Due to to guild just opening, the place was crowded, and I only managed to get myself to register..

As of now, the people evidently thinned out... Most likely doing their respective quests.

On the rank E quest board, one quest took my attention;

With my skills, I could manage this quest... although if I do this alone, the scope of scouting is limited. I need to cooperate with others...sigh

I gave up the idea and took the quest alone.... for the moment.

Where the rumors originated is questionable, but it always have a bit of truth that cannot be neglected.

-new rules, each person can only take one quest per day

--- Slay 10 goblin (maximum rewards, 5 adventurer points)
monster detail: goblin are ugly and vicious creatures, known for their savageness and wild nature.
quest detail: recently the goblins are plundering in the nearby village. please slay them and brings back their ears as a proof.

--- Gather 20 healing grass (maximum rewards, 5 adventurer points)
plant details: healing grass looked similar to normal grass on the side of the road, the only discerning point is a faint sweet smell they emitted
quest detail: collect 20 healing grass and deliver it to the alchemist shop in the town, bring back a stamp from the shop as as a proof

--- Scout the orc camp (maximum rewards, 10 adventurer points)
quest requirements: need to have scouting related skill / party member
quest detail: there is a rumor that an orc army is going to invade the village, please scout to the village outskirts and confirm whether it was true or not. the details about the size of the army is needed if the rumor was true.

--- escort party (maximum rewards, 10 adventurer points)
quest detail: a merchant caravan will be travelling to another town, however a bandit has been spotted in the nearby vicinity and the chance of the caravan to be attacked is 99.99% so they will need some protection and battle with the bandit party will be inevitable. what adventurer's need to watch out is the bandit boss, "Galan" , a former E rank adventurer, thief class, has a vast knowledge about traps and poison.

After registering for the guild, I immediately head to the quest board and looked at the available E ranked quests....hmm, slay 10 goblins and bring back their ears as proof? I can do that. I grabbed a copy of the request and left the guild. Heading towards the forest, I chanced upon a small party of fifteen goblins eating beside a large tent. Hiding behind some trees, I observed them until nightfall. Seeing the goblins all asleep, I decided it was time to attack.

I grabbed my Ghost mask and put it on. Within a few seconds, I transformed into a ghost. Slowly, I drift towards the nearest goblin. I reached my hand out and phased through the goblin. Immediately, the goblin's eyes flew open and a look of utter horror appeared on his face. And then he died without a chance to alert the others...more specifically, I phased his heart out and he dies quickly. Next, I moved on to the next one until I have successfully killed all fifteen goblins.

Collecting the ears of 10 of the goblins, I prepared to head back but then I realized...all fifteen goblins were sleeping outside! Then...who or what is in the tent? Curiosity got the hold of me and I proceeded to venture towards the tent. Opening the flap of the entrance, I see...a large orc!

So it seems that the orcs and goblins are tied together! No wonder the goblins are attacking villages...this was all instigated by orcs! Could this mean that orcs are really planning to attack the nearby village? I must inform the guild even though it probably won't earn me the scouting request reward but as an adventurer, this is my duty. Before I leave to inform the guild, I restrained the orc and removed my Ghost mask. The orc woke up but could not escape the restraints. Squealing in anger and panic, it looked at me as if to say "What are you gonna do to me?!?" I looked at the orc and grinned a evil grin. Taking out my skinning knife, I walked towards the struggling orc.

You guessed it! I needed a new mask. Now to make a mask, the face skin of the creature is needed. And it has to be fresh...as in the skin must be removed while the prey is still alive. Some people may say that this is inhumane...but this is necessary in order to retain the abilities of the prey. After skinning the orc, I immediately dried and preserved the skin and placed it in my bag so I can work on the new mask at home. Then, I slit the pig bastard's throat.

Leaving the forest, I quickly made my way back to the guild and presented my loot as well as notify the guild that the goblin attacks were instigated by orcs. Afterwards, I stood there waiting for my rewards....

 

Quest- Escort Party
Walking into the guild this morning, I check the notice board and decide to take the escort quest, I am advised to party up for this quest but my wolf is all i need. I meet up with the Merchant and his apprentices outside and we begin our journey.
As we journey along the trail I ride my wolf (Fang) behind the merchants wagon, I'm taking it easy because though I've been told that there's a 99.99% chance of encountering bandits that means there's a 0.01% chance of getting through unnoticed and I am very confident in my luck.
The merchant tells me stories of his youth about how he used to be an adventurer like me but had to retire early due to arrow he took to the knee. Luckily the one of the merchants apprentices happened to know a shortcut along way and we should arrive at our destination within the hour.
Things are going very peacefully, a little too peaceful, i suddenly realize that we haven't run into any other travelers for a while suddenly Fang begins to growl and before i realize it we are surround by about 20-30 people. No way how did this happen suddenly the merchant is thrown out of his wagon, it seems of one of his apprentices has been murdered. Then the other apprentice who suggested the shortcut steps of the wagon with a devilish grin on his face. The merchant, Fang and I are captured by bandits, the apprentice then reveals himself to actual be Galan, Dammit I should have gotten his picture at the guild i foolish trusted him and led us into this trap, I betted our safety on 0.01% chance, this is probably why the guild refuses to pay me in actual money, but even if we are captured I can still work with this situation as per my orders fang begins to struggle and howl at insane volume at bandits fearing the loud howling would attract unwanted attention proceed to attack him, What they don't realize is that Fang is a demon wolf summoned from my shadow even if he if killed I can easily summon him again.
Taking the Bandits by surprise Fang reemerges from my shadow breaks my bindings and begins to rip apart bandit after bandit, i then set free the merchant who with his skill as a past adventurer is able hold off the small fry while I engage Galan. Armed with my twin daggers I am able to defeat him but pierces me with his blade the wound is not fatal but alas it seems blade was poisoned. The merchant holds me his arms as my vision becomes blurry, am I really going to die in arms of some old dude dam this world I think as my consciousness drifts away to a sweet scent.
Later I wake up in the merchants wagon wondering how I survived thing merchant tells me that luckily there happened to be a field of healing grass nearby. The merchant seems to have basic compounding knowledge (It seems his father was an alchemist). I finish escorting the merchant then head back to town on Fang.
I walk into and turn in the escort quest before sitting down for some dinner. All in all and exciting day.

