I went to the first to gather the herbs, I saw some easy-kill monsters (ie. Slimes) when searching for the herbs. When I found the herbs, there were three goblins there, since two were asleep,I sneaked up to the other goblin then quietly assassinated it, then assassinated them as well. I gathered proof of their subjugation for my next quest because I saw a quest about subjugating them. I got the herbs then returned to the guild to turn in the quest.

 

Is this how works?

Quest detail: now the alchemy shop is in need of these two plants, since two days in a row we keep farming them near the town, now there are no moonlight flower and healing plants nearby. Proceed deeper in the forest but watch out for monster attack.

Story: I stopped in front of the entrance to the deep dark forest. "Ah, I'm really don't want to go pick some plants and flowers, I just want to lay down and take a nap." I sighed and then slowly trudged into the forest.

Walking for a while, I gradually started to become annoyed. There were no moonlight flowers or any healing plants near by. "Hah, if I knew it would be this troublesome I wouldn't have accepted this Quest." Suddenly I heard a snap, I turned to find out where the sound had came from. I spotted a little white rabbit. The rabbit had a Moonlight flower in its mouth. I transformed into a bunny and then hopped over to the rabbit.

I smiled at the rabbit, "Hiyas! Would you mind telling me where all the Moonlight flowers, and Healing Plants are?"

The rabbit stared at me suspiciously, "I don't know you, why should I?"

I blinked,"Um...um...I'll give you my carrot."

"Ha! Like I'll tell you with only one measly carro-"

"Five carrots then?"

"...Yea, ok deal."

I handed the carrot to the rabbit slowly, *Ah, my beloved carrots, I wish you the best of luck*

The rabbit grabbed all five of the carrots and started chomping on them. "Cmon follow me." He started hopping while eating the carrots.

The rabbit lead me to big cave, I peered into the cave.

"Um, we're suppose to go through there?" I asked

"Uh huh, Cmon I don't have all day." The rabbit took one last chomp of the carrot and hopped into the cave.

"Ahh, this is so troublesome," I muttered and then went to follow.

We hopped for a little while until we saw a light in the dark cave. What was in front of us was a sight to behold. There was a huge hole in the middle of the ceiling of the cave, with light shining down on some Moonlight Flowers. Around the flowers were hundreds of Healing plants, growing magnificently.

"Waaa, t-this is beautiful." I exclaimed, turning to rabbit, "Thanks so much Rabbit-san"

"Hmph, well I guess it is pretty, now if you'll excuse me, I need to find something else to eat. I trust that you will be able to find your way back?"

I nodded, "Thanks."

The rabbit turned and hopped out of the cave leaving me alone. I transformed back into my human form and started to pick the plants. I gently picked up a Moonlight flower and set it in my Space Storage. After I picked five Moonlight Flowers, I turned to get some healing plants.
After I picked the necessary amount of plants needed for my mission, I started to head back to the guild. *Ah, I can't wait to eat some popcorn while enjoying some of the drama happening in the guild.*

Psyx mutters to herself as she stands in front of the Guild's Quest Board. Which one of these quests is the least troublesome? Catching chickens would be very easy...but what would I do with the eggs? I'm too tired to go after monster quests...Okay, I'll just do the gathering quest. I need new potion recipes anyway.

She takes the daily quest and heads out of the town alone just as the sun sets, right when most of the adventurers are heading back to their homes, to the taverns, inns, and other dwellings along with their companions. Just before entering the forest, she takes out a vial of dark liquid and pours it on the ground. She mumbles a spell and the wisp of a shadow rises from the crack on the ground, slowly turning into a small, dark, shadow-insect that flutters its wings and flies off ahead. Psyx follows.

The forest is eerie and ominous, the howls and cries of monsters louder in the darkness with only the rustling of leaves, the gurgling of a nearby stream, and the faint sounds made by insects to compete with. It is a cold night, and she tightens the cloak wrapped around her. Every now and then she pauses to grab a few plants along the way with a deft hand: nimbly snatching a herb here, pulling a weed in one stroke there. Deeper and deeper into the forest they go, until they reach a cave where flowers shining like the moonlight lie in abundance within. The shadow-insect vanishes upon completing its task.

Psyx takes twenty flowers and puts them inside her knapsack, then looks around for more plants she can use in the future. She only leaves when her bag is nearly bursting, following the same trail she took before.

