I played when they first came out. Lots. But I got bored fast because I NEVER lost. I felt the game was way too easy and mechanical. Well. Obviously I just didn't have same level opponents, but Hey, I was a kid. I enjoyed MTG a lot more.
I play irl with older decks (before 5d) sometimes. What are those weird things you mention? (tbh I played YGO pro a bit, but only really against the AI. No clue how to do anything else.)
what casual, yugioh is so sht now, thats why konami try to remake it with duel link, and try to balance out all the cards and decks
Dunno. but the first series was released and all the cards had "1st edition" written on them. I saw some of the cards later on, and even some names had been changed.
when i played classics i went with K-Q-J knight decks those guys were fun pity they cant rlly stand up to all the new decks anymore was a blast with those guys
I play YGOpro but I havent updated it since the XYZ format. I played duel links, but it have too much grind VS the NPC that I got bored doing it. The pvp isnt even as rewarding as the NPC grind.. I used to play real life ygo cards.. I quit not long after the XYZ format tho.. the tournament was pretty fun and exciting tho.
I loved Sorcerer of Dark Magic and Exxod, Master of the Guard. Either I just cobbled together cards I liked or centered around one of those 2. Objectively, the spells and traps were key for my decks far more than any monster. I usually never even drew either of them.
When I was a kid my family gifted me hundreds of fake Spanish cards. It might even have been on purpose.
