disappears.
    “Didn’t want to do that, but they needed to get some sense beaten into them. Time to go and get them back.”
    Razogul teleports to each of them and brings them back to where they were fighting at previously.
    “Hmm…. the devil is finally gone, I will heal him.”
    Shamal arrives and look towards Jin as he carry him and he move towards an unknown kid.
    “Are you two done now?”
    Razogul says this with a deep tone.
    “The hell did you punched me?!”
    Razogul looks towards Yoru and sighs. “Stopping the fight. You were going to kill each other you know?”
    “I just saw my *cough cough* *coughs blood* ancestors! Wtf?!”
    “I held back you know? Besides...you’re both alive at least? Although you’re missing an arm.”
    “That’s not *coughs blood* the point! *cough cough*”
    Yoru retorted then sighed. “Anyway, ahh….. My ribs is broken….” He then took out his arm inside the item box and gave it to Razogul. “Attach this.”
    Razogul takes Yorus severed arm and places it on where it was detached. Using his dark energy, he attaches it to his arm. “There, should be alright now. Try moving it around and such. Need me to heal you as well?”
    “.........You idiot. You attached my arm backwards.”
    “Yeah, it was on purpose.”
    Razogul sees Yoru’s glare and shrugs. “Okay, okay, I’ll attach it back to normal.” Razogul does the process again, attaching it correctly.
    “I hate you.”
    “The feelings mutual.”
    Yoru then moved his arm around to check if there’s anything wrong.
    “It’s good.”
    “So… we're going back now?”
    Shamal appears next to them. Followed by a kid who has a large flower-monster attached on it back which seems to be chewing something.
    “Okay. What. The hell. Is that?”
    “...I don’t know either.”
    Razogul says this as he stares blankly it.
    “What are you guys talking about?”
    Shamal tilts his head.
    “Well...it’s nothing. Not like anything could possibly get worse you know?”
    Just as he says this, the dimension started to tremble and a dimensional rift started to open right in front of them.
    “...That’s not my fault.”
    Razogul says this as he cries on the inside.
    “I don’t care anymore……”
    “........” Shamal looks silently feeling a bit complicated.
    Suddenly the large flower-monster attached to the child beside shamal whose name is Iris, spits out something before it slowly enters his back and he falls to sleep.
    “...My head hurts, what happened?”
    a childs voice was heard behind Razogul and Yoru. The child's appearance was similar to Jins with his distinguishing blond hair.
    “I guess the regression went wayyyy too far back.” Shamal observes Jin as he holds Iris to his arm who was sleeping soundly.
    “.....I wonder how far I can kick him?”
    “Wait… who are you gonna kick Raijuukitty and when did you get taller?”
    “Everyone!!” Presia runs toward them waving her hand smiling widely.
    “...sigh to leave us to walk” Hubo walks as he followed Presia
    “Presia…? Why are your tails burning, are they---”
    “Master Vodka! I’m glad you're okay~” Presia hug Jin tightly as she rub her cheeks. “Wait!? Why did you turn too small? But your soul is still the same? But you look too adorable!!”
    “Wait stop, gahh!! Help help! Presia is gonna hug me to death!”
    “Why is Jin small? Also Presia...calm down for a second.” Razogul says this as he ponders at what happened.
    “Oooooohhh… That’s harsh….”
    “Is no one helping me here? Ahh the grip too strong! Presia when do you become amazon...” Jin tried to struggle but can’t escape.
    “Okay, okay Presia. Let go of him.”
    Razogul pulls off Presia from Jin.
    “Muu… but the cuddles~”
    “You can hug me if you want!”
    “I’m tempted to put a curse that makes you impotent.”
    “It was just a hug!”
    “I let Iris turn his body back in time to heal the severe injuries. But it seems it regressed too much. Oh well, as long as he healed it’s fine, I guess?”
    “Oi! Oi! What do mean it’s fine!? What do you mean I turned into kid!? Wait I am a kid!? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?”
    “Anyway! What do we do about that?” Yoru pointed at the dimensional rift that was getting bigger.
    “Why is it getting bigger? Also...I got a bad feeling.”
    Razogul says this as he starts backing up.
    “We should get ou-” A head was now poking out of the rift in front of them. “Yep. Goddamnit Raz!”
    “Is that a human!? Wait...this does not look good.” Razogul starts seeing more of them start coming with the rift widening even more.
    “Just hurry up and make a portal!” Yoru grab Razogul’s shoulder starts to shake him violently.
    “Just to make sure, we’re heading to the desert first! In case they track our portal!” Razogul starts gathering dark energy to make the portal. After gathering enough, he makes one behind them.
    “Run into the portal!”
    As he says this, a beam of holy energy grazes Raz and burns. “That hurts!”
    “No shit.” Yoru says this as a hole was visible at his arm while running to the portal, regenerating.
    “Okay!” Presia quickly grabs Jin in her shoulder as she runs to the portal with Shamal following her.
    “WAIT!! I can walk!” Jin tried to struggle in vain.
    “Before we leave...I’m destroying this dimension.” Razogul starts amassing collosal amounts of dark energy into his hands. Cracking the earth underneath him. He smiles evilly and keeps amassing it, making it more powerful. After gathering enough, Razogul aims it at the sky.
    “Another ‘cool’ line incoming!”
    “What cool line!?” Razogul retorts and just fires the beam, breaking the earth underneath him. As soon as the beam continues further, it hits something, cracking it slowly. “There! Let’s go!”
    He looks one last time and sees one of the summoned heroes he was with before. Frowning, he jumps into the portal.
    “You could have fired it after we get inside you idiot!” Yoru shouted while looking at the fissure that Razogul’s beam made and jumped inside the portal to safety.
    As soon as the rest of them jumped through the portal, a few dozen people appear from the dimensional rift. All of them looking at the dark portal that just disappeared. “Was that the reject?” A guy said as he smirks.
    “Yup...wait, what did he do before he left?” They look above and see the sky cracking. “Oh...that sneaky son of a-” As soon as he says this, it starts rapidly cracking. “Run back into the rift!” They start jumping back into the rift and it closes behind them. The dimension soon destroyed afterwards.
    <<Somewhere in the desert>>
    “Finally, we're done… But I never think that would escalated that much”
    Shamal face-palmed as he sighed from the long event.
    “Anyway, since the situation has turned to more than expected. Guess I’m not the only one to give reward right~?”
    Shamal tilted his head towards Jin and Presia as his expression look grim. ‘Who’s fault do you it is~?’
    “I’m very sorry...” Presia face downward as she look sullen and her ears and tail drops down.
    “ *cough bloods* I know, geez I already have an idea” Jin look away feeling guilty.
    “Let me kick you Jin.”
    “Wait! you kick kids?” Presia look at Yoru shocked.
    “I do, if it was a grown man before.”
    “I’m not a kid!! Wait... I turned into one” Jin falls in his knees devastated.
    “But Jin’s body is small! He might die!!”
    Presia shielded Jin from Yoru
    “ *cough blood* please stop, Presia you're not helping”
    Jin’s pride as a man is broken.
    “Wait a minute.” Yoru morphed into a human again. “Now he’ll survive.”
    “Well, at least we’re out of that situation. So...where’s my reward. Also, don’t mind about those people...also, we’re in the desert haha.”
    Razogul says this as he lays down on the sand.
    “The one who bring the trouble first” Shamal squint his eye toward Jin.
    “It wasn’t me?”
    “.....not you?” Shamal looks away, trying to stop himself from retorting.
    “In the end, everything turned out fine. Also, we’re completely safe now. Just hand the rewards quickly.” Razogul says this as he thinks of the events that occurred.
    “Anyway, the rewards.” Yoru turned serious and stopped messing around.
    <Jin Vodka’s Reward>
    “Anyway my reward will be a coupon for party quest. In full detail, I will join your quest without any compensation and act as support” Jin then create a magic contract as he open his pseudo-grimoire.
    [Jin’s Party Coupon] - now you can have a Shota Mage in one party quest you take.
    - This mage knows many magic so his pretty useful
    - With his high holy attribute he could be a best support (he need to study it).
    - You can pick any followers from his roster to come with you.
    - Will give all the rewards and gold without hesitation.
    - One time use only.
    “Well, if you can also used it to ask for my help in something. As long as it’s within my abilities.”
    Jin with his face looking tired make the coupon fly right in-front Hubo, Yoru and Razogul.
    Yoru looked at Jin with disdain. “Useless.”
    Razogul blankly looks at the coupon and sighs. “Well, it’s still a reward. Also, those people were...acquaintances you could say.”
    “Oh my~ acquaintances? Are they that dangerous”
    Razogul looks at them blankly. “Well, the status that Yoru had should’ve detected at least one of them. Maybe you could ask it?” Shrugging as he says this since he’s left them a long time ago.
    “It said that they were otherworldly heroes earlier. LOL.”
    “Huh, not enough time to get a status? Oh well, I expected better.”
    “...I’m getting sleepy”
    Jin rubs his eyes.
    <Presia’s Reward>
    “I don’t know what to give...”
    Presia solemnly looks down troubled.
    “I think I have an idea”
    Shamal walk towards Presia and lean to her as he whispers something to her ear.
    “Ehhh!!! But that is…..”
    Presia covers her cheek while blushing. “Ughh… ok I understand.”
