There has been 3 ep of Knights and Magic now. But the way they're telling the story... feels like its aimed for younger audiences. Just a bit meh'd about it.

So I was wondering. Who do you think the anime is targetted for?
( outside of the novel & manga readers )

You can vote all if you think it fits. I just want to see a gradient.

I think the anime is ok, but boi is the story cut way short from LN and weirdly executed at times.

Tldr : Data collection from your opinion of KnM anime

I mean, technically speaking unless seinen ALL anime are targeted towards younger audiences.
But just because something is targeted towards a younger audience doesnt mean older people cant enjoy it.

Before I start watching an anime I always check its rating on anidb.net, and with the horrible rating it has for that show I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole.

Yeah I agree on that. But the presentation may turn off some critical people from properly enjoying something that might actually be good

I think it's about 10 to 20. The story it self isn't that heavy or dramatic, but I think they're trying to aim viewers from early teens to late teens. These kind of story are most compatible with teens or young adult, but trying to stretch it a bit to early teens is good thing, I think. I mean, more viewers! So, why not?

It feels like a recap of the LN, because the events buildout way too fast in the anime. Just this makes it weird.

LN adaptation Anime is usually can be considered as LN advertisement: "IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE STORY MORE, BUY THE LN!"
Hence why they targetted young people who would be attracted by the Robot and Trap.

I think its kinda like those other anime with LN that was made to promote the LN and manga.
Theyre likely ending KnM this season and not expecting another season2.

They cramped in the arc 1 in one episode, and arc 2 in two episodes. So it's kinda like how a web novel have plot holes and you have to buy the LN to read a better story out of it? Just in this case the story got compressed like fk.

    It's 10-20.

As what Yukkuri said it's a form of advertisement. So don't expect too much from an adaption with only 12 episodes (heh limited budget) and there's bound to be skipped events BUT i like how the CG animation is implemented in this series compared to other earlier series with CG generated scenes.

Heh. So you let other people dictate what's good and bad.

Quite opposite on what i do. if it'll fit my taste I'll continue the series if not then I drop it.

The problem here, as others already said, is that it's completely rushed...
The meeting of the main cast and them growing together was botched in less than a minute and the whole behemoth fight arc was an episode long slapdash job...
They did a good work on the mecha design and animation (even if I'm not a total fan of those stiff animated 3D CG), but the characters have no build up, so there is no way for watcher to get interrested in the cast of this adaptation.
It's nothing more than a 12 episode long really expensive trailer and spoiler fest for the novel. To bad, it had quite the potentiel as this season in lacking in mecha shows...
