Discussion Female Characters in Xianxia

Is it just me or does anyone else also refuse to form any attachments with them because I just know they will be separated from the MC and then we have to wait for the story to end to let the meet again.

 

Xianxia is all about the MC reaching the apex when it comes to cultivation and you can't really do that when you're surrounded by peerless beauties with jade-like skin.

 

Most online novel writers are teenagers/college students. It's too hard for them to write love affairs, let alone the family life. So many level-up fighting novels choose to skip that part and focus on the cultivation/fight line.

There are xianxia novels that do not skip the relationship line, especially the female-oriented ones.

 

Its just a spice in between.....

Its hard to do a close door cultivation if there's a beautiful woman next to them, unless they practise that dao pair cultivation technique.
Well most of the MC have trash background anyway and a crap load of enemies after them, so little time to invest in romance.

Uhhhh, IDK about Yun Che, but Yue Yang was already an Innate before he even left his house for the first time.

 

It's the duty of xianxia MCs to directly or indirectly offend everything around them. They don't have time for love!
They also usually believe that over-indulgence in pleasures of women and alcohol destroys your body and probably distracts your dao heart.

 

Well that kinda works , but only if your MC has a bull shit amount of luck that shouldn't possible.

I am definitely reporting this post as a spoiler, even if nothing will come of it. I really hope you don't know what you're talking about.

Yue yang don't really train or cultivate.He was an innate from the start. Way way waay above the normal genius. He got lots of time for other things.

 

Jade is green. Peerless beauty indeed.

 

LLS handles it quite well. (Granted it's kind of a hybrid Xianxia, but it's all there.)

 

The female character tend to have the same characteristics in the novel. To me, the only way to form attachment with the female character is during their interaction with the male lead. During the other time they appear, the female character are just too genetic.
