"I make special talismans that can have various effects like returning back to the Guild Hall if you get in danger. The Return Charm is a one time use Charm that returns you to the designated location. I would be able to make these for 10 soul stones or something equivalent. 1 soul stone is equal to one Goblin Soldier. Pretty expensive."

A storm of terrible power raged in the sky above. Black clouds gathered and twisted around flashing bolts of lightning whilst driving rain pelted those below. Nor was this an ordinary rainstorm. After all, it raged above a world that shone in such terrible brilliance to the eyes of any who saw it that they would sometimes lose their ability to see such things ever again. Mana filled every living thing, qi surged around every stone, and divine power surpassed both in quantity and quality. This was a world of gods, forged by gods, inhabited by gods, dominated by gods and those far, far above them. The weakest stone would be called a Paragon anywhere else, and every water droplet could rule a thousand worlds as a water Dominion.

Yet it was being torn apart by battle. The flashing lightnings were anything but natural, created by shining wings and glowing blades as the illuminated creatures pursued something. And ahead, hidden in the darkness, fled their target: a small girl with long silvery hair, pale skin, and slitted eyes, perhaps no more than 5 years old by human reckoning. Her jet black feathered wings beat as hard as they could to evade her pursuers, as she drove through the endless storm in her desire for life.

The glowing figures were Seraphim from Eden, the strongest of the Angels ever to be born. They were the Chosen of Eden, beings which could be ranked with only five digits on the absolute power scale of existence. It was stunning that the girl had lasted as long as she had before their might.

Yet as she made another bid for the ground something rose fro there to stop her. Humanoid figures, adorned in light and holy radiance, stepped into the heavens to intercept the fall of the dark winged angel. Heroes of the mortal races moved to interfere with the battle of the heavens. And she was trapped between them.

The two glowing forces came towards her from both sides, leaving no escape. She curled up her wings and arms, ducking her head into her knees. It was obvious she'd given up.

The brightest of the Seraphim, beating ten wings of unimaginable brightness, raised his luminous blade over her neck. Without expression or hesitation, he swung it down with intent to kill.

But before the blade could strike, it's light went out. The brilliance diminished, and all could see what had happened to the figure. It had been torn apart, cut into a thousand pieces and killed without mercy. And then another person entered the scene.

Long silver hair above a perfectly chiseled face flowed into pitch black wings beating patiently and confidently. Pale skin and slender arms belied incredible strength which could slice a seraphim apart with ease. Slightly pointed ears sat above sea green eyes which glared harshly at everything threatening the girl. And in his hand, he held a pitch black katana that resonated with the darkness of the storm and every shadow in the area.

As he appeared, the storm seemed to tremble with anger or amusement. The lightning grew more furious, more terrible, and something far above them in that maelstrom made its presence known. The man looked up at it for a second before grabbing the girl and throwing her towards the ground. His mouth moved as if to yell something, but the words were lost in the storm. Even so, she twisted in the air and began diving faster and faster downwards.

Several heroes stood in her way. Their pride, their faith would not allow them to stand aside, even for a child. But the man had no mercy. Pure dark power surged from the blade he held, power which devoured every hero it touched. Then he turned it towards the Seraphim remaining and began to drive them off.

It looked as if he had succeeded in saving the child. Yet the storm, and the being within it, would not let them go so easily. Power which was neither light nor dark, good nor evil, came from its heart. The man retreated quickly, careful to prevent any of it from touching him. But the Seraphim were unable to even think of dodging.

They began to change, both those still living and those cut apart by the man. The supposedly incorrigible beings were being corrupted, being changed into something else. Something terrible. And the man seemed to recognize them before screaming something and yelling it towards the heart of the storm. This time, true laughter terrible to hear and comprehend was his answer.

The reborn seraphim attacked the man, this time numbering in the hundreds. And this time his blade could not finish them off, though it held the power to prevent healing of any type. He kept fighting anyway, until some broke off and dove after the girl.

Far below, she saw them pursuing. She recognized the power that remade them, recognized it and thought it something close to her. Even now, she could not believe that power was being turned against her. So she did not flee as she should have.

They caught up, and one attacked her unsuspecting form. It's blade sliced into her right wing, cutting deeply to the bone. She stared at it in dumbfounded disbelief, before beginning to scream as the wing began to mutate in the same way the Seraphim had.