    Presia hesitated as she fiddle with her hair. She then rush to Yoru and hold her hand nervously.
    “I still hated you for what you did, but it is also my fault for being too emotional. So, why don’t we let it bygones and call it quits since you help save Jin.”
    Presia lightly give a kiss to Yoru’s cheeks as she run but turned around and bowed. “I hope we could at least be friends since we both are beast-kin related to felines”
    Following that a system announcement appeared on Yoru’s head.
    [System: Presia’s enmity to Yoru is now zero, friendzone route is now opened!]
    ‘Meh. I don’t even like you but I guess this is fine.’ Yoru thought to himself.
    She then move to Razogul and give a light kiss on his cheeks before bowing, “Thanks for saving me from going berserk. I am truly grateful, Next time, I’ll be sure to control my powers and be able to repay this debt”
    [System: Presia’s admiration to Razogul is high, veneration route is opened!]
    She bowed to Hubo and lightly kiss his cheeks and giggles before she bowed, “The beard tickles, Thank you for also saving me and for your words”
    [System: Presia’s respect to Hubo has increased!]
    “Just gave a little advice.” Hubo shrugged, completely unfazed. As expected of the old man...
    Presia then rush behind Jin and hide behind his back as she cover her face to his hair.
    “........” Shamal stood emotionlessly as his body start shaking, “Pfft…. Ahahaha, I didn't know she would actually do it. Hey~ how about me? hahaha”
    “.......!!”
    Presia glared to Shamal and hiss while still hiding behind Jin.
    “It’s my first time seeing Shamal laugh that hard.” Jin said shocked but still low energy to retort, “Anyway, rumors said that a kiss from a Dancer give blessings so I guess it’s good?”
    “Presia...you do realize you could’ve refused right?”
    “I just wasted my time. It was fun tho.”
    “It was fine it was just the cheeks anyway… pfft” Shamal look away laughing.
    <Shamal’s Reward>
    “Haa….. Let’s go to my home, so I can show the rewards that I can give. Decided whether to accept it or not”
    Shamal then look to Jin, “Well you do the honors, since you're the only one who now the location”
    “Okay then...” Jin start to float as he create a magic circle to their feet. “Well, this is quite different to a portal since it’s quite similar to summoning circle~ It’s just like your soul being sucked~”
    …..Shamal’s home
    They arrive on a desolate land, only a small house made of stone was noticeable.
    “Ok where come inside my home”
    Shamal lead them inside as he let them sit and give them a tea to drink. “Wait here I’ll get the items.”
    “Another useless reward I presume?”
    Yoru says this while quietly sitting and sipping tea.
    “....I hope not” Presia tilt her head as she sees Jin dozzing off while sitting.
    “I’m back… I don’t know if anything here is to your liking but just take what you like”
    “Well, at least we’re not being tracked due to several teleportations.” Razogul sips some of the tea he got.
    “Hm?” Yoru got curious about where Shamal was taking Razogul but shrugged it away immediately. “Anyway, I’m going to take a serpent stone too if he had any of it left."
    “Well… that guy have lot of those. Wait I know where it is” Jin hearing that woke up and walk slowly to the cabinet taking 5 Serpent Stones and putting it to the table.
    “Good.
    -------
    Shamal takes Razogul behind his house as he take a sealing stone to show an invisible barrier breaking apart.
    “It’s good but the venom sac is gone...would be a good minion however. It’s fully intact correct?”
    “Yup in good condition since the bones are pretty strong since it almost at dragon state. Besides we killed it through my blood as I let it devour me” Shamal remembers his experience.
    “Hmm, let’s get Yoru to see what it’s status was before. Maybe he could tell how powerful it is.” He says this, not expecting much.
    At this moment, Yoru appeared beside him. “Nothing else is shown besides the name and how old it is.”
    [System: The remains of a Heaven-Defying Imoogi (1,578 years old)]
    “Well, I’ll take it I guess. Could be a good pet.” Razogul starts pouring in dark energy into the skeleton. “Raise Undead.” As he says this, green flames appear in the eyes of the skull. But as soon as they appear, they blow out.
    “...Strange. Usually that works.”
    Razogul looks at it even more and shrugs.
    “I’ll take it with me and continue experimenting on it. Maybe it requires a certain way to do it.”
    “Go into your full form and try it again.”
    Razogul goes into his fully powered form after hearing Yorus suggestion and tries again while exerting a more powerful energy. “Raise Undead.” Green flames start appearing in it’s eyes once again. It looks in Yorus direction and glares at him.
    “Well...he likes you. Go up next to it.”
    Yoru walked in front of the snake and glared back at it. “What do you want? Wanna die?”
    After Yoru says this, the snake attempts to bite at Yoru and misses due to him dodging. Razogul starts laughing after it happened. “It’s bad to intimidate something that’s heaven-defying you know?”
    “I don’t care.” Yoru leaped back at the side of Razogul.
    “Could be worse. I could modify it with a plague that makes undead when people die.”
    “Nice idea.”
    “Hmm…. Interesting” Shamal observe the Imoogi seeing a fragment of it’s former self.
    “Hey Shamal. Do you know any dangerous creatures here?
    “What do you want? Demi-snakes or snake monsters?”
    “The stronger the better.”
    “A strong one huh… hmm. Oh I remember a seeing male Naga who wields two spears and looks pretty strong. Guess, it is the strongest one I see in this parts.”
    “Naga?”
    “I can ask Jin to draw one as I describe it to him”
    “Hm…. I guess that’s fine. Also, what’s the ring for?”
    “The ring is a strange object I pick up through a temple. So I have nothing to know about it, beside something about purification and renewal”
    “I’m just gonna ask someone to identify it.”
    “Are you guys done?” Jin walk towards them yawning.
    “I guess… well are you guys hungry? I can cook some snake cuisine”
    “I’m good, I’m leaving first.” Razogul says this as he makes a dark portal to the tavern. Putting the imoogi into his storage ring before he goes in.
    “Well I’m not starving so… Thanks Shamal! I will bother you sometime!” Jin enters quickly to the dark portal as he pulled Presia hands.
    “Well no one's taking this so...” Presia grab the Adder stone before she got drag to enter the portal.
    “Hmm…” Hubo cusps his chin as he looks at the snake wine. “I don’t really need anything, but this doesn’t seem bad...I’ll just take this, I guess, didn’t really do much though, hope you don’t mind.” Saying that he grabs the bottles and waves his other hand as he leaves the portal as well.
    “It’s fine... I make those for a hobby, so how about you?”
    Shamal looks towards the last person Yoru.
    “I took the serpent stones and the ring. Anyway, expect me to come here in the future.” Yoru entered the portal, contemplating the events
    that happened today and then thought to himself.
    ‘What’s done is done.’
    (YN: Another good line.)
    -------
    After the last person that was in the party entered the portal, Shamal was left by himself again in his island. Shamal sat on a chair and closed his eyes as the black snakes appears on his body covering him while he sleeps.
    Hikari doesn't understand it!!! It's been two weeks now, and Hikari still doesn't understand it!!! >.<
    What happened to Hikari? Why is Hikari still alive!? Why is Hikari still so hungry!? Hikari doesn't want to eat this much! It makes Hikari look like a glutton and-
    "Hikari!!!!"
    Yukari-sama suddenly hugged Hikari
    "Wha-wha-what!? Yu-Yukari-sama!? Whe-where did Yuka-"
    Yukari-sama simply pointed at a rift right next to Hikari...
    "Eto... Isn't it... Won't it scary people if Yukari-sama creates a gap in the middle of Aeternus' streets?"
    "No worries! Ran is making an illusion that stops people from seeing us!"
    Yukari-sama was rubbing her cheeks with Hikari... Hikari didn't know how to react! Is it okay for Hikari to stay like that with Yukari-sama!?
    "Yu-Yukari-sama!? I-is it really okay to-to to use Ran-sama's power like... That...?"
    "Eeeeeeh!? What are you talking about? Ran is okay with it! Ran definitely wouldn't spare efforts if it meant making things comfortable for you silly!!!"
    Yukari-sama is hugging tightly... It's...
    "More importantly~"
    "Yukari-sama... Hikari can't... Breath..."
    "Oh, sorry"
    *loosens hug* "Heehee, I was just a bit too happy~"
    "Yukari-sama was... Happy?"
    "Of course I am! You're alive! Alive! We need to celebrate! Celebrate you being alive and your ascension as well! Come on, I gathered everyone for a party already! Sorry for taking this long, but convincing the rest of the pantheon was a real bother!"
    "Un-uhn... Wah!!!"
    Hikari was suddenly pulled by Yukari-sama! >.<
    "Come on Come on!"
    "Yu-Yukari-sama!!"
    Yukari-sama entered the gap and Hikari went in together with her... We were... Back at Yukari-sama's house? But...
    "Yukari-sama... Where is everyone?"
    ...
    "Yukari-sama?"
    "Raaaaaaaaaan!!!!!"
    Ran-sama came out of the house and saw us, she heaved a sigh and then smiled.
    "You called, Yukari-sama?"
    "Where is everyone!? I made sure to call them all here!"
    "Oh... Maybe Yukari-sama should see it herself."
    Ran-sama gave a few letters to Yukari-sama... Yukari-sama opened one and... Another, and another... Is Yukari-sama trembling? Is... Is everything alright?
    Hikari approached Yukari-sama a bit and looked over her shoulder to see the letter on her hands.
