Ater...Ater...more observation will be needed. I am thankful for her help, but more time will need to be spent together to grasp her...personality.

Being on the end of Jibs healing, Blanc did feel like she is still in one piece. But having magic enter her system felt too foreign...most of her usual wounds be them big or small were healed naturally. Scaring was unavoidable but it was a part of life. If Blanc said this, she is sure that Jibs would be rather put out. Elyn would look at her with teary eyes and follow her around for days to make sure scarring didn't actually occur. She loved them both all the same.

After her little mishap, the girls were still shaken but there is no time to pause and think about it. Too many emotions on the battlefield left one muddleheaded. She needed to focus. She needed to stay observant. She needed to MOVE!

Without saying anything, Blanc dashes towards the two figures near the South Gate. A ice wall had appeared but it seems to be n a very unstable condition. She sees those pesky bandits coming closer...and closer...it is time. She lifts up her fan and deflects the oncoming after. Aika follows up to draw their attention to her as she skips behind them just out of reach.

"Do your thing Sio. We'll take care of them."

Not waiting for an answer, Blanc leaps into the air and closes the distance between her and the oncoming bandits.

"Uuuu...Blanc left us behind.." Elyn tears up again as she watches their leader skip through the group of bandits.

"We have to help Sio, Elyn!" She turns towards Sio and smiles slightly. "We finally meet again! Elyn and I can help with casting ice spells at the gate!"

Well that was that then. Without much fanfare the three girls casted their spells and blocked off the South Gate.

The blonde haired figure was completely forgotten...well forgotten by all but one but let's not go into that for now.

Elyn and Jibs paid him no mind and helps Sio. Ice magic shoots down and forms around the Gate encasing its surface immediately. Slowly the Gate is covered by a 2 meter thick layer of ice.

Hopefully it holds for the duration of the clean up.

Perhaps it will hold. Perhaps not. But their job is done.

After a long battle at the southern gate, bodies are all around Razogul. Blood splattered everywhere, limbs missing from most of the corpses. Seeing that there are still some by the southern gate, Razogul charges towards them.

"Retreat! We're no match for the adventurers, hurry!" All of the bandits of various regimes start going towards the gate. Attempting to flee from the nightmare that befell them here.

"Running away? Sorry...but that's not allowed." Razogul aims his magic and shoots his spell 'Dark Bullet' at each of their bodies.

All of the bandits fall down, most on the ground dead. However some stand up with only flesh wounds and keep running. Seeing this, Razogul is surprised at how they fended it off.

"Interesting, usually most are dead by then. You must be Bandit Captains?" Seeing him question them, they don't respond and keep running. Almost reaching the gate, smiles start appearing on their faces.

"We're going to make it! Screw this job, we're out of here!"

Right before they get out, their sight starts falling to the ground. Their bodies fall over beside them, showing their heads were decapitated. Blood gushing out of their necks as they lay on the ground.

Razogul looks at his clothes and sees that he's soaked from the battle. Being a clean freak, he uses his dark energy to get rid of it on his clothes.

From all he can see, bandits are dead on the ground. Thinking they're all dead, he takes a break.

"That was tiring..."

The mist that I had made to try to help, in the end, didn’t lasted that much and died out.

My head ached and my vision was darkening more and more.

I tried to stay in my feet while relying on my spear to stand. But my legs were losing strength rapidly and I wouldn’t be able to remain like that for long.

[Kuma, are you okay?] (Eris)

I wanted to answer her, but my mouth didn’t moved.

“You did well.”

The voice whispered in my ears before I fell to my knees.

“Now rest in peace.”

After that, I blackened out.


---------------- Side Mirea ----------------


I was guarding the cages with my meals when I realised. I couldn’t feel Kuma anymore. Her ‘fire’ was dwindling faster than I expected or wanted.

[So Kuma is finally done for good...] (Mirea)

My core throbbed uncontrollably. I didn’t know what it was, but it was certainly unpleasant. My mana started to get out of control, so I sucked it all inside my core.

But that solution wasn’t enough. It continued to run amok inside of me, wanting to tear me off from the insides.

I looked at the sky and concentrated all the unruly mana in my throat. I should at least use this to tell Maligno.

[AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!] (Mirea)

A wail coming from the pits of my core. I don’t know where he is, but I hope he’s able to hear me at least.

I was ready to relax for a bit while watching Yuki’s and Cub’s funny interactions, when I heard it.

[AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!]

A wail resounded across half of the city, and I knew very well who it was. And from Mirea’s voice, I could roughly guess what had happened.

“Fuck… fuck… why of all things...” (Maligno)

" Hi Maligno~~ How are you? are you fine right now? " (Yuki)

“No, I’m not… Actually I’m in the foulest of my moods right now.” (Maligno)

I need to run. I need to get where she is. I need to confirm it isn’t what I think it is.

A flash of blue light shines in the south gate, but I couldn’t care less. Though Yuki seems to be rejoiced.

" Looks like Master is near the Southern Gate~ Lets Go Brynd~” (Yuki)

Her words brought a sour taste to my mouth. Master, is it? I should also be rushing to mine right now.