The cursed power was terrible to behold. The wing changed species, forms, shapes, constantly being remade and destroyed. The pain was unbearable for such a child, and she began to fall from the sky.

Then a black blade flashed. The power which had worked so hard to defend her was turned against her body, severing the right wing permanently and preventing the spread of the curse. The wing, now separated, returned to its original form as the cursed power left it to pounce towards the man. But the blade intercepted and deflected it. He reached out to grab the girl, and shouted in her face once again.

"ALLIUNA!! WE NEED TO GO!!"

He screamed before throwing her away again. He followed quickly after sending a massive burst of darkness at the pursuers, and grabbed her still limp form. Diving faster than sound, faster than light, they fled towards the distant surface. As they did, she stretched out a hand towards the storm and whispered a single word,

"Mother..."

I awoke shivering slightly and feeling a remembered pain in my back. I stood unsteadily and looked around the room.

Gold was piled everywhere. Diamonds and sapphires, rubies and emeralds... This is... Mine. My lair, my portable sleeping chamber. One of the few places I remember clearly.

But until now I wasn't myself. Well, maybe I was, but it was certainly a different part of myself. I called myself Ally then, didn't I? A scholar, a researcher, an innocent... And a weakling.

No longer.

I extend my wings and look at the reflections I see in the diamond studded wall. I do not see two silvery scaled wings resembling a jewel encrusted robe. I see one wing, pitch black with tiny steaks of white, and covered in dark feathers. It is longer than the others, stronger in many ways. And it is unequivocally mine.

It is Luna's One Wing, not Ally's pair. Even if we are the same person, I will not relinquish this to her.

I step out of the portable lair and look down. A weak world, a soft world, without anything to threaten pitiful Ally, much less me. I raise my right hand and manifest a sword. The same sword I saw in my dream, the sword which reals souls and inflicts wounds that can never be healed. The soul sword Masamune, the blade of darkest night. I toy with it lightly, contemplating using it against the planet below. It will take but an instant for me to cut it in half. It will take less than a second for me to pulverize it completely. And it will take more, but be more entertaining, to summon forces great enough to let it now it's end has come.

It is my favorite toy, after all. To hurt myself, and hurt others doing so, is the greatest pleasure I can imagine. Death, despair, destruction... All are in my nature. Why does Ally reject who we are, who we are meant to be? It's much more fun to just embrace it.

I twist my wing and begin a dive. She was playing with an Orc horde, wasn't she? Let's spoil that at least. I descend faster and faster, plummeting through the atmosphere whilst fires explode around me. Flame of any sort cannot touch me. Neither heat nor cold can affect me. I don't even need those useless scales to achieve this.

I hit the ground in the middle of the Orc horde at around Mach 10,000, 1% of the speed of light. It explodes as the force of impact shatters the crust and upper mantle, blasting fissures in every direction which spew lava towards the sky. I whisper as I land the name this strike is called, "Hell's Gate."

Tens of thousands are annihilated instantly. Leaders, grunts, orcs, wargs, goblins, and even the plains are shattered by my strike. The death toll may reach hundreds of thousands soon. The survivors don't seem to have realized what they are facing. It's time to educate them.

I flap my wing and leap into the air, hovering a hundred feet above it. Orc Lords surge towards me, as well as high wargs, ogres, and one demonic Orc Lord. Pitiful vermin, at least your deaths will be swift.

"Shadow Flare"

Darkness surges around my form and explodes. Pure black clouds of dark energy kill everything they touch, massacring the entire attacking force in an instant. Their corpses drop to the ground without a mark on them.

Shamans begin to cast their spells frantically. More high orcs move forward to defend them, in acts of extreme madness or extreme heroism. I'm not sure there's a difference. The end result is always the same.

Masamune feasts on their souls. I dash through them at supersonic speeds, reaping a life with every step, letting fountains of blood mark my passage. Finally, a lord tries to take my blade in his chest to slow it even a second.

Madness. But I will allow you this chance. Let your shamans summon whatever they so choose. Not even the highest gods which surround your universe could challenge me, not in a fight to the death. So let me show you what true power is.

Once again I rise to the sky and beat my one wing. My silver hair has grown out a lot overnight, or perhaps with the change of wings. I never really cared which. Ally will cut it off as soon as she can anyway. Or should I use "I can" there? We are still the same person, after all.

No matter. The shamans have summoned ice golems, likely believing me a creature of fire after I burned so many of their kin. So be it. It is your doom either way.