It is already dawn when she gets back to the Guild and reports the success of her quest.

Ah, got scolded...well, not exactly scolded. Just been told that the goblin ears are...a bit too well done, hehehe. But they still count. I guess I'll try to avoid burning too much. Maybe use something else except explosive? Yeah! That's not such a bad idea. I mean, I've got all those "experimental stuff" that I just made the other day. This will be good! Hehehe!
"Oh, what's this?"
I noticed one particular job that is posted on the job board. It is about the orc invasion. Okay, that is not such a strange sight since the news of their invasion has been informed yesterday. What made me caught my attention is due to the fact that some of my fellow adventurer has reported that the orc is much more organized that we thought to the extent of having the cooperation of the goblins. To add to that, the job next to it is about hob goblin. This is getting more and more suspicious.
"Might as well take this."
I then take the "stop the orc invasion" job on the board. If I can satisfy my own curiosity while doing my job, isn't that the best?

"*huff!"
After exiting the forest, I finally got on top of the large cliff. Note to myself, I got to build a flying spider or some speedy spider so I can get to my destination faster. Traveling by foot with this much ammunition and tools is very tiring! Even with the help of my clockwork skeleton, it is still tiring.
I quickly pulled out my spyglass. And, what a surprise, I quickly find my target! Those are the orc main camp...or is it? I don't see anything special about it. It's not as big as they reported. This is strange. Maybe it is an outpost or something?
"Hmm? What's this?"
My eyes fell onto the sight of a group of orc and, yes, you guess it, goblin and hob goblin. And they are escorting a group of human. Well, I guess dragging is the correct term since they all are tied with a long rope and forced to walk behind them. Ugh, don't tell me, they managed to capture some of the villager again? And are they forced to pull carts? The situation is getting more and more dangerous.
Okay, what's the plan? They will take some time to get to that particular camp since they are moving in a slow pace. And they also have to travel in a very dangerous rocky area. This is good since that will gave me more than enough time to prepare my strategy. But what makes it difficult is that I have to consider the prisoners' safety. The last thing I want is to get innocent people killed.
So, let start the calculation. I can use those...the width is...and the height is...okay, okay. Then how many are they? Hmm...5 orcs...3 hob goblins...and 5 goblins. That is difficult, but doable I suppose. Then what should I use? I can't use explosives since this might injure the prisoner, then I should use...ah! Time for my new inventions!

