aye, i have downloaded some. i have Jsho in my mobile and NJstar japanese in my laptop. but i still can't read too many kanjis without those (or google if all of the above fail xD)
Ehhhh, may be a little hard then.
The Question boils down to this;
I took the pen name "Osamaru" (収まる) because It was a verb that had several interesting meaning, such as "to conduct one's self well", "to restore to its proper place", "to bring to conclusion (positive manner)" and to "be at peace" among others.
but recently, someone told me its not that at all. I'm not a speaker, and know barely any of the language , so I don't really know. google seems to agree with me, but then google has the contextual knowledge of a 2 year old, so that's not concert.
Wanted someone who knew the language well enough to tell me the truth of the matter.

settle into; (2) to be delivered; to be obtained; to be paid; (3) to be
settled; to be sorted out; (4) to lessen (e.g. of storms, pain); to calm
down; (5) to be fit tightly into (e.g. a frame); to be sheathed (in a scabbard).
i think the problem is the kanji used.
with this other kanji, the meaning is what you were looking for.
修まる【おさまる】 (v5r,vi) to govern oneself; to conduct oneself well.
Ya, that's similar to what I found as well. I like the meaning contained in the Verb. Were did you find that from? My worry is I can't tell the difference between something someone who knows the language submitted, and something from an amateur.
治まる【おさまる】 (v5r,vi) to be at peace; to clamp down; to lessen (storm, terror, anger); (P). while this one is the kanji that gives it the meaning of 'to be at peace'.
治: reign; be at peace; calm down; subdue; quell; govt; cure; heal; rule; conserve;
perhaps for the spelling 'osamaru,' the most common reading is the one with the kanji you forst mentioned. but it should be fine to just call yourself osamaru, if you wish. you could use these kanjis: 修丸 xD