    -ya complete idiot if ya think that ya have the time to throw a party when the girl just ascended! Go do yer job properly and only send a letter to mah house again when she-
    "Aaaaaaaaah!!! Those idiots! We could worry about all that later!!! It's time to celebrate! Celebrate! They should've come to a party instead of saying this kind of thing!!!!"
    Yukari-sama started tearing the letters up and throwing them around... Hikari doesn't think it's nice to do that though... But the letter seemed quite mean, Hikari isn't sure what to think on it... Hmmmm
    "Eto... Yukari-sama?"
    "Oh... Ah... Sorry Hikari, it seems they had some unusual circumstances and couldn't come, we'll have to party with just the 3 of us then! No worries, it will be pretty fun!"
    "Yukari-sama!"
    "It's okay, we still have enough time for a party at the very least, the worst is already gone Ran... It's definitely going to be alright now..."
    "But she-"
    "Ran. She needs to relax a bit... Just a bit."
    "Yukari-sama... What is ascension?"
    *tilts head*
    Ran-sama and Yukari-sama both turned towards Hikari and looked with a confused face... Hikari is the confused one though? What are they talking about in front of Hikari...?
    "What do you... Mean what...? You ascended, I was watching from right behind you..."
    "I could sense it as well... Hikari, you definitely ascended back then?"
    "When... What? What happened to Hikari?"
    "You really don't... Oh dear, perhaps it's better to cancel the party indeed... I didn't expect it to be an involuntary ascension... Probably a doing of the other one then... Quite the feat she pulled off, it's not something reasy to do... Well, not like normal ascension is easy in the first place, but still..."
    "Other... One?"
    *tilts head* "Could Yukari-sama explain it to Hikari? Hikari isn't quite understanding it..."
    "Of course... Ran, could you prepare the tea? We'll be talking inside... Come on in Hikari... This might be a bit of a long talk..."
    "Right away, take your time Yukari-sama."
    Ran-sama bowed and moved in on quick steps.
    Hikari followed Yukari-sama inside... Hikari was confused... Why was Yukari-sama looking so... Troubled? It doesn't look like Yukari-sama... Hikari didn't want to see Yukari-sama like that...
    Yukari-sama sat down on a chair in front of a table, she gestured for Hikari to sit across her, which Hikari did.
    *stomach rumbles*
    "Ah... Uhn... Sorry Yukari-sama, Hi-Hikari is-"
    "No, don't mention it... Rather, I know you've been quite hungry recently, so it's no worry. Here."
    Yukari-sama opened a gap and a plate of cookies came from it... Sometimes Hikari things Yukari-sama is a bit too whimsical with how she uses her gaps... The cookies are just on the next room after all! Hikari still remembers where they're stored! >.<
    Hikari still started eating anyway.
    "Well... Unto the topic at hand... Congratulations Hikari, you're a goddess now!"
    Hikari choked on the cookies and started coughing.
    "Ah, don't get surprised like that!"
    >.<
    "There you go~"
    "Eh? The cookie on Hikari's throat... Is gone?"
    "I just made a gap on your throat and made it go to the trash can."
    "Tha-that is scary Yukari-sama! What if it hit a wrong part of Hikari!?"
    >.<
    "Don't worry about it, I wouldn't miss a gap like that! At least not on you, okay?
    ... Do-don't give me this skeptical look! Even I can be serious at times!!!"
    *forces some coughs and puts hand on front of the mouth* "As I was saying, congratulations on becoming a goddess!"
    "Yu... Yukari-sama... This is... A joke, right?"
    "Nope! It's what we were talking about when we said 'ascension', it means you ascended from the mortal realm into the realm of deities!"
    "But Hikari doesn't... Feel like a goddess at all..."
    Yukari-sama patted Hikari's head... It felt a bit... Calming...
    "Silly, do you think you'd feel super different just because the nature of your very being changed?
    ... Okay, it does look like you would change, but... Well, it is almost the same in the end.
    Besides, you did feel something different happening to you, right?"
    "Oh, Hikari did! Hikari felt... Something along the lines of... Something... One became two and two became four... Hikari didn't quite understand it at all... Was that it?"
    *nod nod* "That was probably the doing of the other you." Hikari flinched... Hikari didn't want to remember it... "Sorry, those must be bad memories... I guess a good thing about losing them is that you forget the bad ones as well... Eventually, we all get new bad memories though..." Yukari-sama looked at Hikari with a really saddened face... Hikari wonders what happened to Yukari-sama... "In any case, please bear with them for now... Since you need to understand your origin if we are to figure what you are now."
    "What Hikari... Is? But didn't Yukari-sama say that Hikari is a goddess?"
    *tilts head*
    "Yes, but goddess of what?"
    Hikari looked blankly at Yukari-sama. "Exactly... Your hunger is probably related to that by the way, not knowing what you are means you can't gather energy, you're trying to supply it with food, but it isn't quite working, is it?" Hikari shaked her head.
    "Anyway, what happened was directly on my domain, so I could watch it directly... Still, I don't know what exactly triggered your ascension... I can assure you one thing though, you lost my blessing on that moment."
    "Yukari-sama's... Blessing?"
    *tilts head*
    ...
    Yukari-sama looked at Hikari with a frozen face... "Yukari-sama...?"
    Yukari-sama hit the palm of her hand on her face. "Yu-Yukari-sama!"
    Yukari-sama started laughing... Eh? "I can't believe I forgot to tell you about the blessing... I really shouldn't have left everything for Ran..." Yukari-sama doesn't seem to be laughing out of happiness... It seems... Mocking? "Haaaa... Alright... Well, suffice to say you had my blessing since before you were born, it was something that helped you grow and all and... Basically, it gave you a small seed of my powers, and they grew according to how much you had grown. You kept this blessing even after the loss of memories."
    "Then... Hikari had always been... Protected by Yukari-sama?"
    "Well, you didn't need me much, your mother was usually more than enough... And it's not like I can interfere directly as well... At any rate, I'm sure your blessing disappeared when you ascended, and that's not simply because you became a goddess, since other deities can be blessed without a problem... So... There might be something with that."
    "Uhum... But what then? How does that help in knowing what... What Hikari is?"
    *stomach rumbles* *goes back to eating the cookies*
    "Think like this, the only one that can truly understand your body, is yourself. I could do it before because I knew literally everything about you, or at least of your body, but you changed on the moment I lost my contact with you... I can only tell you what I saw and felt, but not what happened to you... You need to figure it out yourself."
    "But... But Hikari doesn't know it!
    Hikari doesn't... Know anything... Hikari didn't even know Hikari's past was still alive within Hikari... How can Hikari know what happened to Hikari if Hikari doens't understand a thing about herself!?"
    *sighs* "First... Calm down.
    Secondly... Do you really think anyone knows much about themselves?"
    Hikari looked at Yukari-sama confusedly... Just what is-
    "Honestly... People are just too confusing, understanding your own feelings for example, that is one thing that takes ages to happen, and when you finally think you grasped it, it all changes again... People are strange, nobody is really sure about themselves..."
    Yukari-sama's looks were really melancholic...
    "Just... Try to use what you know, it doesn't hurt to try, does it."
    "Try... Uhn... Eto... Hikari had something... It became two... Two things became four... And Hikari lost Yukari-sama's blessing... And that all happened when... When Hikari's past merged with Hikari...
    It doesn't... It doesn't make sense? Hikari doesn't see how to fit it all."
    "Isn't there anything else? Keep thinking about it, there ought to be something we can use."
    "Eto... Ah! It... It all became one in the end! It merged and grew! Hikari remembers feeling like that!"
    "You shouldn't forget this kind of thing you idiot!"
    *smacks her head* "Really, how can you forget something like that? It is important!"
    "Hikari doesn't know... It just didn't register on Hikari's head..."
    "Oh well, at least we can start from that. We can pretty much assume that my blessing was somehow involved in it... But still, I didn't feel like your blessing had multiplied somehow... If it merged with something and then grew into something else, it would explain the blessing disappearing... But your feeling doesn't quite match with that..."
    *tilts head* "It doesn't? It could fit, couldn't it?"
    "... How would it fit if your blessing didn't multiply and merge with itself!? I definitely didn't feel any of that happening to it!"
    "No no... One thing from Hikari became two... And two things became four... And then it all merged... So there were 3 things involved on the process, weren't there? The one that became two, and the two that became four... The 6 overall merged and-
    Yukari-sama!?"
    Yukari-sama hit her face with her palm, it made quite the loud noise! Wh-why did Yukari-sama-
    "You're telling me... That after the one became two... Those two things weren't the ones that became four? There were other two things that did...?"
    "... Ah! Yes! Hikari meant exactly that! That's what Hikari felt!"
    *smacks Hikari's head* "Be more clear about it next time!!!!"
    "Sowwy..."
    *sighs* "Seriously... I thought we were grasping at straws here, but we already have pretty much everything."
    "We... Do?"
    *tilts head*
    "Well, yeah, it's not that hard to get everything if you have some knowledge on how the process works... Though it varies on a case by case basis and... Anyway.
    If things merged and doubled, that means they were similar in nature, and were all intrinsic to you... It all happened when the past you got into you, so... We can assume the doubling was actually what your past self had, it just got back to you at that moment."
    "But... Wouldn't Hikari's blessing and Hikari's past's blessing be... Shared?"
