The warning signs were very obvious, but while Mu Gang was busy trying to reaffirm his place in the sect, with his fists if necessary, Mang Aoxing had begun to investigate alternate options.

The Mang family were named after the city they lived in, which was the fief of a prince their ancestors had once sworn loyalty to.

Mang Aoxing had gained his position in the sect partly because his family was well respected, wealthy and of 'good' bloodlines which had served the empire.

It wasn't prestigious enough to be noted in other provinces but it was a pretty big deal in his home city.

Big enough of a deal that they could probably ask for Qing Jing to have sent Aoxing back on his own and pay a ransom to make it so. The family in question wasn't happy with him for the sudden loss of face on his end and theirs by extension but they were glad he had been sent back and that he was alive and healthy at all.

Now that the sect had no use for him because of their loss of face- a loss of face the Mang family was sure was their own fault, obviously, Aoxing would never have done any such thing on his own- the Mang family insisted on withdrawing him from the sect in question.

With the odium he was covered in, the sect didn't care to extend their resources or efforts to keep him.

In the end, he left the sect and took Hau Lang and everything else he owned, with him.

Well, everything the sect couldn't claim was theirs, that is. That meant every single artifact and item for cultivation boosting was taken from him unless he had purchased it with his family's own money and not gotten it from the sect.

Having parted ways, naturally he had no more reason to look back. He returned home and put his effort into strengthening the Mang family instead.

Lips, cheeks, jawline, the elegant lines of Yue Qingyuan's neck and collarbone, his shoulders then his chest, particularly his nipples, the muscles of his sculpted abdomen, his sides and back, the dip of his navel, his mermaid line, the inner thighs and long legs... all these Qingqiu lavished attention on hungrily as the pleasure dazed sect master opened his legs wider to give him more access.