“also stay put for a while Maligno, You just woke up~ " (Yuki)

I ignored her rather carefree words and jumped down from Brynd. I started to run in the direction of Kuma’s scent praying that I’m just bad at reading the mood.

Successfully escorting the 20+ civilians, Yoru then got thanked by them and was about to leave when the kid he first save stopped him for a bit.

(LK) - "Nii-san! Thank you!" *hugs*
(Yoru) - "Hahaha~ Welcome~"
He patted the kids head.
(LK) - "When I grow up, I would like to be like nii-san!"
(Yoru) - "Ha ha ha.... "

Yoru hearing the kid's declaration, laughed awkwardly but didn't stop him.

I would rather like you to not be like me tho.
(Yoru) - "Anyways, I better get going now."
(LK) - "Oh... " *Stops hugging* "Nii-san had many things to do eh? Okay! But can I request one last thing?"
(Yoru) - "Sure. What is it?"
(LK) - "Please tell me your name."

That's it? Well, I guess.... I could tell him, there's nothing bad in it anyway.

"If that's it. Then sure. The name's Yoru. Anyway, Goodbye."
He then walked away, waving without looking back.

(Alice) - "Yoru Nii-san.... Please wait for Alice to grow up and ...... " *blush*

Alice watching him leave, promised something in her little heart.

A good kid. He's brave and obedient. He'll definitely become someone strong..... And when that time comes....

Well anyways, it's not like we'll meet again.

He shook his head and become serious.

"Now..... Better go back to Kynn..."

He then rushed back to the southern gate immediately to see Kynn.

'Oh seems like the bandits are almost annihilated' Jin Soju look amazed the Southern gate is ready to be secured.
'As expected from the Great Guild senpais~' Jin Soju wanted to whistle but no voice came out caused by the Silence skill.

'I should look for Flyx's wifu Presia now only bandits left' Jin Sogu runs around in the vicinity of the Southern gate until he sees a White Nekomata lady. Jin Sogu approaches and tried to touch her shoulder cause he couldn't speak.

"Who's there!!" Presia pointed his fan towards the hooded man ready to attack. Jin Sogu steps back and moves his arms making weird gestures trying to talk.

'Ah that's right magic words!!' Jin quickly start to write a magic word in the air using his index finger.

[I'm Soju, a friend of Flynx.... Where looking for you miss Presia]​

"Oh my~ a friend of Flynx sorry you were too suspicious I almost slash you sorry~" Presia said fanning herself. "So where is Flyx?"
Jin Soju pointed at the rooftop where a bunny man is playing the violin, [His that guy, his using disguise].
"Oh... I almost forgot about Flynx disguise... but it isn't taxing to his body, What happened?" Presia asks tilting her head.
Jin Soju started writing down all the events that happened especially the part where Raijuukitty is after them.

"Oh, my~ aren't you naughty man fufufu..." Presia laughs as he land to the rooftop where Flyx is. Jin Soju could only shrug his shoulder.

"FLYX!!! your a bunny guy..." Presia remarks "But I think it's better if you disguise yourself as a girl!! it's safer that way!!" she said with sparkly eyes.
"Hmm... you're right I'm still a bit scared to that cat" Flyx nodded and use his [disguise] suddenly her hair grows to his shoulder while her chest grows. Now he just looks like a bunny girl in a butler outfit.
'IT'S A TRAP!!!!' Jin Soju shouted inwardly.

Presia suddenly hugs Flyx, "Ah~ so cute Flyx is the best, no now your name is Fluff!!" as she keeps rubbing her face to Flyx Fluff head.
'It's this the legendary YURI! ah no, Flyx is still a guy he just transformed' Jin decided to ignore these weird events.
[Then shall we go and search for civilians who need help and clean up the leftovers?]

'Hmm.. who is this hooded man?' Flyx Fluff thought "No.... I'm still going to thanks, Jin"
[Don't worry about him, his safe!!] Jin Soju wrote. 'To fool your enemies, you need to fool your allies' his eyes gleams with seriousness.

"I'm still worried about the little Fox Kynn~ why don't we check her for a bit please~" Presia said with begging eyes "Plus, Fluff is coming with me" she hugs Flyx Fluff tightly.

[Geez, guess I have no choice let's go check Kynn] Jin Soju gave up and proceed to walk together with Presia and Flyx Fluff.

[Let's also clean up the leftovers Bandits and assist the civilian] Jin Soju looks the two who are flirting while they search for Kynn.

(Gabriel stood over a crumpled up heap of metal surrounded by weird blue fog. He was sweating and gulping down bottles of blue liquid, but he stood victorious over the living armor. The various Minions had disappeared, but the Lesser Demons still guarded the remaining survivors. In the distance, several minor adventurers were celebrating.)

Idiots. Don't jinx yourself.