"Meteor" I say calmly as I swing Masamune to point at the shamans. Far above us, a stone was torn from space itself and hurled at this world when I ascended the second time. It has just come into view behind me. I watch in glee as the Shaman's faces fall into despair and horror. They know what power that rock has. They have seen calamities before. Frantically, they try to get the golems to attack me. Irritations... disappear.

Silvery flames manifest as mere wisps on my fingers, and then shoot towards the golems. Each one struck falls limply to the ground, empty of magic and soul. Shamans controlling them drop dead as well, destroyed thought the soul link they had with their creations.

Now all that remains is the pleasure of watching the world turn to fire again. Yet just before I can, I feel a massive headache as my wing flickers and disappears.

What is this?

No... I remember. What just happened... What I did.
I let the sword in my hand vanish. I don't need it on this world. A blade designed to slay the supreme beings of existence doesn't belong in a universe at the back end of nowhere. I also reabsorb the energy which created the meteor. The Orc shamans already perished at the energy released by the transformation. To confirm, I turn around and see a pair of silver wings beating softly above the burning plains.

Hells gate. So called because it literally opens up a world and exposes numerous gates to hell. Shadow flare. An explosion of dark power which is the birthright of every bloodline born to evil. Meteor... Self explanatory. When I am Luna, I don't hesitate to use such terrible abilities. Nor to take lives so freely and without hesitation.

I see several adventurers staring in horror at the hellscape the Orc army camp has become. Rocky protrusions extend from the ground whilst depressions are bubbling with lava. The greenery, the foliage, everything living in the area is gone.

A Calamity. A disaster of such magnitude even worlds have trouble recovering. On the other hand, I am perfectly capable of breaking this world like an egg. I should probably be grateful I didn't.

This can be fixed, if poorly. I channel my own energies into undoing what I just did, smoothing the protrusions and filling the depressions. The world itself forcefully repairs the rest, regeneration plants and trees. But the Orc horde is shattered. The few survivors will forever fear the One Winged Angel, the dark Elven child of the tree of life. Extending my claws, I slice off the lengthened hair and incinerate it in the silver flames I produce. I then circle down to collect the bodies.

There are too many. Almost eighty thousand orcs perished in her attack, of which I could only take around fifty thousand. Of those, fifty were lords of some kind, including all of their remaining kings and the demon possessed one which could not survive a strike from Masamune. That is not entirely surprising. There are also several thousand each of slimes, wargs, Lizardmen, boar, bears, deer, undead skeletons, undead zombies, and bunnies. There are a few golems such as ice, stone, and mythril, a couple of salamanders, and a few birds of prey still sparkling with the lightning they tried to attack me with. I bow my head after the space I have set aside for such things has taken all of them in. A graveyard of immense size resides in that pocket dimension, as well as countless souls. Adding these did not increase it by much at all. I've placed entire worlds within it before.

I fly patiently back to the guild. I doubt they will recognize me with my black wing, but I need a story to explain how I got whatever parts of these I can turn in for quest rewards. Let's go with hunting. That always works in fairy tales. I was just out hunting, and happened to send several species to extinction. Doesn't that always happen?

The tavern's floor rattled. I glanced at Psyx for a second before rushing out, thinking that the orc army finally marched. I flew as fast as I could, it would only take several short hours for warg riders to reach the city. Plenty of casualties on the way without any warning.

Then I saw massive black mist billowed on the distance. It radiated a sinister aura as I subconsciously understand that touching that would be catasthropic. I halted somewhat, recognizing the hill below the vortex yesterday - the vortex was no more. The demon orc was released. Yet I heard miserable screams instead of war cries from the encampment..?

I dropped my altitude and flew curved toward the treeline. I had a lingering idea about who could possibly wreck the entire army, but it felt... wrong? One of the longest sentence Aly ever told me was regarding how she find humans strange for killing something they won't eat. Well, what's happening up ahead wasn't very Aly-like.

I arrived at one edge of the encampment, kneeling on a tree branch. The black mist had entirely dispersed, making me wondering whether it's an illusion, but seeing the hellscape in front of me convinced me otherwise.

Massive area centering at the heart of the encampment are nothing more than a smoldering crater. On an even wider area surrounding that, was pile of assorted corpses with no apparent wound - except that none actually had any mana signature. All dead. Then, moving toward the field of corpses were shamans and orc captains? Well, the grunts were running away instead. Some definitely spotted me as they sporadically vanished into the forest but none even spared a second glance. Terrorized, to put it mildly.