    "Generally? Yes. But no.
    Your other self developed it's own soul, when that happened, it became a new being altogether... But it was still you at the same time, so when it was born, everything that was yours became hers as well. This led to there being 2 of my blessings."
    "Hikari is confused... But... This basically means that there is only one thing e know though...?"
    *stomach rumbles again* *looks at the empty plate of cookies*
    *sighs* *opens a gap and brings more cookies and 2 cups of hot tea* "Not really, no. I was still at a loss because I couldn't think of anything that matched the idea of going to two and then to four, but if it were just two doubles it's pretty simple...
    Just think of it... What are 3 things that you have... No, you had, and that were only yours, and weren't attached to your physical body."
    "Eto...
    ..."
    "There aren't many things that aren't based on your body, you know, even the Holy Energy was flowing within your body..."
    "Ah... Then... Yukari-sama's blessing... And... And... And Remilia-sama's blessing!"
    *nod nod* "There you go, you have the two that became four, now what did you have only one of?"
    "... Hikari doesn't... Know?"
    "It's something you were about to lose when it happened... And something that was lost for your sake."
    "Ah... The soul..."
    "Right, so there you have it. Your soul, and your two blessings, merged together with the soul and blessings of your other self. Three things you should only have one of each, suddenly became two each... They probably merged to try and go back to the status quo, since there were supposed to be only one in the first place... And well, when things are merging, a bit of tweaking is all you need to make it merge with something else... It's probably what your other self did."
    "Hikari sees... So... That was what made Hikari ascend? The merge of Hikari's blessings and soul?"
    "If you think on it, it's understandable... It's not common for a mortal to have a divine blessing, and 2 souls is definitely not what one should have either... Then you suddenly merge 4 things filled with divine energy to the brim and 2 souls on top of it as well, the excessive divine energy probably overloaded and ended up resonating with the new soul, making it a divine one... Probably."
    "Eto... Hikari doesn't think it's something very... Safe?"
    *laughs* "It's not! That girl was reckless to the very end, it was more likely for your soul to explode than anything! Seriously, what's up with that, I think she just threw herself in without thinking even once about the consequences of it!"
    "Eeeeeh!? Hi-Hikari al-almost exploded!?"
    "Almost almost~
    No use worrying about that though, you're alive and kicking! That's plenty!"
    "Hikari isn't kicking anyone though?"
    *tilts head*
    "Ah, right, you didn't have the time to learn those expressions... You're alive and well, that's what it means, being healthy enough to kick someone means you're good.
    Anyway, we got the cause of it, it's a start... So, what do you think you're the goddess of?"
    "Ah! Right, that was what Yukari-sama wanted to get at! Hikari had forgotten!"
    Hikari hit her fist on the palm of her hand, Yukari-sama just sighed though... "Uhn... Goddess of... Merging?"
    "Nah, that's not it! Merging things was the means through which you became a goddess, it's something else! Something that caused you to become a goddess! Something intrinsic to you!"
    "Intrinsic to Hikari...?
    ... Hikari doesn't know... What is it Yukari-sama...?"
    "How do you expect me to know? I was there, but I wasn't the one that went through it, how do you expect me to understand how it felt to you? Or how it changed you? It's something only you can understand... I can make some theories, but it would probably only lead you astray. It's better if you find it yourself."
    "Hmmm... Intrinsic to Hikari... And that caused Hikari to become a goddess...
    ... A sacrifice? It's all Hikari can think of..."
    Yukari-sama blankly stared at Hikari for a moment, then she regained her composure. "Sacrifice... It might be possible... I was thinking along the lines of kindness or recklessness, but that's mainly my own judgement of you... Or rather, of the past you...
    Sacrifice however... It surprisingly fits... You really did sacrifice yourself for others more times than I can count in the past... Even after losing your memories you kept on doing that, the thing with Fenrir and the one on the medical tent...
    Seriously girl!? Sacrifices! Of all things!? Such a troublesome concept..."
    *sighs* "Well, let's test it."
    "Test!?"
    "Well, yeah? We need to know if that's what you are or not, we won't be sure if we don't do anything... Let's see, something small... Oh, right."
    Yukari-sama got a small cookie from the table. "I sacrifice this cookie to the goddess of sacrifices, Hikari, may she grant me her boon."
    Yukari-sama dropped the cookie towards the table and... Hikari felt a really strange sensation, like something was trying to push itself towards Hikari, but Hikari could still decide if it would enter or not...
    Hikari let it in, and the cookie disappeared.
    "Ah!?"
    "Good job, you got the right one! Congratulations on ascending into the goddess of sacrifices!"
    "Bu-but... What about the boon thing? Yukari-sama asked for a boon, Hikari doesn't know what to give!"
    >.<
    "Eh? Don't worry about it, I already received it."
    "... Eh?"
    "Yep, I'm filling pretty full already, you essentially satiated my hunger in exchange for receiving the cookie as sacrifice."
    "... But... Hikari didn't do anything...? An-and and what happened to the cookie!?"
    "The cookie? It was converted directly into divine energy, it's what happens to most things you offer to gods actually.
    As for you not doing anything... It's... Sort of an automatic system you could say? If you receive an offering, you give a boon back, that's how things usually work. The bigger the offering, the bigger the boon... But well, it would be too troublesome to simply think of boons for each and every offering you receive, wouldn't it? Some gods receive millions of offerings per day after all.
    So, your body naturally reacts and converts the divine energy received into something appropriate to the situation at hand."
    "That seems... Really... Practical?"
    "It is! Being a deity has its perks after all!
    You need to control it somewhat though... For now you'll probably have to do it consciously, but you should get the hang of it with time.
    Like... What I receive was way too much for a single cookie, that's not how you should do it... Do you know what went wrong?"
    "Wrong...? Hikari has... No idea..."
    "Well, are you still hungry?"
    *stomach rumbles* "Uhn... Yes..."
    "Then why am I the one getting all the benefit from the offered cookie if you're the one that had it given to you in the first place?"
    "Ah! Then Hikari should... Keep a part of it...?"
    "Not a part, keep most of it! It's your cookie after all! You can share a small bit as thanks, but it's mostly yours! Don't go giving the whole of it to others!"
    "E-eh!? Bu-but every time Hikari asked a god for a boon, they all made some really incredible things!!!"
    >.<
    "And that's because you have no idea how much Holy Energy you offered them in the first place, the conversion between Holy Energy and Divine Energy is a ton of times better than going from matter to Divine Energy.
    If you could fill me with a single cookie, you can just imagine how much you'd be able to do with all that Holy Energy you had offered them."
    "That... Seems like a lot..."
    "It was a lot!!!"
    "Right, so... Hikari needs to receive sacrifices to fill her hunger? But... It doesn't seem too hard, Yukari-sama just gave a cookie to Hikari as sacrifice and that was enough... Why did Yukari-sama say it was a troublesome concept?"
    "For 2 reasons.
    The first, it's that it's not a self-sustaining energy. I'm a gap goddess, I can generate Divine Energy by just staying within gaps, just like how Yuuka is a flower goddess and she can get Divine Energy by being surrounded by flowers, or how Ran can get it by staying constantly near or within illusions... You though? Unless you can find a place filled with sacrifices near it, you can't really generate your own Divine Energy... And even then, those sacrifices would probably disappear with time, or they might've been for some other being, which would cause you trouble if you tried stealing them...
    The second... Well, you saw how sacrifices can be quite generic, right? A cookie can also be a sacrifice if you wish it as such... It's a good thing because you can get power from pretty much anything. The downside is... Not everyone understand that... You need to get power from someone, or rather, from lots of people. You can make do with sacrifices from friends or family, but asking them to deliver them to you all the time would definitely trouble them, and you... And it wouldn't be enough to fill you either... It's not as simple to fill the need for Divine Energy, as it is to simply fill an empty tummy.
    So... You'll need followers, you'll need to actively seek people to venerate you. Which is already enough trouble by itself, since people usually already venerate a god of their own, so you'll have to earn their faith, and this might get you the anger from other deities and... Well, it's a hassle by itself, but that's not the main problem... The problem is how followers react to you.
    A goddess of sacrifices? That's usually seem as an evil deity by most people, so they'll generally be wary of you... And even if you can convince them to accept you, it's not uncommon for those things to escalate... Like... Them sacrificing their own kin for you and the sort... I think you wouldn't want that... Not to say that this would probably brand you as an evil goddess for anyone that is not from their culture, which would make it even harder for you to get followers, specially after those that sacrificed their kin were gone.
    So... In other words... It will be one heck of a problem to manage things, you follow?"
    "Eh... Ah..."
    "Sorry, I exaggerated a bit... Too much info, right?"
    Hikari nodded. "Well... It's something you will need to worry about, and rather, something you should go after as soon as possible, since you'll just grow weaker the more time you spend without receiving sacrifices... Just... Try to be clear, make some guidelines of sorts... Don't let people misjudge you alright?"
    "Hikari... Hikari will try..."
    "Good! I think we're done for the day... Try thinking it over, and see what you can do. I still wanted to throw a party, but I guess you'd better use that time to rest and to think of a way to get followers."
    "Yukari-sama... Hikari doesn't think... Hikari doesn't think she can get followers by herself... Can't... Can't Yukari-sama help Hikari? Please..."
