Not sure. The mechanics that, usually, a military novel, one written by someone who knows his/her stuff, to me, aren't present. For example, no mercenary/soldier (who has specific knowledge and was trained) would aproach a fallen enemy withouth a care.

Well, don't let yourselves be influence by what I've saied, give the book a try.

Basically I'll read everything eventually, but depending on reviews and initial impressions I'll prioritize what to read first in order.

If I read a novel that's not fully translated I'll just have to wait for updates anyway so it's not like it really matters that much in the end.

What I don't like is when they're being long-winded, if they can say the same thing without spending an entire chapter pointing out obsolete details then it's bad.

If the descriptions actually add to the novel then it can be a good thing of course.

Maybe you can give me some slight spoilers of what happens?

Did you read my review XD? Pretty much explains it all, I know I'm saying it again... it's not long winded IMO, I would know, I hate long winded.

All I saw was "info dumps" and "flashbacks" :p

Well the TL just leaves some random bogus in their "translation" like "when dogs bark crows caw" (I made that one up) and there's really no explanation besides "They say that in China/Korea/on the internet/whatever" and I'm like, ok so what the hell does that mean?

Haven't seen those, only with explanations which I hate, not just idioms but also what do you call it...stuff XD reverse scale = ... 7inch from the head of the snake =...

The most annoying for me is probably when they for some reason feel the need to explain what an English word mean, especially fairly common ones.

I mean if I really don't know what it means and want to find out I can just google those.

I lost a lot of interest when I saw in reviews that it will become exactly like gantz where they can just continue to revive each other so the tension is completely gone.

Sacrifices become completely meaningless and so on.

MrVoid on the wuxia world TI end of chapter comment section pointed out a lot of annoying things as well, most of which I have to agree with.

They can only be revived once, I didn't mind, dropped it coz the MC is stupid

Don't read rants before you read the novel, some things you wouldn't mind but after someone pointed those out to you, suddenly you could be too annoyed by them.

But the description reminds me of another novel (xianxia) with very weak MC / low talent that has to use his clever mind. I'll try to find it since I remember it was at least pretty interesting, don't know if it's good or bad though.

Does he ever personally lead any of the troops? I remember him having a run in with some soldiers but then parting ways and leaving with those two girls.

Read a bit by now and the first thing that happens is he walks around and blatantly show off his new power and let them know he can use it again, admitting to that he's the cause so there's no doubt about who caused them to suddenly become paralysed and mute, right before calling the cops who will obviously try to find out what happened...

MC is basically asking to get found out, especially if there's any other people in a similar situation as himself, which is basically a guarantee since he's already seen the corpse...

Well...corpse now works for him gathering intel on OTHER soverigns...