(Though nothing was happening now, it certainly seemed like the worst had passed. The two strong followers had disappeared from the battlefield, so Gabriel spent the next few hours 'disciplining' the Legion Knight. After being beaten by the skillful Minions, the Legion Knight showed completely different abilities than before. When it was first created, it looked like a normal Undead. Now, however, it was adopting the movement styles of the different monsters that made up its creation. Sometimes expressing the slyness of a Goblin, while sometimes showing the brutal style of the Orcs. At another point, it even let itself fall to the primal instinct of the Kobold. But without a doubt, the strongest style it exhibited was the power of the Boar Warrior.)

Good. It looks like you are getting better. Now watch over the weaklings. You can't display your might properly against them, so only fight strong enemies. Got that?

"Graaw..."

(It's intelligence was practically nonexistent, but it thought like a musclehead. It needed to prove its strength to anybody and everybody. So, Gabriel managed to convince it to not hurt the 'weaklings' around it. Thus, he had to create the image that the Legion Knight was actually stronger than it was. It was a way to reduce trouble. Thankfully, it wasn't like the Living Armor would die easily. It was categorized as an Undead, so it didn't have the weakness of the Golem Knights that had a core. Better yet, since it was made with Mithril, then its resistance to holy magic was pretty high, making it not a weakness anymore. Plus, physical attacks were useless because of the durable metal.)

Such a waste. I should have waited for better materials.

(If either the Sidhe or Undead had heard this, they would have done the best they could to stop him from going on an adventure, but...they weren't, so he decided to do so once the RAID was over. He looked back over the battlefield and waited)

 

A wide smile appeared on the grand elder’s face as he looked through Shadow’s spyglass.
“Magnificent! We have secured all gate! I can’t believe it!”
“I-Is that true, Grand Elder?”
“It is, young one! Look at it yourself,” said the elder as he passed the spyglass to her.
When she looked around, she also exclaimed the same thing, making the same smile spread not only to her face but also to the three guards near them.
“What the!?”
A sudden shout from Shadow startled them. Unlike them, he wore a frowning face, which made the four of them worried.
“W-What is it, Guildmaster?”
“…Give me the spyglass.”
Miu quickly gave the spyglass to him and he quickly looked to the far. But unlike the two that wanted to look at the gate, he pointed his spyglass at the area beyond the gate.
“Tch! Damn it!”
He quickly flicked his finger, making the spider that has been perched on his shoulder came closer. It glows with a strange green glow and Shadow let out his announcement.
“ATTENTION ALL MEMBER! THIS IS YOUR GUILDMATER SPEAKING! MULTIPLE SIEGE ENGINE SPOTTED! I REPEAT! MULTIPLE SIEGE ENGINE SPO-“
He couldn’t finish his announcement due to a sudden shake that make the whole castle vibrates. Shadow who almost fell over the balcony looked with his spyglass again.
“Damn it! The wall are down!”
“WHAT!?”
The five Masayori clansmen quickly looked at the gate from their place and their face pale. The Guildmaster quickly sent another order.
“NEW ORDER! I REPEAT! NEW ORDER FOR ALL MEMBER!”

Announcement! Current condition!

1. All gates and wall has been wrecked with multiple siege engines. All member change to defensive. Do not approach the gate. Another wave of bandits attack the town.
   
2. You have 40 posts for this mission. All rank’s post is counted, no exception.
3. E ranked member will help the remaining citizen evacuate to the port and the castle.
4. D-C ranked member will keep the enemy at bay. Don’t let them go past the perimeter of the residential area.
5. B-A ranked member will stand down and just continue monitoring the whole town while also rescuing the people in need of help. Stop the siege engine attack, but do not confront the siege engine.
6. Command for the E-C ranked is given to @BlancFrost . Follow her instruction until the Guildmaster show up.

New enemies

1. Bandit Giant [B-Rank]
   They are not really giant. But their body built is so huge; one might have mistaken them as such. They wear heavy armor that they have probably scavenged from a poor soul somewhere. Their waeapon is either a large axe or large club. Usually accompanied by a small squad of Bandit Guard and Bandit Archer.
2. Catapult [C-Rank][Siege Engine][Not Killable][Projectile Only]
   These crudely made engines can hurl rocks for quite a distance. While accuracy is not its strength, it packed a strong punch that can damage walls easily. Protected by at least a group of Bandit Guard.
3. Ballista [C-Rank][Siege Engine][Not Killable][Projectile Only]
   Shaped like a giant crossbow, these deadly machines can launch heavy projectile with quite a speed. They usually lit their bolt, adding a chance of setting fire on anything it hits. Protected by at least a group of Bandit Guard.
4. Elephant-kin Brute [C-Rank]
   The Brute are the guard unit of the Violet Gang. Known to be very slow, they are tasked with holding large thick shields on each of their large hand. The shields are adorned with spikes and a single ram from them will be enough to incapacitate unprepared enemy. They are also known to have the thickest hide amongst their brethren, making them best suited for guarding key points of their army.
5. Elephant-kin Destroyer [B-Rank]
   The Destroyer is the Violet Gang specialized unit. They are armed with large cleaver and thick shield. Not only that, they are also equipped with heavy armor. They charge toward the enemy rank and can even destroy walls. Slower than the first two, but if they reach their target, only destruction will happen.
6. Tiger-kin Champion [C-Rank]
   Holding a large axe effortlessly and also capable of unleashing spirit claw, these Champions are a force to be reckon with. Strong, fast, and able to jump a long distance straight to the middle of the enemy rank, they are the specialized unit of the Blood Stripe. To make them faster, they refused to wear armor.
7. Tiger-kin Cannoner [C-Rank][Siege Engine][Not Killable][Projectile Only]
   While the wooden cannon are not that accurate, they pack a very strong punch in close range. Always come with a team of two, the Cannoner will set themselves up quickly and then let loose a heavy iron ball to knock the enemy’s structure, reducing them to rubble in seconds. After that, they will pick up their cannon and moved to another spot, ready to once again unleash destruction from afar.
8. Tiger-kin Fire Thrower – 2nd phase [C-Rank]
   Armed with simple sword and equipped with no armor whatsoever, these Fire Throwers are a group of fast runner of the Blood Stripe army. They carry crude fire pot that can spread fire when after they’ve been lit. Their only mission is to burn the enemy’s structure before running away.

