    Weather they end up as a couple or not doesn't really effect the fact that marriage between cousins was still quite prevalent in recent history and has only really fallen out of favour in the last couple of hundred years in the West. It's still pretty common in some areas of the world, although China isn't one of them.

    I only read the manga for divine throne but not the novel yet. I completely forgot the names of the protagonists. It seems this is a sign that I can read the novel now. I've been delaying to read the novel since the plot is still fresh in my mind from the manga.
