And if you don't want to have a conflict with anyone especially if you're emotionally unstable giving them a cold shoulder is the best way to do it.
Note: it's highly effective to nephews and niece if they'll constantly harass you in the future. They'll quiet down immediately if you don't notice them at all

Ignoring someone when I'm not feeling well and they touch a sorry spot is the best method I find for not saying lots of stuff all at once that could easily hurt the person...
... I kinda end up blurting it all out to someone I trust later on though, but at least it helps me in not saying it to the person in question... I think it's a good method.
'cause if you answered back them when you're angry, you'll just say something stupid and will just worsen the thing
So it's best to don't answer them in the heat of the moment. And if everything's calm, then try to have a normal conversation again