 

"Shaaadyyyy dont you dare pretend I doesn't exist"

I said while telekinetically dangling the shady guildmaster over the balcony. How could he ignore me after every good things I've done for the guild? *this is totally not a severe case of selective memory syndrome*

Anyway, the gate and some part of the wall collapsed all of sudden. That's rude, I spent a lot of effort (actual effort may vary) to raise those ice walls! Since they want to play that way...

I willed a forest worth of woods and vines to grow, massively reinforcing the wall. As a plus point it'll regenerate and retaliate in face of attack, I'm sure it'll last long enough for me to torment fish out a response from the guildmaster.

Dammit, I told you so. Alright, Dmitri. Let's get our buddie Irene and see if she wants to join us.

(A large portal appears in the air as a beautiful ship descends onto the battlefield. After having more experience in the last raid, Irene and her crew were a lot more capable. They weren't flustered this time and carried expectant expressions. Their jeers and caterwauling filled the air as the magic cannons charged up. Gabriel took this moment to get onto the ship using the Wyvern)

Sup? You all look lively. Care to involve me?

(Instantly, the crew became silent. They were unsure of how to respond, but thankfully, Irene was a bit dumb)

"Ha! We are about to fire, so steer clear of the railing!"

Oh? Giving me orders, Captain?

"That's me! You're on my ship, after all!"

Uh huh. If you would, please meet me in your quarters.

"Heh, please. I already know you are strong. Just sit your ugly ass down and admire the fireworks."

Mmm...I admire your spunk. Keep at it. However, I do what I want. Enjoy.

(Gabriel jumped towards the bow of the ship and looked down on the field with excitement. For some reason, he looked a lot younger than before)

Hehe, I always wanted to be a sky pirate.

(Letting his inner thoughts be voiced, Gabriel chuckled to himself before letting himself go berserk. He let out a nightmarish howl before jumping off the ship and into the crowd of enemies below)

"Ah! Dammit!"

"Captain, do we continue?!"

"Yes! Fire when ready!"

"YES, SIR!"

(Large sounds of explosions soon followed, as several cannons filled with magical energy let loose and bombarded the fields below, taking out quite the few weaklings)

(Gabriel jumped around, using his Dragon Drill Lance to pierce through the enemies. Down went a Tigerman. Down went an Elephantman. Everywhere they looked, blood was being shed. Even though he was jumping around in the middle of it, the many magic explosions were narrowly evaded. During the fight, Gabriel would also cast several Necromancy spells to disrupt the enemy and make the amount of allies larger. Forsaking his magic and focusing entirely on his physical abilities, Gabriel displayed his power as someone able to destroy C Rank monsters and foes)

The Leader ran towards the wall with Qi enhancing his legs, as he got closer, the wall started attacking him with vines and wood, he dodged the wall's attacks and took a sword out of his belt.

"Ultimate Secret Technique, Sword of Chuuniness!!!!!" (Bandit Leader)

His slice cut through the wall like it was paper, the cut spread through the wall hurriedly, the wood and the walls started decaying and before long, the wall that was once there, was completely gone.

"A-as expected of the great One Cut Man! Just a single cut to completely wipe out the new wall! We're really glad to have you with us sire!" (Bandit 1)
"Hmph, those fools have eyes, but they cannot see the Mount Tai, to think they dared to face off against me of all people! Now charge men! Bring death to those pathetic fools!"
"Yeah!" (Bandits)

The wall that Rea-chan erected is down, the mid-boss (that I was way too lazy to name) is now entering the city together with the rest of the troops.

He is a cultivator and his sword attacks can directly attack your life forces, so be careful with it! Only C-B ranks can engage the mid-boss, and they cannot do it by themselves, they need at least one other C-B rank adventurer with them!

Eris POV​

The wall went down, the wall was erected again, but the wall soon fell.

In this chaotic battlefield, I had only one thing certain in my head. This was not the place for us. I hurriedly picked up Kuma’s body. She was cold, and I could only barely feel life coming from it.

We ran to the farthest place from the wall we could get.

[Eris, I think here is fine~] (Paradise)

Ara said that, so I stopped and signaled to Grom and the rest to do so too. I put down Kuma’s body in the ground and started looking around, checking if there was no bandit left.

