    someone would probably translate in a hush hush way until they get noticed again. the first batch was translated into 20 volumes before they got noticed by the author. we just have to wait about 2-3 years though. :p

    False, they asked permission from the author and he allowed them to translate the first 20 volumes.
    Didn't get noticed for the 28 later volumes tho :p

    I'm glad I didn't pick it back up just to get my heart broken again. (I stopped reading it one of the first times that the translation was dropped.)

    I guess I will continue to wait for a few more years... TT_TT </3

    LMS was my first Korean LN... at this rate it might be my last... (I wonder if the last chapters will be translated before I die?)

    Note to self: Don't start reading LMS again until it is actually completely translated.

    it was the only kr novel that i know of during those times. good thing we have more choices now. lets just drown our sorrows in other web novels.

    nooooo, please, why do this ? it isn't as if I am not able to pay to read or something but until the official translation reaches where it was translated it would be around four years from now, LMS was literally the first novel that I read, it was the one who brought me to this wonderful world of novels, when I found it I read 20 vol in 1~2 weeks, when I wasn't sleeping or in school I was reading, I would really love to see this novel until the end, but this happens?! I am truly sad right now because of this.

    Have they actually started publishing an official translation? Because that would be alright by me. What I'm worried about is that I've heard they don't actually have any concrete plans to publish in English.

    I don't really know if they plan to but why would they forbid the English translation if not because of this ? I bet that it doesn't change any shit for the author if there is an English translation of his novel.

    Korean publishers have a notorious habit of claiming to have plans for English publications that never materialize. TBH, despite all the arguing over QI and Yen Press, they've at least gotten English translations out after they contacted the fan translators. I don't have any recollection of a Korean publisher doing so even after blocking English publication.

    No it's not. Kakaopage is only enforcing their own copyrights, which is completely fair and within their rights. Qidian is muscling in on everyone, even their competitors through buying GT.

    Well... good thing I stopped reading this when Japtem stopped their translation of LMS. I was waiting for the translation to be complete before restarting, but... oh well. Not gonna happen now. Sad...
