I wonder if it's based on the book Hilarious Pampered Consort: lord I will wait for the divorce. I know the drama adaption for 3lives, 3worlds was also called Eternal Love but I think there are two different shows. https://www.viki.com/tv/35557c-the-eternal-love#data-modal-mobile-banner
Is it the same? Actually, I haven't read that novel yet... I've watched the drama and have been looking if there's a novel of it. Is the female also a real estate agent on the novel?
Yup The Eternal Love is based on that novel. It is different to the other one just the English name is pretty much the same. The Eternal Love (Pampered Consort one) is a web novel iirc and is filled with newbies in the acting world. It isn't that bad though, even if the acting to MC is a bit over the top when she changes personalities.
Is the novel better than the drama? I only read 20 chapters if the book. It's confusing the way the two shows have similar names, I wonder why they did that.
I actually don't remember that as I only read like the first 20 chapters of the book like 2 years ago.
Hmm I haven't read the novel yet, I watched the drama first because it piqued my interest. Might start reading the novel today and see how it differs though. I didn't even know....erm only open the spoiler if you want to be spoiled...unless it's in the first chapters of the novel. I have not read the novel yet >.< Spoiler That she had two souls in her >.< But the novels tend to be better than the dramas because they sometimes cut things in dramas or mesh the antagonists together.
I've only read part a few chapters of the translations, so I can't go very far into how the two media diverge, but basically the premise has been adjusted slightly: Novel: Girl transports into ancient body Drama: Girl transports into ancient body and shares the body with the original owner (almost like "split personalities") I really don't like the scenes in the drama with the original personality. The parts with the modern girl is fun. I'm up to episode 16, and I say the drama worth watching up until episode 11ish where the "palace politics" and "magic" starts coming in. After that, the interaction funny interaction between the heroine and the male lead is a bit muted. I'm still watching the drama but it remains to be seen if the latter half of the drama is as enjoyable as the first half.
