use a word that has a deep meaning for you as a password will make it less forgetable, it works for me

I try to use the same letters for most of my passwords but just have number variations.

You can have a very easy to remember password like:
    Ikeepforgettingthisfuckingpassword4

    or

    mywordpresspasswordisaverystupidpassword6

It isn't completely necessary to add special characters really... A brute force attack will have to go through it all anyway... the longer it is the more problematic it is to kinda figure out... If your not very comfortable with that, you can add something unique to you that only you know in the password and nobody else would know...

    Inamedmydogsparkycauseheateasparkplug5
I named my dog sparky cause he ate a spark plug

So you add in something that only you would know for sure... Like you might send e-mails about your dog sparky, so they would kinda easily pick up information like that, but it is very hard to know something like why you named him that if there was a background to it that wouldn't be normally discussed or you pretty much wouldn't bother telling someone... They would have to be amazingly lucky... Or they would have to know you VERY well...

The numbers I just add to pad it and extend it further. This adds to malicious users having to guess that number along with the other character part of the password. This is also done to conform with some obsolete standards that ask for it...