 

Well, since the D ranked quest is not out yet might as well do something right...

Spoiler: QUEST: Gather 10x moonlight flower (E rank)

after registering in the adventurers guild, it was afternoon there are less people in the guild and is very peaceful, I stand in front of the Quest board muttering to myself on which quest should I get.
there are 3 quest left on the board.

--- Gather 10x moonlight flower (E rank) maximum rewards 5 adventurer point
--- Slay 20x Wandering Lizzard (E rank) maximum rewards 5 adventurer point
--- Bring me 1 Ice Crystal (E rank) maximum rewards 10 adventurer point

Han:"hm.. which quest should I get? I just finished my apprenticeship to my master and have no real combat experience except for sparring with co-apprentices and teachers."
still contemplating which to get. I try to analyze the quest posted

Han: " this one is gathering seems easy enough but i don't know much about plants. these one is to kill wandering lizard never fought those so i need more details. this one is also gathering but this is a much more rare item Ice crystal."

after analyzing the quest. I found out that i lack much information about the items or monster that is request in the guild.thinking about this i remember that the receptionist said that if i have any question i should ask her.

so i went to the guild counter and ask the receptionist.

Receptionist: "Hi Newbie! how may I help you?"

I feel a little bit depressed when she called me newbie so I introduced my self.

Han: "Uhm.. my name is Han and I wish to ask where can I get information about the three E rank quest on board?"
Receptionist: "Oh! We have books about the different information about herbs, monsters and materials. since you are new here i can let you borrow the books for free but you need to buy or rent them next time."
Han: "Thank you uhm.... "
Receptionist:"Oh! i haven't given my name. My name is Cara nice to meet you Han."
Han: "Nice to meet you Cara. so where can i read the books?
Cara(Receptionist): "here are the books this one is for monster, this is for herbs and this is for other materials like minerals etc., you can read them only inside the adventurers guild just pick any table you want. and oh please sign here so we can track the book after you finished reading just just let me know and i will let you sign out the books"
Han: "Thanks."

after picking a table i read the books about the quest I can take. after reaing i learned that.
the moonlight flower is found in the eastern forest hills and is not really dangerous with only wild beast around but even if they are just wild beast it is still better to be careful and ready.
the Wandering Lizard is found on the southern area swamp which are monster not necessary stronger than wild beast
the Ice Crystal is found in the northern mountains a top of each mountain but the place is full of ice monster which is roaming around and is as strong as Wandering lizard but because of the location they are at advantage over terrain. and since I have no equipment for that terrain better avoid that quest.

so my only choice is moonlight flower for now since i can fight basic beast there and train my self for fighting monster and I can also earn quest rewards.

I return the books to Cara and sign out. after that i picked up the quest 10 moonlight flower which can be submitted before guild is closed.
Han: "I would like to take this quest"
Cara: "I see then sign here and this is your token so you don't need to pay fee to the entrance guard. don't lose it, okay.Good Luck"
Han: "Yes. Thank you"

I immediately go to the eastern forest and try to look for beast for food supply and training to fight with the skill i learned from master.
I roam around and saw a wild boar.the boar and i made an eye contact and i observed the enemy. it charges towards me without hesitation so i used flash step and use simple electric strike. flash steps allow me to move quickly from one point to another with lightning fast speed. electric strike works by assimilating electricity to my Shield-Claw-Gun(SCG) or my claw boots on the claw parts and punch or kick it through the enemy.I used my SCG caused it have longer claw so it can penetrate more to the boar skin.
after i hit in the back it collapsed and died from electric shock.

Han: "That was easier than i thought it would be."

I dig a hole and drained the boar blood there and after i covered it with soil then i dismantle the boar.
i felt hungry so i go near the hill where the moonlight flower is grown grilled some of the boar meet by cleaning it near the river and spreading salt i started a small bonfire and have a barbecue using the salted boar meat.

Han: "Not bad I might hunt for boar regularly if this is this delicious with just this salt :9."

after eating i await there till night time. there are no monster near the hill so it was quite safe.
night came.

Han: "Oh! it seems time to collect some moonlight flowers since the moon is up and all"

I climbed the hill and looked for moonlight flower as i remembered the description and easily saw many of them
i quickly dig for the flowers and put them on the box in my bag.

Han: "hah. digging this flowers is harder than fighting the boar. This flower is much more delicate than the boar and needs to handle carefully or it will ruin the plant. (sigh).. if i only i knew it earlier that it will be like this i should have just chosen to kill lizards. well no regretting now."

after a few hours of digging i got to the town i showed the token and guild card to the entrance guard and straight to the guild.
I walked to the counter.

Han: "Hi Cara! I would like to turn in the 10 moonlight flower quest".
Cara: "Oh you finished already. give the flowers.. uhn. okay ten moonlight flowers is received. please sign here and here is you reward."
Han: "thank you very much"
I definitely will be taking those Wandering lizards tomorrow