The sound of them marching could be heard even from my position. I hid myself and looked at them from far after setting up my trap. Don't worry, they are the non-explosive ones. I pulled out my loaded crossbow that has been loaded with my special bolt and started the countdown.
"5...4...3...2...1...0!"
Just as the count reached zero, my contraption sprang into actions. What contraption, you may ask? Well, they are what I called blade antlion. They all jumped from underground and make their blades spin, slashing everything in sight and then return underground and deactivated themselves.
The antlions managed to do their job wonderfully judging from the agonizing scream that came from the orcs that are in the front. Although they failed to kill 3 of them, they managed to chop off their legs, crippling them for good. Well, from 5 that I set up, only 1 of them failed to get anyone.
"3...2...1...0!"
Another 5 of my trap sprang into action. They are the saw spider that run with incredible speed and then hop onto the first target it found. In this case, the 3 fallen orcs and 2 hob goblins. They all died leaving a gruesome sight as their body has been cut in multiple places. Effective, yet gruesome. That is one of the reason I don't really like using them.
"Okay, time to get in."
I pulled the lever of the clockwork skeleton and it propelled me right onto the front of the panicking group of monster. The last hob goblin noticed me and I quickly pull the trigger on the crossbow, releasing my special bolt. Due to the close distance, I didn't miss and the bolt landed right onto the hob goblin's muscular chest. It didn't stop him and he just grinned at me, showing me his sharp teeth. I smiled back and then I snap my finger.
The moment I did that, the grin on his face is gone completely. The sound of the bolt started drilling inside his body and wrecked it from the inside is music to my ear. The hob goblin shivered terribly and then plopped down, leaving a body that started bleeding from various places.
Seeing the carnage that I have done, the remaining goblins rushed toward me. Somehow I am surprised how they are able to keep fighting against someone that is clearly stronger than them. Well, I am not that strong. But I was hoping that I can at least scare them off and avoid any unnecessary battle. Sadly, that is not the case for me. Oh well.
I then put my crossbow on my back and then pulled two ready to deploy saw spiders. The spider jumped onto 2 of them and managed to saw their head in half. Then they jumped onto the other 2, doing the same quick work in carving the poor creatures. With the sight of his 4 comrades killed in such a gruesome act, the last one petrified in place. Either he already felt that it is hopeless or he is broken due to the sheer gruesome sight, I don't know. All I know is that his body has been cut up by the two spiders before they finally stopped functioning.
With the whole group has been annihilated, I looked at the prisoners in the back. They are all looking at me with fear. I let out a sigh as I realized I might have overdone it. I then walked toward them.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you."
The girl that is nearest to me flinched when I wanted to cut the rope. She closed her eyes and it somehow made me realized that they might have more scared of me than to their previous captors. I let out a sigh again after that. Well, this is the battlefield, right? This is something that happened quite regularly.
After a few moments, I finished cutting their rope and then asking them what happened. Apparently they are a group of hunter and berry picker that has been unfortunate enough to be caught by a leaving raiding orc party. About 5 of them have been killed while trying to escape, leaving only a 7 of them. Among 7 of them, about 5 of them are female. Among those 5 female, 3 of them are still very young. It made me shivered at the thought of what would happen to them if they reached the orc camp. I'm glad that I can help them just in time.
I asked them what's in the carts and they all told me that they are weapons and foodstuff that they orcs looted from the surrounding villages. So this is a supply train, right? Hahahaha! Talk about luck! Not only I managed to save some villagers, I managed to somehow lessen their supply. It is sad that I can't loot any of them but this is for the best. I then asked them about any info that they know about the orcs. Unfortunately they don't know much.
"Stay behind me and I'll walk you back to the city."
They all nodded and some of them have even cried in relief. I'm glad that they trusted me.
"Oh, I need to collect my equipment first."
But then they all flinched at the mention of my equipment and some of them backed away from me. I guess I'm not that trusted. Figures.
Might as well scout the surrounding area and blow up any orcs, goblins, or hob goblin I can found. No, it is not because I'm sad. I assure you.

As I got out of the guild building after finished giving my report to the receptionist @Cryotic, I felt quite relieved that I could help at least some of the villager. I even asked the guild that if some of them has nowhere to go, I am willing to take at least some of them as my assistant since I might build a big contraption that require a few people to operate. Well, that is in the far future so I don't really mind if my request is declined or anything.

from the rumors goblin have green skin and ugly face but what this hobgoblin things..
sneaking around between the trees i spotted some bulky goblin with an ugly face and green skin..
"is that hob goblin?"
it not notice my presence yet..maybe between us having some distance make it not notice about it...it not look like i have scout related skill or somethings.
people said the goblin same as the C*roch things easy to breed and show in group or some big numbers
when they have a leader..
the hob goblin is not the only one who show up, around it have around 20 goblin with a couple of orc..
wait.... is this quest related to that orc invasion things? it could be....though
sigh..this quest already take some of my spirit for a woman fighting against goblin and orc plus this new breed said having a stronger and faster fighting style, i need to file a complain at the guild later...
after strolling around a little bit I found some lone hobgoblin walking around.
maybe the newly breed goblin usually strolling alone?, if that the case then i can do these quest solo.
Did not want for it to notice my presence, I take an Iai stance with the recently rein-forge katana in my hands
I make a surprise attack by running behind it, chop the hobgoblin head and retreat for a bit not letting the blood got into me.
oh and not forget to take the ears for proof of subjugate.
having wait for a while at some of the tree shadows.. waiting if that fighting earlier attract some unwanted goblin because it not like i can fight multiple enemy with my light armor..
it look like there is no any monster or goblin coming around, then i continue ahead.
walking for a while in that forest i saw some Orc and group of goblin..
emmmm.. which quest did i take again?
is it related quest for hobgoblin and orc invasion? also need to report this later to the guild..
did not want fighting orc and goblin together with their big in number I surely get killed if I attack it.
After continue for a bit.. I saw some of the hobgoblin but this time they not alone. Around it three goblin are present together..
This make the quest complicated.. well to complete the quest I need to kill it.
After ensure there is no other monster presence I begin my attack.
Taking a lower stance of Iai, I plunge for the nearest hobgoblin and cut his hand then I make a rotation and cut the head of stunned second hobgoblin.
After taking some distance I attack the hobgoblin that hand has been cut.
The hobgoblin swing his other hand to attack me but miss and punch one of the tree behind me ... indeed they are stronger because the tree that he punch leave some marks there.
Not leaving the chance for it to attack once more i cut his other hand and stab his head..
The other goblin afraid to enter the fight after saw the hobgoblin get killed and want to run away.
It not like i want they run away though, so I quickly run after them and slay those three goblin.
so these make three hobgoblin that i kill..need two more.
Looking at the sun that above head, it already afternoon huh and my quest is not done yet..
Quickly search for last two hobgoblin and kill it with some goblin in the place and take the ears of goblin, I go back to town and enter the guilds.