Something blitzed across the remaining orcs. I need to fully concentrate and magically enhance my perception to even glimpse at the creature, and at that moment my heart stalled. Then it started beating twice as fast.

Silver hair long enough to reach her own feet, as well as a single, feathery black wing. A blade so dark as if it absorb light itself. Aside from that it's definitely Aly, yet something was different from her usual demeanor. A cold, murderous air instead of her usual uncaring attitude. Not like we were around anywhere near enough to know her that well, but this Aly wouldn't think twice to rip my innards and devour it while looking straight into my eyes back at our first meeting. I just knew that much.

She finally stopped in place, pointing her blade skyward and swung in down while muttering something. Immediately a part of the sky lit up bright orange. It was tiny from here, but if Aly summon a rock from the sky then it sure as hell won't be tiny. Taking it as my cue, I bolted back to the direction of the city. There were orcs fleeing the same direction anyway, I doubt she even care enough to single me out.

I stopped for a moment when the meteor, now close enough for the titanic size to be comprehended, suddenly vanished. Pretty much the entire city saw it at this point, so there would be pandemonium. Getting my report through would be a real chore...

Recently I was exploring the northern mountains and happened upon a castle full of undead. I didn't explore very far into it, but from what I could see from the outside, it was a very large castle, with at least 200+ unexplored rooms. Possible future quest @Ldyrdy ?

I order some meal in tavern. I feel pretty strange the fact I'm totally clean after finish the quest but my stomanche want food so nothing strange here. I don't talk very much here and the only one I be very friendly is Reacchi. I ask myself what he probabily doing now and if she is fine. The roasted pork arrived and I find it more delicious than usual.

...therefore a mistake to classify metals by a single characteristic such as durability or magical affinity. On the other hand, most metals can be easily classified into four sets: those with strength, those that conduct magic, those that enhance the alloy, and those that have other useful benefits. Those sets can each be individually ranked by the characteristic that most suits their own speciality. For example, the magical metal Inferium is considered better than hellstone but inferior to Pandemonium Iron due to the fact that it's magical conductivity is between the other two. This leads metallurgic scholars to first separate metals into these four categories then rank them individually in order to get an idea of each metals value.

Strength based metals: metals in this category tend to be nonmagically conductive, yet with great tensile strength and hardness. They are often used as foundations of alloys because they can be easily melded with other more useful metals.
Magically conductive metals: these metals have high magic conductivity, and usually also have an affinity of some sort. They are easily alloyed to a strength based metal to make magic items in magic blacksmithing. It is oft important to link the correct elemental metal with the correct enchantment; Holy Light is not very effective coming from Black Silver.
Alloy Enhancement metals: this is a category of metals that is useless on their own, but extremely important in creating alloys. For example, lead is a useless metal on its own with no redeeming qualities but density. However, it is extremely effective in binding other metals together as there are very few metals it cannot alloy with. Similarly aluminum can be used to decrease density while tungsten increases the melting point of the finished steel. There are several useful metals in this category.
Uncategorized metals: the technical name for metals which do not focus on strength, magic, or alloying is uncategorized as they are not as well defined a category as the others. This includes valuable metals such as pure gold or silver, electrically conductive metals like copper, unusual magic metals like chlorophyte, and many more that are useful for specific purposes, but otherwise valueless. They can be added to alloys to add effects to the finished steel, but are often left alone otherwise.

It is unquestionable that no matter the strength of an individual metal, a steel forged of many purified metals will be stronger if created right. A talented smith combines the effects of many different metals both magic and no magic to create the desired effect in his product, which is then reforged into the desired form. Thus, rankings of metals are essentially useless, and it is better to memorize the effects of many types of metal rather than attempt to rank individual natural metals by...

She bows politely.

i know this is late but i need to do some clarification on some matter~

regarding the demon orc raid, the adventurer's all have done well.. and as someone guessed it right, i am the one who deliver the final blows but somehow it wasn't enough to kill him. i was only able to send him back to where he belongs. so we can say that the situation is save for now.

regarding the demon orc raid, the adventurer's all have done well.. and as someone guessed it right, i am the one who deliver the final blows but somehow it wasn't enough to kill him. i was only able to send him back to where he belongs. so we can say that the situation is save for now.