While I guarded, Paradise started to cast healing magic at Kuma.

[Uh? Eh?! Fuueeee?!] (Paradise)

Ara suddenly shouted.

[What is it?] (Eris)

[She’s no being healed! It’s not working!] (Paradise)

[Are you doing your magic right?] (Eris)

[Yeah, I am! But the spell is being devoured before I can complete it!] (Paradise)

What’s that about?! A spell being eaten?! I looked at Ara strangely, but she didn’t seemed like she was lying nor joking around.

Before I could organize my thoughts, a voice called us out.

“Hey, that dead bear. Would you hand it over to me?” (???)

When I turned to look, there was a boy with white hair and feline ears. Is him a tiger-kin? No, he looks like a cat, rather than a tiger. He was staring at Kuma’s body while releasing a strong bloodlust in our direction.

[And why should we~? We protected her, so if she’s dead, the corpse is ours~] (Paradise)

Ara didn’t lost time thinking twice and spoke what was on her head. The cat-kin’s eyebrow twitched as he heard her reply.

“You protected her? You? Good~” (Cat-kin)

He took out a pair of knives from god knows where and grinned.

“At least I know who to kill.”

The cat-kin jumped from the rooftop and dashed to Ara faster than I could react. Fortunately, Grom blocked his attack when he was just about to reach Ara.

He kicked Grom aside and prepared to attack Ara. But now I had recovered from the sudden attack, so I blocked his path with my maul.

He approached me fastly. I couldn’t catch up with his speed and, before I even realized, I was knocked back and fell in my butt with my back against a wall. Grom had came back, so he and the other goblins were protecting Ara in my stead.

That girl… how can she stay fine in a situation like that? I’m starting to dislike her guts.

As expected. Plans are nice to put into place but you know there might be a few minor wrinkles along the way. This wrinkles is going to take a longer time to smooth out. Everyone will need to be working together and in the best condition to combat this wrinkle...

Collapsing walls and gates could be considered a wrinkle right?

Sio and Sin are no where to be seen...hopefully they weren't in the path of the crumbling walls...no...Blanc is certain they'll be just fine. Sio has proved herself to be a force of nature. Nothing will tear her down and get in the way for her love of dresses!

Being in command is never fun but Blanc had the confidence from the North Mountain raid...she knew the members could be depended on to work without strict guidelines. If only they used their common sense though. Long-ranged attackers would of course be in the back while those melee ones...well protecting the town of the Masayori Clan is of the utmost priority. Ranks are important to ensure every aspect is covered. The rules put into place were to help everyone do they part...do your part and all will be well.

The spider on top of Jade's head starts glowing green and Shadow's voice comes through.

"Commander Blanc!" Guild members run up to her in a panic.

Blanc stops them from saying anything else and just points at Jade's head. "You heard Shadow. Do your duty according to your ranks. Mess it up and I'll deal with you...later." She taps her fan a few times for emphasis.

Nods and shouts of affirmation sound out around her before the Guild members run to their allocated jobs. There was still one lingering thought in their minds.

Why did the Guildmaster's command come out from the green dragon? Didn't he have those spiders?

That would remain a mystery for a while yet.

The wall came down. Then it went up. Then it went down again...also a very suspicious person came through the rubble exclaiming loudly about some "Ultimate Secret Technique".

Blanc is stupefied at their blatant disregard for subtlety. But well they weren't a friend so she wouldn't correct them.

Also the wall seemed to be rather fickle too. It couldn't seem to make up its mind in protecting the village or letting the enemy in.

No matter, dealing with the enemy and protecting the citizens is the priority right now.

"I guess it would be pentagon right now then Blanc?" Jibs is looking towards the enemy with a rarely seen "serious look" on her face.

"Ater?" Blanc prompts.

"Don't count on me...I'll do my best...don't think it is much though...I'll bring up the rear..." Contradicting statements but the group didn't pay Ater's tone any mind. She felt...safe. That would be enough for now.

"Let's dance then Aika."

Aika nods as she readies her twin katanas. "On your command."

The pentagon group now enters the front lines. Their first target being the Tiger-kin Champion.

Blanc lets Aika lead the dance towards the axe wielding Tiger-kin. Tiger-kin is fast but arrogant, very arrogant. Seeing the group of girls coming for them. The Tiger-kin leap towards their direction and closes the gap incredibly fast.

"I wonder what they are growling about." Jibs tilts her head to the side. Elyn and Jibs are on standby a couple meters behind Blanc and Aika. Ater monitors the situation behind them in case of surprise attacks...well there weren't any, so she decided to listen into their conversation instead.

"Something rude."

"Thought so."

"Release now?"

"Hold until final strike."

"Now?"

"Now???"

"Unn!"

Just as the fan and sword dancer leap into the air for the final time to annihilate the Tiger-kin. Both mage and summoner release their spells.

Arrows and pillars of ice and fire swirl together towards the group of Tiger-kin. It hits them just as the their partners land their final strike.

