so the water pump was slowly leaking over my graphics card. And my spare computer chose juat this moment to have a critical hd crash

And blurgh really? that would explain some things... nice going off them, this is one of the reasons why I like air cooling, no risk for water leakage.
Either that or custom loop, i'd go custom loop, but it is so much work making sure nothing leaks and then you must do occasional maintenance.
I hope they fix it proper this time!
