And good call on the sister, that's definitely a possible route, she has godsent talent and becomes his equal. I think the MC is around 16-17, because it said that Qin Yao is slightly older than he is. And yeah, a very convenient biography spelled out to us haha, but I guess it was sorta reasonable since she was trying to explain her bitch actions.