Muffled screams come from the Tiger-kin mixed in with cries of agony. One voice is heard clearly above the noise snapping them out of their stupor.

"Mind the cannon!"

*BOOM!*

The Cannoner had set up their cannon in the time the girls were occupied with the champions. Nearby adventurers dive out of the way as the iron ball flies over hits the spot near them.

"Phew, that was close."

"Unn! Too close."

Around Razogul he sees the walls fall down. Interrupting his break from getting rid of the bandits.

"Oh, come on! I can't take a break at all can I!?"

One of the bandit captains comes out and grins confidently. Unsheathing his sword revealing it to be azure in color and the handle adorned with jewels. Seeing this, Razogul feels an ill feeling from it.

"So, you're the one killing all our comrades?" The bandit captain observes him, assessing his strength. "Hmm...not too shabby. I'm stronger then you are however."

Razogul only wryly smiles. Thinking in his mind "I'm limiting myself so I don't hurt the civilians!"

"So? I can still kill you...probably." He retorts to the bandit captain and a vein pops out on his head. "Oh? How will you be able to do that?"

Razogul looks behind him and sees no adventurers with him. He sighs at this, looking back at the captain.

"Yeah...however I got an ultimate technique. It is supreme and I am the most adept in it at situations like this! I only use it in emergencies, but you forced my hand!" Razogul yells this at the bandit captain and puts some strength into his legs.

"Men! Defend us at all cost from his attack!" As he says this Razogul shouts out his technique.

"Run away!!!!!" He starts running away like crazy, leaving dust in his tracks. Making a tactical retreat so he can have a little more breathing room.

The bandits are dumbfounded at this and then start boiling from anger.

"Shameless! Come back and fight you coward!" Looking at his direction, the bandits start running after him.

Razogul is being chased. Will need another adventurer to help him.

While Jin 3 Kobolds are in the port tending the civilians.
Lavri notices a man coming with civilians ...

"What wrong Lavri...?" Sanie asks while heading to the coming civilians to heal their wounds.
".......lolicon" Lavri whispered while Sanie tilted confused.
Bernard jump from the ship mast, "Oh~ I have seen that sheesh that guy is something."
Sanie, "Who?"
"That guy is raising a flag to that underage child" Bernard clicks his tongue.
".......dangerous" Lavri stated.
"Well, I wonder which is worst age gap or race difference...?" Bernard ponders.
"GEEZ YOU TWO WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!" Sanie shouted.
".............." The two male Kobold silently watch Sanie.
"What it is?" Sanie pouted.
"thank god where Kobold we have no worries about upper race problems..." Bernard pats Sanie

"What happened?" Bernard jumps to climb at the highest point of the ship. While Lavri supports Sanie from falling and then proceed to disappear somewhere.

Bernard's ears raise as he heard the voice while guarding the port. "Seems like strong enemies are incoming... Dammit, why I'm weak I could not even help in the front line" as he hit the ship post with his fist.
Sanie finishes mending the wounded and raise, "Let's go and secure the remaining civilians...."
Lavri suddenly appears in front of them ".....all the gates are destroyed and a strong bandit cultivator appeared from his strength only Rank C and above can deal with him."

"DAMMIT!!!! Incoming Bandits and a lot of them!! we have no choice!!" Bernard shouted he aimed his arrow towards the bandit, "PREPARE FOR AN ATTACK!!" he shouted hitting the bandits.

"Prepare to support us Sanie" Lavri rushed towards the bandits.
"Alright!!" Sanie prepares his chants and buffing Lavri.
"Shit there are Elephants-kin and Tiger-kin my arrows cannot penetrate their armor.

Adventurers in the port is defending against the incoming bandits.

I let out a sigh, I don't know what the bandits are thinking or what their objective is.

Are they trying to destroy this city ? For what purpose? To kill the entire adventurers' guild members ? It is understandable considering their desperate situation.

But what if it's to conquer the city ? That's a stupid move I say. Using such machine will only lead to this city's destruction.

But hey, do I need to care about the fate of this city? No, I don't.

What matters the guild kill the bandits, win this fight...no...war, it's war, and get some reward.

And I just need to lead the citizens to safe area, right? If somehow the bandits beat the guild, I will leave this city and pretend as if I have never been a part of the guild.

An old man is heading this way, and it seems he is wounded. How he got those wounds from ? I don't care.

I tried as polite as possible.

[OOC] Will be initiating the Operation Motorpool of DEATH...

Enemy counter attack, only to be expected but a bit strange how these bandits was able to find enough human and material resources to afford sieges. The fact that they are willing to continue the fight instead of cutting their losses and retreating like the usual bandits do is also suspect. This is too much for a simple raiding and whatever their reason is, they think it’s worth going against a force that was able to push them back out of the city within 24 hours. Kroenen has his suspicions but now is not the time for inquiries, the other gates are vulnerable with most of the Guild members of note concentrated here in the southern gate.

The StuG IV dozer roars as it approach the broken southern gate as Kroenen floors it to gain momentum. The tank plows through the debris and corpses littering the streets and as the bandit armies try and retake the gate and enter the city once again, what greeted them is 23-tonnes of German steel moving at the speed of 25 mph tipped with a wedge shaped bulldozer blade.

