    They didn't drop it... just because WW got licensing XXw never stated that they dropped it...

    them restarting translations can lead to a lot of trouble for them as WW has copyright on the novel(not on xxw translations) so if they start doing new chapters a cease and desist order might be in place.

    It shouldn't be that. There might be some donations which were pending. The previous translator must be clearing them now.

    When they got new translator, they shud have focused on RITF instead of trying to snatch from WW who holds the license... awww...

    i saw it too and couldnt help but think sh*ts about to get real lmao. XXW is about to get in trouble if WW doesnt offer a gracious warning first. best drama ever.

    I'm pretty sure NU is impartial so IF XXW decides to pick it up again (which I doubt) both will pe updated. (maybe? I dunno, not a staff member)

    And if NU did that, they'd effectively be advertising an illegal translation (WW hold the translation rights to ATTE). NU won't risk it.

    They aren't really legal, but they aren't illegal either. They're kind of borderline and it depends how you interpret different laws.

    On the other hand, when another company is the exclusive owner of the translation rights, it is definitely illegal.

    Edit: and I don't think NU wants a reputation of advertising illegal translations and hurting WW.
