    I recommend A Hero Past the 25th and its sequel. Solid, character and theme driven stories based on the Summoned Hero trope.

    Binary Soul     is another decent choice. It really reminds me of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, and it still boggles my mind that the author could get so close to that in tone without ever reading the books himself.

    If youre lookimg for unique and good novel how about The Defective hermit??? Its on hiatus(or dropped) for over a year now but i promise you that it will not disapoint you.
