The novel apparently experienced a flood of premature dissatisfaction and ended up with a mere rating of 3.7.

Anyway, the story is about a player who transmigrated into a mortal noble teen into a world of - as known so far - rather limited means of training, and with a lot of unexplained destruction and death that is attributed to ghosts or spirits. The connection of MC's special ability to a modern day phone app hack only serves as context for its operating principle, so there is nothing that deserves the game elements tag as yet.

The author gives slight focus to all points of interest of MC's everyday matters, thus despite the quick rise in strength there are no issues with the pace.
The battle scenes took up to two thirds of chapter per enemy. There is a good amount of narration allowing one to visualize and grasp most of the actions during important moves, but it is a also cast with trivial dialogues and abstract qualifications - swifter, fiercer than, viciously slashed, etc..
The cheat only acts as converter of vitality into comprehension of techniques but the MC still has to accustom oneself to those, train and nurture his body.
Beyond that, the plot is often about investigations, politics and social matters, I suspect there will be at least harem subtext (a high percentage of girls among important side characters).

In short, it feels fresh, promising, thoughtful and seems to be adventure-oriented, but it is still too early to tell how the author planned to develop the story further.

I post rarely so carry on with the rest of the discussion. ~~

If it's bias towards QI, that's one thing but the translation is definitely fine.

You said there's an issue with the translator. It's ridiculous to claim that doesn't imply the translation is bad.

when bcat was tl'ing it, the ratings were normal. When QI took it over, the ratings dropped. The translator is an issue because the translator is part of QI. not anything to do with quality. The translator could be great at it for all I know.

I'm pretty sure he meant the translating site, not the person translating the novel itself.

And if you guys have read my initial answer, you would've seen that I clearly considered both. It's just the "I've never said the translation was bad" comment was unnecessary.

The issue with the translator is that they work for qi and we look down on that

the story itself isn't that bad tbh, it's not overreaching itself imo. , like where you have a peak cultivation enemy already even when the MC is still a noob.
the mc have it's own limitation, and not outright OP. atleast at the moment uptodate ch.
if you can get pass the QI thingy(which i certainly don't care), it's a nice read if you're bored with the usual stuff.

Does this novel deal with immortality? Or is it just wuxia? It'd be great if someone told me.

I got a question about the cheat the MC has.

Does he only need the entry/beginning of any skill to max it or does he also need to know the later stages to be able to upgrade it?

from what i understand, he needs to at least be able to use the most basic part of a ability, from there he can upgrade it as much as he would like. currently author isn't really pushing the fact he can upgrade a skill beyond what a manual says, maybe there is more to that.

Yeah, I found the answer myself when I read on with the raws. It´s "cheaper" if he has a full manual but he can still practice anything to max lvl just for higher "cost" if the manual is damaged.. Later the novel switches from mystery to a focus where strenght is the only thing the MC focus on, a bit of shame that. Still a great read though, really looking forward to when TL is to date.