Kroenen’s dozer tank crashed through the gates and started engaging the incoming horde outside the city with the quad MG42 and squashing anyone with the tracks and the earth moving blade that was able to get closed enough. Once they’ve been whittled down enough to give him the breathing room needed he turned around and used the tank to plug the now collapsed gate, he dismounted and went outside the walls and where he took out a couple of concrete barricades and sandbags that were left over from his construction projects back in the Facility and erected them thirty meters from the gate at the farthest forming a semi-circle that terminates at the walls. Aside from slowing down the enemy’s advance these barriers provide him with enough cover while he set up other interdiction tools that will give the defenders time to regroup and brace themselves for the counter attack. Also laying a couple of Czech hedgehog that he linked together with barbed wire in order to bolster the barricades, seeing what the masked man was attempting the defenders manning the walls started lobbing arrows at the incoming enemies and started concentrating at anyone trying to go his way. The sudden surge in the defender’s effort as they attempt to buy time for Kroenen to finish his efforts was enough, after finishing the makeshift perimeter fence he decided to leave a couple of nasty surprises. Between the perimeter fence and the StuG IV that was parked to block the gate is an area covered with mines of different kinds from the Glasmine 43 that sprays glass shrapnel on anyone who activates it, stock mines which is a wooden stake embedded to the ground with a concrete head mixed with steel fragments and is filled with TNT bursting charge and the S-mine 35 which is a bounding mine that has a main body that will launch 3-5 feet into the air upon initial detonation before the main charge explodes spraying steel balls at a complete 360 degree radius.

With his job done he climb over the parked tank and take out his megaphone.

“Attention fellow guild members. I’ll be heading towards the other gates to reinforce the defenses; there will be a need for reinforcement on those areas. Anyone who wants to tag along is welcome to join up providing that the seating capacity of the vehicle is adequate.”

After making the announcement he takes out a Hanomag SdKfz 251 armored troop transport in his item box in a manner that allowed him to erect a perimeter defense in an unprecedented haste and sits on the driver seat.

“We’re mounting up, people. On the move, quickly!”

After so much work with that gate only to have it blown away with one shot was highly, extremely aggravating. If I was this irked, I could only imagine how annoyed our Guildmaster was. This was starting to become more trouble than it was worth.

Odd still was the fact that these bandits were desperate to take over the fort. Bandits were never known to be so ambitious as to do something like this. Were they hired? Even if they were, what exactly was the asking price to make this all worth it? Either that or there was something here that was worth all this bloodshed. Were the people we were protecting hiding something or were they so much a threat to this land that the powers that be want them done and gone?

I wanted a map of this foreign land. I really did. What was the strategic advantage of this clan in this section of their country? I wonder if they would allow us to peruse of a map. I highly doubted it, however. Knowledge was power for these kinds of warriors and they were currently embroiled in conflict. Maps were considered as good as gold in places like this. It was nagging at me but I pushed that thought aside for now.

When the wall had fallen in this side of the fort, I was highly concerned that my archer friend may have been hurt. However, thankfully, his side of the wall was intact but he had chosen to leave his previous post to join the fray down here. I had no idea where he was.

With our Guildmaster’s new command still fresh in my mind, I made a concentrated effort into looking for Blanc (@BlancFrost). The Southern gate area was a tight squeeze to the residential area. It was probably one of the hardest to defend right now. Blanc might know where it would be best to properly fight these bandits. I’ve been too stuck in the crowd to have clear knowledge about the goings on here.

Pushing and slashing my way through the fighting, I looked for that tell-tale sign of raven hair while killing some bandits along the way.

9/40 - Southern Gate / Wall

 

Hikari was helping around on the port again... The weird looks Hikari was getting had decreased somewhat, Hikari wondered why...

It changed though, the walls fell, rose, and fell again, there was an air of desperation on the port, people were worried about the city finally falling, worried about the adventurers not being able to hold the enemy's attacks...

And while all that happened, Hikari got more and more weird looks, Hikari didn't understand... What do they want of Hikari!?

A man stepped up and got near Hikari... Scary!

"For how long will you dilly dally here!?"

"Eh?"

"You're an A-rank adventurer aren't you? What are you doing carrying boxes of bandages if you could be fighting the enemy's troops!?"

"E-eh!? Bu-but Hikari is-"

"Is what!? Is this a show of how much this guild of yours cares for us!? They pretend to send help, but they tell their strongest members to sit around doing nothing!"

"No-no-" *cough cough cough* "that's not-"

"Then what? Are you going to say you're too sick to fight!? You can do magic can't you!? Who cares about sickness when things are like that!? There are lives at risk here!"

"Hi-Hikari can't..."

"Can't!? Why is it that you can't!? Just tell me already! Tell me that your guildmaster told you to simply stand here idly doing nothing!"

Hikari looked around, he is scary, scary! Hikari can't do it! Hikari can't go into the fray like that! Hikari can't! Somebody help Hikari!!!

But... Hikari only saw... People either looking approvingly, or... Looking away, avoiding Hikari's gaze... Why... Hikari just...

