Conspiracy? Well... Corporation lobby is a thing in many countries. Even US was mocked by its anti-fan since US Democracy was held in rein by corporate lobbying. Most people still remember how UFC lobbied America to coup Guatemala, how tobacco company lobbied the government, how Oil company lobbied the government, how Disney lobbied the government, etc.... Can't blame US though. It was inherent in their system, for good or bad... In tother country too, I believe corporations held great sway in the government. After all, money speaks louder...