    Followers? How is Hikari supposed to get that? Hikari can't even take care of herself...
    Yukari-sama made a sad smile and... Shook her head. "I can't. Not only do I have no idea on how to get followers in the first place, but anything that I do to help you, would just come out as my own achievement... The prayers would go to me, not you.
    I'm sorry... I can't help you with this Hikari."
    "Hi... Hikari..."
    *shakes head* "No, Hikari shouldn't ask that! No need to worry Yukari-sama! Hikari will do her best! Hikari will have plenty of followers in no time!"
    Yukari-sama raised from her seat and hugged Hikari. "You know... You don't need to put a tough front for me... I may not be as close to you as your mom was... Is...? I don't know... But I... I did watch you from the very start, you know? I can read at least this much..."
    Ah... Hikari was... Seen through...
    Hikari meekly hugged Yukari-sama back...
    "Yukari-sama..."
    *sobs*
    "There there, it's okay... I'll be here for you, I'll help with what I can, alright?"
    Hikari nodded. "Good... Ran is also here, as are the other people that you got close to, as is your family... You can rely on everyone, even if they can't do things for you, okay? Keep that in mind..."
    Hikari just nodded again... And... Kept like that for a bit... At least for now...
    After a while though, Yukari-sama separated from Hikari.
    "Well... I think it's about time you go home? It's getting late after all."
    "Ah, it... Is?"
    Hikari looked outside and the sun had moved quite a bit... "Eh!? So late!"
    *giggles* "Talking sometimes takes quite a while after all... Well, do you need anything else before I send you back?"
    "Hmmm... Ah! If... If Hikari's power are sacrifices... How can Hikari use her own power... It's not like Hikari can sacrifice something for herself after all..."
    "Oh, that's actually easy, you just need to sacrifice your own divine energy to get the outcome you want. I recommend practicing at your home with really small amounts until you get used to it."
    "Eh? Just that? But but... What can Hikari do with it then?"
    "Hmmmmm... Anything you want?
    Don't look at me with that kind of face, I'm serious... The more troublesome a power is, the stronger it usually gets. Yours is the same, not self-sustaining, has a hard time getting followers, has a hard time keeping followers, but... Is really generic, as long as you have enough Divine Energy for it, you can do pretty much anything."
    "Um... Uhm! Hikari will try to understand it better!"
    "That's the spirit, well, we'll still be seeing each other again, so... Laters?"
    "Laters!"
    Yukari-sama smiled and opened a gap on Hikari's side Hikari got out of the chair and waved to Yukari-sama before entering it.
    "Ah! Ra-Ran-sama! Please give Hikari's thanks to Ran-sama as well!"
    Hikari yelled before the gap closed, Hikari hoped Yukari-sama had heard it...
    Hikari was back in Aeternus, near the teleport gates... Hikari should go back home then... Goddess of sacrifices... Maybe Hikari should pray to Remilia-sama tonight... Perhaps fate would be able to help Hikari through this...
    Well, this is the actual closure of the Sick Hikari Arc and now starts her time as a goddess! Hmmm... I kinda have a lot of things that I have wanted to say, but I forgot most of them as I wrote through this entire (by entire, I mean the whole thing from the moment she lost her memories until now) thing... I guess I'll just compile the things I ended up thinking of, but couldn't put on paper, and other similar stuff... Should be useful to clarify things at the very least... Hopefully... :sweating_profusely::sweating_profusely::sweating_profusely:
    1. I don't know if I passed the feeling properly on why Hikari is so hurt over the "death" of the Past Hikari... Well, the thing is, she was prepared to die, she didn't want to, but she had accepted it, she thought she was going alone, and didn't want anyone else to be hurt for her... But in the end, she survived, and the very soul of her other self was simply gone... She didn't simply kill her past self, but erased her very existence... And well, it was all her fault, since it could've been avoided if she didn't try to forcefully come back to the world of the living, so it left a strong mark on her.
    2. Near the start of the SS, Hikari was confused about Yukari's blessing, but she did hear about the blessing from the past Hikari... The reason she was confusing is because the event was shocking for her, so the memories of what happened there prior to the ascension event aren't really clear on her head... She basically only remembers the moment of the merge clearly, everything else is a big blur. It's also why she had troubles remembering that after one became 2, and 2 became 4, everything merged together into one.
    3. I'm not sure how clear I was on how I'm portraying deities, but I'm putting them as beings that can't really interfere with our world directly... Sure, they can live on it if they want, but they can't interfere on the worldly matters or with mortals on their whims, so Hikari is now kinda unable to participate on raids, and what she can do in quests is quite limited as well... She can still take quests though! Don't worry, I didn't abandon the poor people that need the upper party quests for A-rank requirements! >.< (even if there isn't anyone really near it right now... *whistles*)
    4. For anybody wondering, the reason I kept on using bad to read colors on the Past Hikari's talks, was because I wanted to give a feeling of "fading"... That's why it was a really light color, I slowly transitioned that to a more pink color because she was getting a bit more identity as time passed, with the last one being the default Pink of RGB... Hmm... For some reason I doubt anyone caught the idea behind it... Oh well.
    5. A fun fact, is that this was probably the "arc" that I planned the most for... Most of my writing is really made on whims, I rarely plan anything. At most I have some very generic ideas, which are... Also the bulk of what made this arc, but I had lot of ideas... Like, Hikari getting sick was not planned, but... From that point on, I planned her getting worse whenever she casted a spell, I planned her casting 3 spells on the raid, I planned the "when" of each ss I made according to how much time had passed IRL between them, and I also planned that she would end up with something permanent when she finally got better... I wasn't sure on the "what", but I was sure it would be something permanent... Making her a goddess was the something I decided some time later, but didn't take too long to be decided either.
    6. Another fun fact, is that I only decided what would she be the goddess of, when I finished writing my last SS... Honestly, by the time I was writing that, I wasn't even sure on the "how" she would become a goddess... I was quite afraid it would feel too forced, specially because I didn't have any idea for it... I think the outcome was decent at least though, it could've been a lot worse for sure.
    7. If anyone thinks the size is too big, blame @Razogul for it!
      Nah, not really, I thought I'd kinda need to explain how a deity's power work, and that would take a lot of words, but it was actually not what made the bulk of the text... Rather, it was quite small on that regard... And well, it's only 4487 words! It's not that big! >.<
    8. Kiddos to @AmIaCat for noticing my plan of making Hikari a goddess since some ages ago, I honestly didn't expect anyone to get it... I wonder if I was too obvious or if he is good at seeing through people's plans... Well, he thought Hikari would die and reincarnate though, which is... Close to what happened, but not quite.
    9. A big thanks to Mama for helping me out with a few of my ideas and for checking if some of them were feasible or not! I kinda wanted to write part of the things as collabs tbh, but at the same time I really wanted her sickness to get worse by following the passage of time IRL, so I ended up opting against it due to the time it could take to make them together... This honestly bothered me quite a bit.
    10. Hmmmm... What else... I guess I should learn to stop multi-tasking while I write, it kinda makes me lose focus... Hikari's thoughts are supposed to fill my writings, but if I keep on checking alerts while I write, I end up not being able to portray them, and what happens are those huge sequences filled with only dialogue... Which I like writing, but I like writing with Hikari's thoughts in-between more... I'll try working on that in the future! >.<
    11. Oh, and just a fun tidbit... Back when I was in middle/highschool, my teachers always told us to first write the text, and then choose the title later based on what we wrote... I always considered that as quite unnecessary and simply wrote the title on the spot, which were usually pretty generic ones... Funnily enough, I naturally switched to stop naming my "chapters" while I write, and started naming at the end... Mainly because I was having problems thinking of names, but after a while I just decided it went better like this... The title of all "chapters" on my drafts is always "Lalala" btw.
      Also, on the matter of titles, those somewhat long titles with a bit of a strange phrase at the start... In all honesty, most of them came quite naturally, the last ones were made with me actually trying to keep at that pattern, but the first ones all came naturally... The title of this one broke the pattern on purpose as well, since it's starting a new part of Hikari's life and all! \(^^)/
    I guess that's it! For some reason or the other, I thought of making a bigger section of notes this time... Probably because it's a sort of closure, I did something similar back when Hikari met Yukari for the first time.
    Oh well, see you all on the tavern! ^^)/
    OOC: I'm quoting this quest since it contains important changes and power-up of Jin Vodka. Since I wanted to deal with the devils possessing Jin. I decided to write it together with my quest report for the location and testing of power through the monsters to be slayed.
    • The reason Jin is fine when possessed by the Devils of Sin is because of his high holy attribute. The idea of devils possessing Jin was taken from exorcism and a good example of this is Blue Exorcist. I concluded that devils like to possess pure souls or maybe those with high holy attribute that can withstand their power as long as they aren't protected by a God. The first possession is during child childhood at 10 years old shown in my backstory:
    • This is also explained by the Devil of Pride(Stolz), I'm gonna use their alias cause is sound cool hehe. But the Devils of Sin are OP as told by Baltz, so Jin might go insane and explode. With the idea of world restriction or law of the universe, I made the Devils only lend a fragment of their power: [Rank B: 1%][Rank A: 5%][Rank S: 10%]. When Jin was fighting in my previous SS it was only around 0.1% to 0.9% because of the compatibility issue.
