pls tell me someone what is wrong with the harem mebers in novels?
i mean exactly the female nsc.

i understand that the MC must be somehow shown to be attractiv and special, but why the hell is in almost every novle i read the females not only heels over head for the MC but doesn´t even a take for an no?!

best example what i read today is the Ouyang Lulu form Return from immortal world. MC says he onyl wnats to be friends, for the hundreds time, and what does she? tells her staff he is her boyfriend and future hsuband and father of children -.-'

they don´t even know them good but wnats to bear the children? why? becaus ehe is so fierce and rich? great, but at least aknolwdge his own opinions and don´t pester someone just because you are so fucking dense or shamless!

could puke of this annoying harem mebers, which in the most examples the MC doesn´t even want!

Depends on how they're written, Heavenly Star or something had a forceful girl but that one was interesting.

 

That is called wish fulfillment... They are not made after actual people.

 

The worst part is that those harem members are forgotten 3-4 arcs later in the CN when the MC has to go to a new world.

Well if you ARE Mc Material type of guy it is common even IRL. So just move on and find some other things to worry about.

Author either doesn't give a shit about writing good characters so shit like that comes out to pander to their audience. Or, the authors themselves have so little life experience that they end up writing "characters" that come off as one dimensional. Basically bad writing, the harem members only exist as to suck the MC's dick whenever he needs some succ or praise him when he needs praise. Then they disappear once their purpose is fulfilled, or they stay that way forever and maybe go through some character development aka power up when they start lagging behind the MC.

 

Let me explain the crux of the matter as simple as possible.

There are two general types of harem 'owners'.

Actives and Passives.

Actives add the women to the harem, so you can tell they want the harem.

Passives might or might not be aware there's a harem, or they just don't care, so the women either add other women or just add themselves.

Sure, there are plenty of variety of those types, but you can mainly divide them into that, from the first post, your problem was with the passives.

 

In xianxia no doesn't mean no, it means to used force.
Because there is no one that doesn't fall after you raped then once or twice.

 

That's the worst. I actually stopped reading one of my favorites because the author did a great job of getting me invested in the various love interests, then put them all in danger. The MC's response was basically "I'm really upset! But I can't seem to solve any of these problems right now... Oh well! Better go on to the next area! I'm sure things will work out somehow, and the author is already dropping hints about a new love interest!"

 

be glad he's not getting the same sort of people chasin him as the female MCs tend to get. it'd easily add the yandere tag. granted, that would probably make them actually interesting, so there might be something there... most harem MCs are the reactionary sort, so having a group of yanderes fighting amongst themselves to possess the MC would probably be far more entertaining than bland cliches with zero personality at all fawning over him for no reason.

 

Chicks in xianxia LOVE being raped by the MC. Literally. It's what makes them realize their feelings half the time. Like "wow! I'm angry that he raped me, but I just can't stay mad at him. Every time I look at him my heart flutters!" Really? That's how the author thinks love works?
