Name: The First Hunter Raw Link: http://mm.munpia.com/?menu=novel&id=72663 NU Link: http://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-first-hunter/ Why It Should Get Picked Up: One of my personal favorite kr novels. Has a mature, cold, smart, strong protagonist who was formerly an ace assassin/solider/lone wolf, but now has designs for conquest so he can survive the apocalypse, and has psychic powers in his world's apocalypse/game element setting (game element is very mild, no calculated damage value or level ups). Its a great story, but didn't fit the taste of its last translator so it had been unofficial dropped/claimed to just be slowing down release speeds. Translator has just announced he or she will be quiting, so its now officially dropped along with The World After the Fall (I believe this to be the case since they said they were slowing down this to work on The World After the Fall, so I belive they are the same person. They post the two works on different sites, so its confusing). Anyone looking to expand their kr novels popularity should consider picking this up Description: This is the story of Kim Tae-Hoon, one of the first hunters to rise during an era when monsters first started to appear.
I mean, honestly it sounds like every other korean "hunter" novel. This type of novel is to the koreans what xianxa is to the chinese.
I added this to my reading list recently. It's a shame it's been dropped already. Hopefully it gets picked up quickly~
How many are there. If they are lik TFH, tell me! Anyways, I find their descriptions of fights and the plight of the mc very interesting and original.
Please find me one that doesn't have an apocalypse or game elements (cheat system counts as game elements to me)
+1 Life Mission Evolution Theory of Hunter A Monster That Level Up Dungeon Defense they're quite similar and at the same time not
+1 Just a sidenote but if anyone wants to know this was written by the author of emperor of solo play.
He quit the translation scene because a few people kept complaining about the novels. He was also doing The World After the Fall too and in the last post says as much.
To clarify, I quit because it was a time consuming process, upwards of up to 8 hours for a single chapter and the work was stressful to an extent. I was going to start school in a week or so, and I couldn't afford the time sink that was translating, especially since my grasp of the Korean language was fairly flimsy. The rant was something I wanted to get off my chest since I was quitting. It's not good professional practice to have done so, which is why most translators will never do so, but since I was going to quit anyways, I took the plunge.
New Chapter out I decided against splitting the chapter as it will just create extra work for me. Well getting a new donor helped in that decision lol https://www.asianhobbyist.com/first-hunter-70/