    • This is fixed by Stolz who made Jin into a part demon lord using the demon king's blood laying dormant inside his body. The two devils can now more easily manifest themselves inside Jin since there are similarities between the medium and themselves.
    • He was only part demon lord due to his high holy mana that blocks the spread. This also helps to maintain Jin's humanity and memories. Because if he become full demon lord, he have to die as a human and be reborn as a demon. And I prefer to keep his memory intact but maybe fragmented...
    • The demon king's blood is shown in my Childhood backstory which was given by Noshiro (a demon in guise of Crusader). I was originally planning to use his blood as a safety net if Jin ever die, it is shown in my prologue~
    • Fun fact: Noshiro is an original character from 7 years ago that I created from the story telling: me and my sister made during high school. He is a demon king and the OP MC of the story. He just visited Jin's world while traveling around LOL.
    Noshiro and some of his allies in half chibi form
    [IMG]
    • When Jin is possessed, his attitude will change a bit depending on the devil. This is shown in the quest and my previous SS where Jin battled with Raijuukitty and a glimpse with Wunder fight SS. The more Jin uses the power, the more the attitude of the devils manifest in himself.
    • Since he's still Rank C, this will have a great drawback and Jin's mental state is unstable especially with the Devil of Wrath(Gnev). So I plan for Jin to train his high holy attribute to balance the devils' power. Time to find a God for Jin to believe with~
    RACE: Half demon lord and Half human with holy mana infused blood.
    - This will result for higher defense and regeneration power.
    - With the half demon lord race, Jin now will devour the souls of his kills to increase his powers or heal his wounds.
    POWER-UP: Devil's Blessing or Possession
    [Devil of Blaze: Gnev(Wrath)]
    devil possession Gnev.png [Appearance when possessed by Gnev at 0.5%]
    Triggers when emotion of wrath is high of Jin or the surrounding (eg: the people or souls)
    Increase magic focusing on Fire and some earth. High strength and agility.
    Current usage unstable since it is Wrath so berserk is high likely to happened.
    ((The shirt will be burned due to the flame wings, so Jin need to make a fire enchant shirt that the wings can go pass through.))
    [Devil of Frost: Stolz(Pride)]
    [IMG] [Appearance when possessed by Stolz at 0.5%]
    Triggers when emotion of pride is high of Jin or the surrounding (eg: the people or souls)
    Increase magic focusing on ice and some air. High defense and wisdom.
    Current usage is stable due to the contract with the Devil of Pride, so Jin will mainly used this.
    OOC: I would like to give thanks to @Balthazzar for helping me clarify about the devils power and how to prepare Jin's upgrades~ Thank you very much :blobsalute:
    And tagging @AmIaCat for the collab I guess?:blobowoevil:
    Well, some stuff is going pretty well I guess.
    Except the fact that I turned into a child or the fact that unknown… *cough cough* I mean Iris is a quite troubling me. Since, no matter how hard I try to understand him, I just can’t.
    Additionally, I can’t even tell him to return me to normal because he seems to not understand human words or perhaps he didn't want to. No matter having a young body seems fine since my new race is adjusting well to it.
    Let’s change the topic instead, and talk about the Askian Hamlet, yes it was a hamlet, not a village. Since they only have less than 100 population plus the fact they are nomads. The Askian Kobolds was only composed of 10 old Kobolds, 16 adults, and 14 younglings so totally 40. Their livelihood focuses on hunting and gathering wild food in the environment when I meet them.
    They were traveling Kobolds searching for a peaceful home away from the continuous fight. Well, I wanted to ask where they came from but I’m afraid I could trigger some bad memories. But the elder Schnauzer didn’t mind and told me troubles. Seems like from somewhere and got lost. They were failed with fear during the war that happened to their home. They lost all their strong men and fighters. That’s why only few adult has survived when they escaped.
    Schauzer face was filled with grief remembering the past. But he smiled with relief because they found me who give them hope.
    Hearing that made me blush and smile promising them I would do my best. I kneeled on my one knee and give the oath to protect them no matter.
    So they are more willing to follow me a strong adventurer who save them. They are very trusting and gullible Kobolds. Well, that might be the reason why they got taken advantage by those Bandit Kobold's group. Luckily, I'm the one who saves them. Because I'm the type of person who is honest and hates injustice more doing. In short, a goody two shorts.
    Right now, I’m acting as their Guardian since I did save them and my sense of responsibility is triggered. What does a guardian do? Just making sure they are safe from any threats and maintaining the peace. Like a guard dog, wait…...
    Anyway, I would like to clarify that I don’t own this settlement and has no plan to manage it.
    What do you think a dense former knight and musclehead part-time mercenary can do? I don’t want to think about complicated stuff due to the wars that I have been through. Just let my brain rest, plus the amount of gold to spend *shivers*. Well, I can donate some of my loot and gold though.
    So let's go back to the event were Schnauzer the Askian Elder and Kayla the Frontier Chief meet each other to discuss the relocation.
    .........Negotiations of Askian Kobold Elder Schnauzer and Frontier Kobold Chief Kayla [Continuation of Day 1]
    As we arrived at the frontier, we were welcomed by the demi-humans and humans residents with open arms. The elders started to talk formalities and introduce each other.
    The place where we are taken for discussion is the Frontier Chief House. Kayla the Frontier Chief and Schnauser the Askian is having a discussion on the relocation of their people.
    Kayla who is the wife of the veteran Adventurer Gabriel helps guide the village. To Gabriel, she has that rough and rowdy personality. This is because she wants to appear strong for him.
    Their son, Gobko, acts like the champion of the city. Well, he is the strongest, after all.
    There are also 4 of Gabriel's powerful Boss-like Minions watching over the town. They include the Hobgoblin, Greater Orc, Boar Warrior, and Lizardman Captain.
    They are the silent and often missed Gatekeepers of the town. Well, most of Gabriel's Minions and creations are. I think that is the best part, though.
    But back to Kayla. To others, she is a responsible and respectable person. But hurt her family, she will go mad. And with how the Frontier Village raises all the children together, the entire village is almost like one big family to her.
    ----Back to the negotiation
    Elder Schnauzer was intimidated his voice has grown weak together with the other elders when meeting Kayla. They don’t have any capable alpha male in their pack. So end of up glancing towards me for help. Well as for me, I was enjoying seeing different demi-humans while not noticing the humans.
    But it seems Kayla’s group has no alpha male so there is no tension much.
    Schnauzer explained that they were only humble nomads hunter-gatherers Kobolds and called their group Askians. They have been traveling around in search of a new home away from chaotic wars.
    Which Kayla gladly accepted and hold Schnauzer hand shaking it strong. Kayla laugh loudly when she know another kobold will join their family.
    The frontier is more welcome to help in creating the houses for the Kobolds. Since the population of the Askian is only about 40. We only need to build about 10 houses for each family.
    Kyala guided us to a place beside the Frontier where we can build the house. The place was treeless steppes and was pretty near to the river so water source is already solved.
    The 10 male adults Kobolds and I started to make the houses. Kayla and the fellow demi-humans residents of the Frontier started to help and told us how to do it.
    For the houses, Schaunzer wanted a simple Yurt.
    Complete construction takes around 2 hours for each Yurt. But since, we have the manpower. We can divide the people to make each home as the Askian guides in making the Yurt.
    Traditional yurts consist of an expanding wooden circular frame carrying a felt cover from the animals they hunted. Seems like the Askian Kobolds already have the waterproofed, and anti-mound treated Wall and Roof Canvas from their old place. So we only need cut some old trees in the forest for timber that are flexible and strong.
    The structure comprises an angled assembly or latticework of pieces of wood or bamboo for walls, a door frame, ribs (poles, rafters), and a wheel (crown, compression ring) possibly steam-bent. The roof structure is often self-supporting, but large yurts may have interior posts supporting the crown used by the Elder of the tribe. The top of the wall of self-supporting yurts is prevented from spreading by means of a tension band which opposes the force of the roof ribs.
    The frame consists of one or more expanding lattice wall-sections, a door-frame, bent roof poles and a crown. Four columns were made to support the crown and straight roof poles. The (self-supporting) wood frame is covered with pieces of felt. Then it is covered with the Canvas they already have. The frame is held together with one or more ropes or ribbons. The structure is kept under compression by the weight of the covers, sometimes supplemented by a heavy weight hung from the center of the roof. They vary with different sizes and relative weight for each house.
    We take a break for during lunch as the female Kobolds together with the neighbors bring us some food and water.
    Finally, as the sun sets, we have already done the Yurts and glad that the Askians Kobold has a place to sleep and a new home.
    .........Livelihood of Askian Hamlet [Current Status Today]
    I did my usual exercise every early morning and jog around the Askian Hamlet.
    When the sun finally rises as I did about 10 km runs. I saw the Kobold farmers starting their days in taking care the fields. They slowly notice me as they wave their hands.
    “Master Vodka! Early as usual as see” one the farmers shouted.
    “Sup! How is your day guys?” I smiled and run toward them.
    “Doing great! The vegetables are are very healthy.”
    “We’re planting wheat today! The Chief Kayla gladly shared us some of their seeds”
    “Nice! I guess I will help you~”
    I took off my sweaty shirt as I put my Item Box and to help plow the land. Seeing the Askians Kobold getting along with their neighbors made me happy.
    “Wait master Vodka it is fine.”
    “That’s right! Just continue your training as usual.”