It seemed fun and besides Mimi was bored, so…
Mimi first went check the guild board and there was quite a number of quests on there~
So Mimi went for the most expensive one~
Killing orcs and 10 points~
Here we go~

Then Mimi left guild tavern and headed for the record hall, it seems someone scouted the area, hmmm… so here goes the details~

So according to @Rivenn's reports these orc seems to have gone nutts… poor little girls~ Mimi ought to slaughter these ugly bastards!!!

And then Mimi went to the public library for more details…

ORCs are tree-like creatures of approximately human shape (with bowed legs and long arms) and of varying size. Spoiler: THE ORC HUNT

Okiie So Mimi went near the nest, activated a summoning circle and summoned bunch of wraiths.
Keeping them stand by, Mimi took called for a skeleton knight and using it to secure 4 orcs who wandered off the nest.
Here goes my favorite part…
Mimi cut out the hearts of 4ors and unfortunately one died on the spot… =_= this stupid skeleton must've beaten them up too much!
And so Mimi made up her mind to work with three hearts (too bad skeletons don't have hearts~ well I'll punish that thing later).
「3 Orc hearts, 3 iorn nails, branch of a dying kapre, teeth of a new born child, ounce of human blood」~the recipe to use mind control on creatures with lower intelligence~
Mimi used the dark arts on three and made three usable tools to infiltrate the nest~
Numbskull 01, 02 & 03~
Mimi sent Numbskull 01 & 02 to rescue humans… if therefore any left in there… report said they were so~
Then using Numbskull 03 as a guide and using wraiths cannon fodder, Mimi went inside the nest~

After having so much fun at the nest Mimi found no signs of the other Big player~
But Mimi found a altar used for black magic… maybe it's a witch?! Well whatever~
Mimi kept the Orc kings heart as token for the first job. After all that passed Mimi waited a looong while for Numbskull 01 & 02 to show, but they were gone~ no humans either~
But orc nest it cleared so the job is done~
Finding humans and cleaning up is not my business~ not like Mimi would get extra points for all that nosy work~
And so Mimi went back home.

And went back home to get nice bath and a good nap

O my Norway, as if goblins quest isn't taboo enough for female adventurers, u put hobgoblins quest. U damn sneaky guildmaster. Ah I'll be taking 30 orcs from the orcs invasion (need their subjugation proofs for job quest again),This will give freshman adventurers some safety bruekekekeke (even though I don't care if they die,I only care my job quest bruahahahaha).

"What. the. hell..."

This are my words as I reached the orc camp. To be precise, former orc camp.
The place is razed down, and no signs of life anywhere. The corpses of the orcs, goblins, and even some hob goblins where mixed in.

I checked the cave and was relieved to see that it isn't as bloody as outside. But I was confused as to where the hostages went...
Before I left, I checked and collected any material I could use to track the hostages. Anything that releases their scent can be used, so I collected the soil the soaked up their body fluids...hey I don't have any sniffing fetish, don't misunderstand.

I went out to prepare the potion for tracking....however,
I still sense some lingering power... probably by the instigator. The dark energy.. is a little familiar... I think I felt that recently- oh.
Before I left, a certain oujo-chan called @Mimi was asking for information. I knew she was an adventurer so I lightly cautioned her as I gave the information.

"Kowai~ yandere imouto kowai..."
I shivered as I remember those cute innocent eyes.

After finishing and drinking the tracking potion, with my enhanced senses, I moved further, deeper into the forest, where the other orcs could have come.
