http://www.rfa.org/english/news/uyg...-barcodes-on-their-knives-10112017143950.html China seems to demand that you bar code your knives and cutlery and pay 3 yuan each or you hand them over to police. Apparently it is supposed to link eventual crime tool to owner. Seems like minority suppresion to me or just control obsession. Yes religion seems to play a part. What s your thought?
Stupidest idea. Unless thier are only 1m of them then ok but if its nearly hundreads of millions its nothing more of a communist idea of crowd funding. Plus its seems like nothing more than another way to get money into thier pockets
I believe the article said 10m and it was aimed towards the muslim populations of China to prevent terror. Not that I agree with this practice. Most likely it is just a way to get money.
that sounds like a ridiculous way to get tax money. what next? cooking tax where every family must pay for every meal they cook by self?
Stupid, like gun control in America but stupider. They're knives, criminals already carry illegal firearms and you can just sharpen some piece of metal or use a screwdriver if you want to stab or rob someone. It won't change a thing when it comes to impulsive murders. They're just creating additional hassle for law abiding citizens. This just might be their attempt to increase governmental jobs or slowly ramp up the state's regulations
I don't quite get it though... As long as you don't leave your knife behind it'll be fine right? Since if they don't have the knife, they won't be able to scan it and stuff...
For communist Religion is like Narcotics... So yes they crack every religion.. Not even Falun gong is safe.. They killing thousand if not million and sell their organ.. So yeah.. What they do to moslem and christians is tame than what they do to Falun Gong
That is no longer as it sounds, now its called two-child policy and is not mandated by law but highly encouraged, to have two children as a limit.
anti Ughyur move. You know that China doesn't really allow diversity. Their diversity is just a farce. However, I'm sure you DO already know about it, no?
I don't get this. A 10 digit numeric code would surely cover every knife a manufacturer is likely to ever produce. If you actually need more series codes (that's what bar codes are), you can always increase the number of digits. Surely, there is no practical constraint on this policy, and it's not like it would add much cost to laser etch a bar code to a knife either.