    The Kobolds are a bit careful to reject me. Since I turned to a child they are worried that I would have a hard time with my strength. They always try their best to protect me and stop me from pushing myself when I try to help them.
    “Don’t mind~ I glad to give help plus this is also training! Training!”
    I smiled while giving thumbs up. I took a hoe from the cart of the farmers to dig the soil. They made a fuss being a worried but can’t reject due to my enthusiasm.
    I lightly hold a hoe and raise it above my head. My eyes suddenly glimmers to red
    *BAAM!!*
    The ground shakes as a loud hole appears on the ground. The handle of the hoe breaks apart almost as it hitting my face.
    “Master Vodka! Are you alright!?”
    “What a powerful strength!?”
    “Even though he became a child”
    I scratch my head seeing the damage in the land. I felt anger swelling inside me, Flame wings and 4 horns emerge scaring the Kobolds.
    “Dammit, seems like I can’t control my strength. Very well, very well~”
    I crack my shoulder and neck as I move to the land with my eyes burning like fire. “I’ll just use earth magic then!”
    I pointed my hands to the hole I created a close it up by moving the soil. Then I created large magma claws in my hands and plow using it while shouting, “DIE! DIE! DIE!”
    The Kobolds try to stop me but they couldn't. Since Gnev’s possession increases my strength and speed plus my half demon lord race. No one will able to stop me, especially since I was blinded by rage.
    I stop and wipe the dirt off my face as I finish plowing the land. “Ah that feels good~”
    Finally, Gnev's possession disappears since my mood is getting better.
    “Hahaha! Job well done!” I laugh happily at seeing my accomplishment.
    In the future, they didn’t know but due to my action. The field was bountiful and the harvest was great as the plants are large and healthy. It seems due to the granite rock dust that my magma claw has left at the impact of the soil which acts as a fertilizer.
    “Master VODKA!”
    *BAAM*
    Suddenly I felt something hit my head with great force but it didn’t have much effect. Maybe it is due to the transformation of half demon lord which made my skin stronger.
    I look behind and see Presia holding her hand in pain. “Oh, are you alright Presia!”
    She looks at me with anger as I quickly attended her hand and send some minor heal spells.
    “Master Vodka, you should control your rage! I know you wanted to help but you shouldn't overdo it.” Presia lectured me.
    “I understand.”
    I nodded and smiled as I try to heal her hand.
    “I noticed your mood is becoming unstable! You should calm yourself. It will be bad if you lost control!”
    “I know~ I know~”
    “And stop smiling like that! You…..”
    Presia grew angry as she started pinching my cheeks.
    “Umm… pre--cia plwease staph.”
    I said still smiling.
    “Muuuu!!”
    Presia puffs her cheeks as she sits and looks to the Kobold farmers planting the seeds.
    I also look them enjoying the relaxing scene. I look at my pseudo-grimoire and started to count the total population and their job discussed by the elders before.
    10 old Kobolds: 3 male and 7 female around 20-30 years old.
    - Schnauzer is helped by the other 2 old Kobolds in managing the Askian Hamlet.
    - The 7 grandmas help in taking care of the younglings.
    16 adult Kobolds: 10 male and 6 female around 10-19 years old.
    - 6 farmers (4 male and 2 female)
    - 3 herders (2 male and 1 female)
    - 2 gatherers (1 male and 1 female)
    - 2 male hunters
    - 1 male woodcutter
    - 2 female tailors
    8 teen Kobolds: 3 male and 5 female around 6-9 years old.
    - 2 male which Bernard and Lavri: Bernard helps the hunters while the Lavri helps the herders. Another male which also helps in hunting.
    - 4 female which Sanie helps the gatherers in getting wild edible food together 2 female kobolds. The other 2 helps on tailoring.
    7 child Kobolds: 4 male and 3 female around 1-5 years old.
    - Additional 1 was given birth and a prospect of coming children in the future due to the safety of their new lives. All 7 children are being taught by Presia and Flyx in writing, reading, and math. Sometimes the other teen and adult Kobolds will join the class to also learn.
    ----
    I think about the first time I try to change their ways of livelihood.
    The Askian Nomads are originally hunters-gatherers their lives depend mostly on hunting and gathering wild food. They have been chase away from their usual hunting ground due to war. From what I heard by Elder Schnauzer. Not only that, they lost their alpha male and most of their warriors.
    When they were in Great Plains, they were glad of the abundance of food so they settle there. Sadly they were found by hostile Kobolds who have taken advantage of their lack of fighting the power. Anyway, back to the topic, Since the Askians are now living near the Frontier competition is high. So they can’t stay just hunting and gathering food. They need to find a new source of way to gather food.
    Luckily they are more willing to accept my suggestions. For some reason… Why are they too trusting and adaptable *table flip*. Maybe that the reason they took advantage by the hostile Kobolds and so forth. Since they have no alpha male and proper leader. They could only agree to me since I look trustworthy I guess. They seem to be seeking for a person to depend and to lead them. Which the elder Schaunzer decided that it was me Orz.
    ----
    “Hmm… I’m going master Vodka~ I need to start teaching the kids how to read and write.”
    Presia stand up as she pats away the dust on her back.
    “Well~ I’ll come with you and maybe help in teaching since I’m taking a break~”
    I stood up and take the shirt in my item box. Glad I take it off, or else it would burn to a crisp when I suddenly use Gnev’s possession.
    "Bye!! I'll visit again~"
    I wave my hand towards the farmers.
    "Goodbye and thanks for the help." the farmers said goodbye and wave their hands.
    While I was not seen anymore the Kobolds farmers started to chat each other.
    "Well, now that master Vodka change into a child he became more energetic."
    "Yeah... he reminds me of the kids I have back home hahaha."
    "Well, I'm glad we accepted his proposal in doing this stable job."
    "I was reluctant to accept first, but since we have safer place guess a stable job is good."
    "Really I like this kind of life, no more danger in hunting food in the wild."
    "Can't help it we lost most our strongest men and alpha male."
    "The future seems promising, cause master Vodka is teaching Bernard and Lavri."
    "Well master Vodka is a strong warrior plus we have no one to teach the young-lings so glad he accepted them as discipline."
    "Well, know what? Want to bet whose gonna be next alpha male once they grow into adult!"
    "Of course Bernard! Since he is from our group. Lavri was just found by the siblings after all."
    "Hey! don't be rude! Lavri help a lot and bring a lot of food you know and protected us with his traps."
    "His still an outsider! But don't forget Sanie, we don't know~ maybe we got alpha female instead."
    The farmers started to argue each other. But they where stop by the oldest to continue their work.
    Not only them but also the other adult Kobolds who are doing their perspective job. For example are those who stayed as hunters and gatherers that keep their old work. And the other Kobolds who are enjoying the new stuff they are learning with the guidance of the Frontier Villagers.
    ----
    I spend my day watching Presia teach the children while also helping. I also visited the barn and pasture looking at the pregnant sheep and cows. The chickens and rabbits meanwhile are multiplying quickly. Wait, couldn't I just get some chicken in the wild too?
    This was a good break I guess~
    I finally have free time after completing the quest and making a contract with Stolz. But I feel like I lost something important.
    Oh well~ I should focus on learning some holy magic and be a better Cleric for Hikari.
    A cleric is a religious order of knighthood which combined military and religious training with a code of protection and service. Knight was kinda similar to Cleric just they work under the God/Goddess. From what I research they are capable of combat and use of divine magic.
    I’m already a veteran merc and a retired knight, combat is check for me. I only new small divine magic such as minor healing spells like minor heal and cleanse. But I have high holy attribute so I only need to study and learn some. I need large number of healing and curative magics.
    Hmm… It would be nice if I meet those Clerics from my previous quest. They seem quite powerful and know a lot of magic. But they disappeared into a golden door, I hope I can meet them again.
    For now while researching for books related to holy magic.
    I should interrogate Lavri about his skills that are above his level. I have rated him as ⅘ from my followers' rating. But I need to clarify how he got those skills.
    I walk towards Bernard home carrying fruits and milk for a get well visit.
    As I enter I notice Lavri was not in his bed. Sanie was peeling an apple for Bernard while Flyx was playing a healing flute.
    “Oh my~ hello master Vodka came here to visit?”
    Presia suddenly appears behind my back.
    “Presia why do I feel like you're getting good at hiding your presence.”
    I look towards Presia whose tails is burning with a light blue flame. “Umm…. your tail is?”
    “Fufufu, I’m practicing in controlling my demon cat powers. So that why you didn’t notice my presence earlier.”
    Presia giggles as she walks and changes Bernard bandage.
    “Good Day master Vodka!”
    Sanie smiled as she waves her hand and assists Presia.
    “Welcome back master, did you have fun flying towards the guild?”
    Flyx looks gloomy as he remembers being carried around as Jin flew to the sky.
    “Hehehe~ yes I have fun. I also hang out in the Tavern and even ask Hikari for me to become his belieber. Now I aim to be the Goddess of Sacrifice Hikari’s Crusader! But first I need start as a Cleric first.”
    I nodded as I proudly proclaimed my new goal
    “Oh~ isn’t she the receptionist you always take your quest too? She becomes a Goddess?”
    Flyx ears stood straight hearing an amazing news.
    “Yes, she ascended in Godhood and become a Goddess of Sacrifice. I heard Stolz said about a goddess near when I was submitting my quest. Since, the only person close to me was Hikari. I concluded that she was the goddess Stolz was talking about.”
