as the title says is the blue phoenix worth reading. I have never bothered to read it myself but was on WW and saw how many chapters it has so was wondering as Novel updates my main source of reviews on novels to read can't have reviews what do people think?
It has an interesting concept. This novel is really good. However, there are still some room for improvements, but for the first book it’s great. The characters are very engaging, just like the story although the romance is kinda annoying but it ia fixed. I did find the cultivation levels and powers a bit confusing though.
Search the threads, there's a thread with the same question and some discussion, along with the actual writer commenting. ^_^ She'll take any criticism.
I have been reading it chapter by chapter since the 2nd book, it has always been a nice read, and I have always been looking forward to the next chapter. I am a bit sad that she is starting the 8th book, it is the last one.
My only real complaints with blue phoenix is the never ending parade of grandpa Doehring characters throughout the story that hold mc's hand every time it's needed. (This mostly takes the form of providing information, and explaining things)
There are other threads too like http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/blue-phoenix-is-this-good.8893/#post-330533 http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/how-is-blue-phoenix.45179/ Lol you had the exact same comment in this thread.
it is too fairy tale themed for me, i did like that city fight arc but the rest just feels too mild and whimsical, i cant really get into it when the setting feels so small and pretend.
Though some complaints are valid I have been reading it from the start and enjoy following it. As an original novel I'm sure that those who read them know that they will surely have imperfections and in truth a lot of originals I have read were dropped or abandoned. I find blue phoenix enjoyable and above all else I respect the author who has shown his dedication to his work just like the translators who give us quality and regular chapters. I read a lot of cn and always found myself with nothing to read so having a novel like this that could help fill the part of the void is always appreciated. As for any flaws or complaints honestly I could name many for true cn novels as well as other originals but why should I? I read fantasy novels to leave reality and enter a world where everyone court's death. If I find the novel unfit thing I just don't read it simple as that. But I won't dishearten the ones who try to invite us to enter their fantasy originals or those who work hard to translate the novels we already know and love
