War? It hasn't even been declared yet...Ink promised he would notify everyone if it did eventually happen. Oh well if she thought it was better to stay on this side then so be it. Whether or not it is safer would be another matter altogether...food and shelter seemed to be a problem. Ah too bad she didn't want to come back with us.

Communication? She didn't have anything like that, everyone heard her messages no matter where they were. But it was only something she could do...Peony was frustrated she was of no help for Tomu.

"Sorry, I don't have anything either. Traveling through the lands with messages is what the majority do as no (publicly known) forms of communication have been established. We are a new World after all. There was absolutely nothing when the first few citizens landed."

Rummaging in her pocket Peony takes out a hair ribbon and holds it out to the hedgehog.

"Here this will have to do, I used it daily to keep my hair out of my face whilst tending to the fields. She will be safe with the ribbon tied in her hair. You both will be better off not knowing what it was exposed to...eh dangerous animals don't like the scent and will avoid it. Yes, that's all you need to know." Peony nods confidently at her last words.

Another thought strikes her and she opens her mouth again, "Do you have any methods for communication? How about talking to the spirits?"

OOC: I'm not going to tell you possible weak points of that method or take hours explaining a master plan, so don't even try.

A ribbon? I take it and give it a quick look, then place it besides Tomu. "Thanks! Communication, communication... perhaps that could work."

I gather a rather big amount of leaves into two piles and concentrate. After some time, the leaves disappear in a puff of white smoke and two small tanuki figures remain.

"If you put it on leaves, you should be able to hear what the other person says to it and the other way around. Surprising that I haven't thought of this before... it is quite good for pranks."

 

OOC: Let me guess. You will pass the river in the west, and then either attack us from behind while your army charges our front, or corrupt the giant forest in the southeast. Or both. As an alternative, you could also go to the underworld and do, don't know, do your stuff.

"...that is so cute!" Peony exclaims excitedly while picking up one of the small figures. She looks at it from all angles and is very pleased to find it rather soft and fluffy.

"So we put it on leaves for communication...any leaves will do right?" She wanted to try it out right away but didn't want to disturb Tomu.

Hugging the small figure she twirls around in excitement. Gaining a souvenir makes this trip seem even more better!
