The public has the right to be informed. Is there justice in not being informed that the novel has NTR because they were not logged in and only saw the positive buttkissing reviews? We should auto-approve reviews by members. No questions asked. Is that so incredibly difficult to implement or is there money to be had in preventing negative reviews from surfacing (like protection money)? We already have the terms of service for any issue that may arise. We should be progressive and allow the public to be educated in the perils of certain novels.
You can look at tags to see if there is ntr or not. Reviews need to be approved to make sure they actually make sense and talk about the novel, Tony won't stop you from making a review just because you said something bad about a novel.
What's the tag for NTR? Yeah, he won't stop you. He'll just prevent the public from knowing it. Anyway, whatever. It's up to the devs anyway. Just four lines of logic could ease up the backlog of valid, helpful reviews rather than having to manually approve each of them. There could be an automatic approval based on association, total likes and maybe the bank money here in the forums. It isn't that hard. There's a number of ways to do that, but they're just letting it be because nobody's got time for that. It reminds me of that translator who made his/her readers suffer through hell reading their works because they can't put a previous, next link and update their ToCs. I hate for novelupdates to be as apathetic as that.
Is this because you tried to spam and it didn't get approved? No, I don't delete reviews just because they are trashing a novel. You should look harder. Please read the review guidelines here: http://www.novelupdates.com/review-guidelines/
It's not spam. It's informing the public to read the novels while they last. It's public service. haha. But seriously, I'll edit them later. The reviews of wycwe's novels are also a placeholder until he/she fixes their dumb website. To be fair, I only signed up in novelupdates because of wycwe's consistent snubbing of her reader's pleas. It's now like over three years worth of begging from her readers, with still no improvement. Anyway, thanks for the link to the review guidelines. No guarantees that I won't rant again in the future in case my hypothetically awesome review doesn't get approved.
Better read this before Qidian puts up a paywall, forcing you to pay for each chapter. Business is business. lovely was right \o/
I was hoping to make Qidian think twice before putting up a paywall. hahaha. I may have overdone it a bit. *disappears*