    “Congratulations master Vodka!”
    Sanie claps her hand even though she don't understand what it really meant.
    “That’s great! I wish you luck!!”
    Bernard grins widely as he shouted but suddenly yelp from pain due to excessive movement.
    “Geez, you're still healing so don’t push yourself”
    Presia help Bernard lighten the pain as she looks towards me. “Well, that would be fun fufufu~”
    All started cheering me making me excited in doing my best.
    Wait… I think I was forgetting something a that’s right.
    “Where is Lavri?”
    “Oh~ if it’s Lavri he’s on the rooftop, seems like he already healed.”
    “Okay then thanks, Presia!”
    I wave my hand as I went out and leap towards the rooftop. There I see Lavri asleep while sitting. I always rate the people that would I team up through my eyes and guts. This rating depends on the amount of star where 5 is highest growth possibility. Presia was the highest of 5 while Lavri was 4.
    ........The Mysterious Lavri (4-star rating follower)
    “Sup’ Lavri how you doing?”
    I sat behind him knowing he will awake from the slightest sound.
    I kinda notice it when I was training the Kobolds. Lavri was really a mysterious one and seems to know a lot. From the time I was teaching them language. Sanie was able to understand easily while Bernard was having a hard time. In case of Lavri, he was a strange one that seems to know how to read and write.
    “Master Vodka, do you need anything?”
    Lavri still closing his eyes.
    “Yup, I need to ask… Who are you really? You seem like not from the Askians Nomad and you have too many skills at a young age.”
    “Yes... I’m not from here.”
    Lavri opens his eyes as he looks to the sunset. “Remember about Ara? She had a follower who is a Kobold from the Verbant Forest”
    “Oh! Ara also has Kobold follower. I only now Grom the Goblin~”
    “Yes… you see my father is from there. I don’t remember much, my father was a thief. He would move around places to steal stuff. My father… will use me as his accomplices, sometimes due to my small build. He would use me to go to steal stuff only me can get. We encounter a lot of near death experience….”
    Lavri closes his eyes as he raises head towards the sky and stays silent for a couple of minutes.
    “He taught me a lot of stuff, from different traps to different types of bombs, thief skills and how to kill”
    Lavri look at his paw. “In the end, my father died in the hand of an adventurer.”
    “That’s… then why did you follow me?”
    “I’m not really attached to my father. Even if he died, I didn’t feel anything. Sadness nor loneliness nothing at all. All the thing I could feel was the relief, that I could finally stop running away. I could finally rest and have an easy life.”
    “I see...”
    I lightly pat Lavri’s head. “So… how did you come to join the Askian Nomads?”
    “They have saved me when I was dying. I feel in a waterfall since I no longer have no will to live.”
    Lavri looks at his paw as he closes his eyes. “There Sanie and Bernard saved me, I guess it is been 2 years since then”
    “Wait, how old are you?”
    “Hmm… I’m already 7 year old which is like teenage for human lifespan. When I was 2 which would 10 in human age, my father started teaching me his thief ways.”
    “I see, but there is also some mystery. Even if your father trained you, Lavri you ability seems still above for your age. I can understand if Bernard could kill several human bandits because he's an archer but your skills are too excellent for a young rogue. You even have high speed and a large variety of skills above your age.” I was a bit shock Lavri is actually a teenage in human age. Wait, maybe cause the Kobolds are short and seems to look young in my eyes.
    “.......”
    Lavri grow silent as the sky turn darker and night approaches
    I waited for him for a response I look up the stars that started to be visible.
    ----
    Lavri finally open his mouth as he stands up reaching his paw to the moon, “Master Vodka do you always dream about something?”
    “Well, I don’t usually. I sleep without having any dream but….”
    I was reluctant to continue but he still opens his mouth.
    “I used to have nightmares before but now it seems they are gone”
    I close my eyes as I think about.
    "Since I have made a contract with Stolz, I have started to sleep peacefully. Maybe because of how my race was change or how some of my memory fragmented. But it’s likely cause of the holy mana in my blood that is stopping the progression of the demon lord blood. It was considered a miracle that my high holy mana attribute stop me from becoming a demon lord. With this, I was able to retain my humanity and memories."
    I closed my eyes as a smile of relief appears.
    “Thanks for sharing it to master Vodka, then I will tell you mine.”
    Lavri faces me as he was smiled, “When I sleep I always dream where I was not a Kobold.”
    “Not a Kobold?”
    “Yes… in my dream I was a Dog beast-kin. It started when I was at young age. That’s why I always go to sleep since those dream seems nostalgic me and feel nice to me.”
    Lavri sits beside me as he closes as eyes.
    “Oh sounds interesting, so what the dream about?”
    “Well, it seems like I was traveling around toward somewhere. I was with 3 companions; a bear, a cat, and a rabbit beastkin.”
    “Sounds fun! So how did it go? Did you get your skills and abilities from that dream?”
    “Well, I don’t know... It seems I'm still far away but in my dream I always fighting with them. But because of that, I learn must of my skills there and was able to apply it now.”
    Lavri clench his fist. “There I was this assassin so that’s why I was able to easily do what my father teaches and plan for my next move.”
    “Oh! Seems like you because of the dream it adds up to your experience! That’s why you're good in fighting!”
    I smiled as I thought wasn’t this like those people who remember their past life.
    “.....”
    Lavri nods silently.
    “So is there anything more in your dream you remember the most”
    Lavri smiles widely which was rare. He started talking all about his dream and the adventures that he experiences. I listened happily as I keep nodding as he keep looking toward him.
    Moments later I finally notice he was sleeping, since it was already late night.
    I carried him towards his bed and covered him with his blanket.
    Well, that just shows why his better among the Kobolds. Dream about the past life huh….
    Maybe he was trying to talk less since the him in his dream doesn’t talk. I wonder when he reaches the end of the journey in his dream, what would happen..?
    ------
    After I finish my daily exercise routine and before I go to sleep, I have noticed great changes in my body.
    My strength has a significant increase that I sometimes mistakenly destroy door handles and other stuff I’m holding. It was hard trying to adjust my new profound strength and a series of the test need to be done.
    Additionally, my aura has changed, where I sometimes notice animals running away from me. It seems that my half demon lord blood emits fear to its surrounding. Though, I can regulate it by covering myself with holy aura. It would be quite troublesome since it would attract the animals.
    My holy aura control also increases since I started to follow Hikari-sama. Guess, this is how faith works. I just need to concentrate and pray towards her to call upon the holy aura in me. The holy aura feels nice and warm.
    “Hmm… maybe I can use minor heals to Bernard and Lavri.”
    I smiled widely as I rush to sleep.
    But for now, I need to focus on how to use my body. For that, I would like to test my control of strength. Well, I know the perfect guinea pig for that hehehe~
    Somewhere far away, Shamal sneeze as he was busy meditating.
    OOC: Well, guess I clarified most of the plot holes in my previous SS about the Askians... I hope Orz.
    - Because I wrote the first one during the raid so many details are left out. Maybe I can write the discussion during Bernard and Sanie SS.
    - Askian Hamlet are nomads from a far away land chased out by war. They lost their warriors and alpha male from it.
    - They trusted Jin since he saved them and wanted to help them from the troubles. Maybe the elder has good judgement so he truly trust Jin words. A old man wisdom perhaps.
    - Yurt houses was made since it can be done easily. So making home for them only takes one day.
    - Changing livelihood seems not a problem due to the Askians adaptability and willing to improve. Some did argue but since Schnauzer is the elder and has the final say, the other can't complain.
    - Didn't write convo between Kayla and Schnauzer cause I don't really know how to write a character that I'm not familiar with sorry. *kowtows*
    - Flag risen for changes in Jin strength as half demon lord and some Training arc.
    - Sanie and Bernard clarification will be after I finish all Jin's backstory. I'm gonna write it in their POV.
    - But I'm glad I'm done clarifying why Lavri has a lot of skills during the raid due to the fact that he was the reincarnation of an original character from 10 years ago of mine. Kinda went overboard, cause I remember having a dog character so I add him to the Kobold roster. I should have explained it properly, but the raid arrives when I just finish the quest where I take the Askians.
    Well, here is original character designs Lavri based on:
    lavri.png the bunny beastkin is one of his groupie. While the colored pic above was a part of a comic I wrote in 2009 he is on the left side LOL.
    I suppose to have lot of short comic with him but left it in my hometown Orz.
    Shamal earlier design is also there hahaha~
    ((@Evil_Ginger Sorry if it was boring, since I was just trying to clarify some stuff. But since the Frontier is a safe place, there is no conflict.
    Around 4.6k words and now I will focus in finishing my backstory... :sweating_profusely:
    It will explain some stuff why Jin use the word class and skills to his followers there))
    Being that my past quests were still under deliberation, I took this time to head for the inn and sit down for a much needed inventory check. The fact that I'd just dump things in my item pouch was not a very ideal practice. With that plan set, I dropped by the Tavern to get a quick to-go drink and then finally walked to the Adventurer Inn. Once I reached my rented room, I placed my drink on the small desk to the side and started removing my armor. Setting that aside with my daggers, I finally started to check my items. First, I started off with my travelling bag and then proceeded to the item pouch. Carefully, I took the time to arrange my stuff in a more sensible way.
