Request Any free active MMO/MMORPG recommendations?

What better place to ask than this community as other articles I've checked were outdated.
If possible, browser-based but if the game is nice, active and not heavily venomous, then pc-based would do as well.

I haven't played a good MMO in such a long time... I miss the good old Ragnarok Online days. I miss the good old Asheron's Call. There's a few more MMOs I miss, but can't remember what they are atm...

Serenia fantasy is free to play , but it has monetary equipment to buy and other perks related to it.

 

I've tried TERA. Sorry but I just can't; doesn't fit well with me. Not saying the games bad but the mechanics aren't just for me, too stiff.

Hmm... is there a PK system?

I've retired from DOTA 2.

 

GW2 doesn't have open world PKing only arena based PVP, Border lands PVP, and Mist battleground.

Basically you have team matches and a few giant maps where it's faction vs faction vs faction. So three kingdoms.

The main world is all PVE though.

guild wars 2, I started playing it a few days ago and it's really good it's f2p and it isn't p2w but there are still some things you can't do without the hearth of thorns expansion but you can easily play it untill lvl 80 without the hot expansion

 

Oldschool Runescape has f2p, after you become a bit decent you can grind your way into membership for free with in game money.
You can also run it in your browser, but a client like OSBuddy might be better as they provide some extra quality of life improvements in game.

The community is a little bit "special" though.

 

Maybe eso ive been thinking of trying it out again as well since new expansion adding a ton of content next month

ESO is not free; have to pay to play game but no longer monthly. Additional perks only pay.

 

Yep raids are newish. It's quite unforgiving the last time I tried. Dungeons were nerfed a bit ago. Nerfed as in it doesn't give a lot of gold now.

 

One minor detail; is there trading... like player marketing?

I'd advice you Ragnarok Online, but unfortunatelly it is almost dead now *cries*