Hikari ran, Hikari was scared! Why do they expect so much of Hikari!? Hikari can't do it!

As Hikari was running, Hikari found bandits attacking the port, some adventurers were fending them off though... What should Hikari do...?

Ca-can Hikari help...? But... But Hikari doesn't know if she can attack the enemies without hurting Hikari's allies...

"Die!"

One of the tiger bandits crossed the wall and ran towards Hikari, Hi-Hikari can't-

A man appeared and blocked the bandit's attack with a sword, killing the bandit afterwards... I-it's the same one that was scaring Hikari...

"If you're not going to help, then get out of the way! This is a combat zone!"

"Hi-Hikari-" *cough cough cough cough* "is sorry!"

Hikari crawled away until she was far enough from the wall... The-there ought to be something... Something Hikari can do...

Hikari rummaged through her bag... looking to see if there was any offering she could use in it... Fur...? Hikari doesn't remember getting any... Maybe it fell from Fenrir-sama back then? But Hikari didn't study about Fenrir-sama yet, Hikari doesn't know how to make a proper chant... But Hikari doesn't have anything easily available now, Hikari didn't even have the time to restock the sweets for Yukari-sama yet... Then... Should Hikari just say what Hikari wants?

It's worth a shot... *deep breath*

"God of ice, hear Hikari's call. ((A huge wave of freezing winds froze most of the bandits that were nearest to the gate on the Port, there are probably more out there, but the majority should've been dealt with.

The freezing winds came only for a few seconds though, it's not a lasting effect.

- Yoru's PoV -

While on the way to the southern gates to meet up with Kynn and the others. A terrible event happened...

*BOOM!*

He heard a loud boom and was startled, he then jumped to the rooftop of a building to check what is happening. What he saw gave him the chills down his spine...

The wall, it got destroyed and numerous bandits are flooding in?! It's near the port too! The civilians!

He then rushed to where the gap in the wall was made.

- Broken wall in the north -

Somewhere near the port at the North, numerous bandits are flooding in from a broken wall that was hit by a cannon.

(Bandit Giant) - "THE WALL IS DESTROYED! HEAD TO THE PORT!"
(Bandits) -"Yeah!!!!!!" *Heading to the port*

The leading bandit, satisfied at the answers of the grunts starts heading there slowly, but suddenly, he felt a sense of dread with a mix of despair. Sweating, he then felt a presence at his back and immediately punched behind him.

- Yoru's PoV -

Hiding at the roof of a house. He stayed there and observed the bandits silently.

".........."
That big guy looks strong..... I better assasinate him but the chances are low... I can't wait for the others to come they are on the south. If I waited too long, they might get in the port. I need to hold that guy for a bit! It's now or never!

He then used his skill "THRILL OF THE HUNT!" And deemed the big guy as his prey boosting his stats. He turned back to his beastform and slowly approached the bandit Giant.

When he got to the back of the bandit, he immediately pounced towards the big guy while activating his skill "Empowered Savagery" to boost his first attack damage by 200% for 4 seconds. But, the Bandit Giant felt his presence and immediately punched towards the direction where Yoru is, hitting him and sending him flying away to a wall crashing right through it.

*CRASH!*

(Yoru) - "Kahak!" *coughs out blood*
That f*cking hurts! I failed?! What the hell?! His big body is not just for show!

(Bandit Giant) - "Hahahaha! Puny Cat! Attempting to kill me eh? Well, congatulations! You failed! Hahaha!"

Yoru slowly stands up and gets out of the building that he crashed into. He then glares at the bandit menacingly and

(Yoru) - ".........." *wipes the blood from the corner of his mouth*

(Bandit Giant) - "What? Cat got your tongue? Hahahaha!"
(Bandits) - *Mockingly laugh at him*
(Yoru) - "I'M GONNA F*CKING KILL YOU ALL! ROAAARRR!!"
(Bandits) - "!!!!!!!!"

He used his skill "Battle Roar". It healed him for a small amount of health at the same time, inflicted fear to the enemies.
He then engaged them, battling for his life.

A strong tremor occurs shaking the ground...

'Dammit, what is happening!' Jin Soju thought and was shocked when he sees the gates broken.
"Oh no! the gates are...!" Presia shouted hugging Flyx Fluff as her face full of horror.

Jin Soju suddenly heard an order of retreat from the guild master. He quickly wrote something in the air [Let's retreat high-level enemies are coming it's dangerous!!]

'Kroenen!!!' Jin Soju shouted but no voice comes out. He runs toward the armored troop transport where Kroeken is, as Presia and Flyx Fluff follows.

'Damn being is voiceless is troublesome, Kroenen is here so I'm safe from Raijuukitty' Jin Soju quickly chants dispel in his mind to be able to speak.

"Well do our best to assist," Presia said bowing amazed at the large vehicle.
"I could use my song as a support" Flyx Fluff said raising his her violin"

As Kroenen let them ride, Presia went inside while Jin Soju stand on top the vehicle
Flyx Fluff sits on top of the vehicle and starts to play a melody with his violin fitting for the march.
