Remember the almighty MENU. He keeps tabs on people who he befriends or something. He keeps them incheck every now and then. Just think of Satou as an admin ingame.
Doesn't satou also have a ton of forbidden magics and magics he created? I wouldn't put it past him to have made a magic to be able to travel back in time
He needs a large amount of mana to travel to other worlds. Travelling through time would be exponentially larger.
Well he could store his magic in the swords, revert his age with the magic, and if his time reverted is less than the magic generated in that time then he will have made profit and can go back in time
I was wondering why Satou (who knows about minmaxing) wouldnt just put his mana into excalibur every day. He seems to use up his mana storage swords often.
I think that to travel between worlds satou only expend his magic once and after planting a doghouse (plank) to establish his territory. After that he only need to use his unique skill and bam

he actually already did put points in lost knowledge skill a few chapters back, i forgot which since its been so long though.
