According to the author, Shuhang is a natural super genius for sabre that make any other genius look talentless. However, his ineptitude for sword also make a talentless person look like a genius in a comparison.

In the scale of 0 to 10,

• If a ‘normal’ genius for sabre’s aptitude is 9 or 10, Shuhang’s aptitude is 20.
• If a ‘normal’ talentless person for the sword’s aptitude is 0 0r 1, Shuhang’s aptitude is -10.

Anyway, Shuhang is a fan of 《Dugu Nine Swords》 from Jinyong’s 《Smiling Proud Wanderer》. That’s why he is obsessed with learning sword arts despite his obvious lack of aptitude for it.

 

CELESTIAL HUNTING EVENT

Introduction

The annual event for 2019, organised by the Cultivator’s Alliance with the collaboration of 30 major cultivation world’s organisations including World’s Horizon Wandering Temple and Heavenly River’s Su Clan. The event will end on 31st December 2019.

The event was decided in the wake of Celestials’ threats and multiple-attacks to Fifth Stage Spirit Sovereigns and also it fit the time frame for an annual event.

Before the event was announced, the Alliance has requested for any information from the cultivators regarding the then-unknown hostile force. Saint Monarch Tyrant Song was the one who identified them as the Celestials, the reason of the attacks and provided the Alliance with a fully functional Celestial aircraft for research. Saint Monarch Seventh Path also provided detailed information about the Celestials based on old records.

Afterwards, the Alliance mass-released the 《Celestials Induction Technique》, created from analysed collected data. The technique is used to detect the Celestials from a distance, hence got an alternative name as 《Resenting the Celestials’ Radar Technique》.

Annual events such as this provide loose cultivators with opportunities to gain cultivation resources and techniques.

The event is open to every practitioners and divided into three categories as follow:

• Group
• School

Top rankers from each category will receive extra rewards.

Points and Scoring

Fourth Stage Celestials
Alive: 500 Fourth Stage spirit stones and 5 points
Dead: 100 Fourth Stage spirit stones and 1 points

Fifth Stage Celestials
Alive: 900 Sixth Stage spirit stones and 900 points
Dead: 100 Sixth Stage spirit stones and 100 points

Sixth Stage or higher Celestials
Need for direct appraisal.

Rewards

Points can be exchanged with

• refiner material, pill refining material, talisman manufacturing material and immortal delicacy material
• magical item, precious spirit beasts, various sorts and varieties medicine pills
• cultivation’s techniques.

Exchange Points

Multiple exchange points for the Celestials have been set up. Pick-up service only available if any of the following conditions are satisfied:

• 100 or more Fourth Stage Celestials; or
• 50 or more Fifth Stage Celestials; or
• Any number of Sixth Stage or higher Celestial

 

I can't believe I just read through all these posts.....So From what I gather, even in the latest chapters, there's been little progress with soft feather right?.....damn, I'd really like some damn progress at that part, but alas, the english translation is only at ch 199

there is only one really leap of progress where it seems that soft feather from the future after training with a time skill, comes back to glimpse at the MC since it seems that the MC have being gone for millenniums, and by the dialogue we can really sense something like love directed at the MC , at least i felt so, where soft feather really loves the future MC but because of something besides him being gone is in the way of them , maybe even a change of sides/fight or another woman, is the reason why they are "not" together.
Ps: to use time skills like that just to see the MC is a huge burden to the user, we are talking even at the level that she could die, and this shows of how important the MC is to her in the future or the shit that is happening to make her come see him .
on the other hand; Shíliù, is moving forward and trying to push hard the wife material, everyone is seeing this but the MC seems to be a little dense to it .


Now a little of guess: for me it seems that a turn out of events that makes the MC change himself is a drastic way, could be multitude of things but one thing is clear, something have happen that changes the MC in a way that make impossible for him to be with her(softfeather) even if she loves him, at least this is the vibes i get by the dialogue, but again the author wrote a lot more chapter after this event and there is not a simple clue that would cause so bigger change to the mc personality like that so we do not know what have happen yet and since the novel follows a very slow pattern of story telling we may never see it and be a simple lose point that the author may never bring back.

 

Maybe shuhang became heavenly dao/Sun and was unable to meet softfeather because of his position as Sun

No, soft feather said he have being in closed training for millenniums, and in the mean time some deep shit have happen it seems that make her to want to see at any cost it seems at least is the vibes i got from the dialogue but the main point is that he is in "suppose!!" to be in closed door training and no one have heard or seen him for millenniums.
and if i could add little more: most of the jobs done by the the heavenly dao, is done by Bot(take this as clone that they have made themselves; or a game where the heavenly DAO is the GM and by that is granted access to multitude of hidden features and with that he must also control the "game" so it would not go out of control), we have a very insight about them so far and most of them simple keep going and searching a way to suppose going to a even "higher" realm than the current one, this is also being support by the fact that most heavenly dao have left their post at some point and this is why we had 7 of them in the middle of having 8;(that we know of ) where they are immortal and should not have died if they did not want too.
going back to the MC is like he is simple "gone" and no one besides the really old people of the world, or in this case the ones we are reading right now even knows who he is or that exist someone as strong and powerful as him, because to live that long he should have achieve eternal life realm!.
on a side note; i forget to wrote before but Soft feather feels really happy to being able to see AhShiliu as well, like she have not seen her by a fair longer time than the MC so if i could guess, by their dialogues where soft feather request the MC that he needs to be more careful and most important stop dying so much because in the state he is going there is not gonna be enough revival artifact to keep with his demand!.

So if i could add a little more guess work would be that the MC died and Shiliu killed herself to revive him in some way, this would work in the scenery i have talked before where Shiliu would be a piece important enough to make the MC change in a drastic way, and since she is pushing herself as waifu material in 100% right now she could have achieve success in some way and once her dead hit's the MC this could become the thorn that would eventual follow all the MC relationship in the future and thus make impossible for the MC be with soft feather in the future thus creating the possible scenery where she have gone back to see him,since it seems clearly that soft feather from the future loves the MC , of course this last part is all guesses, there is no proof to support this yet.

 

You may be right you may be wrong but based on the history of this series, the probability of that happening is slim.... this story is too easy going and funny to be that serious....

Currently, there is too few information regarding Future Soft Feather and Future Sixteen.

Although it is implied Future Soft Feather gained the Way of Time from the Heavenly Emperor. However, there is not much known about the Way of Time and its abilities, except for 《Time Reversal》.

Regarding Song Shuhang and Soft Feather’s ship, it was hinted at least twice.

1. A divination by the then-True Monarch Yellow Mountain: Turn back suddenly, discover that your destined person is there, by the waning lantern lights. This is also the chapter title where Song Shuhang and Soft Feather first met.
2. A traditional wedding in a part of four consecutive dreams, where daughter-con Spirit Butterfly tried to sabotage it. One might say its just a dream, but we all know his dreams are prophetics, and two of the dreams already happened.

 

Song Shuhang is fully aware about Sixteen’s intention to be his dao companion.

“From Sixteen’s earnest asking him about settling down and starting family in the future, Song Shuhang understood. Although does not know why someone as outstanding as Sixteen, will have a liking for him? But looks at the Su Clan’s The Sixteenth appearance, she is earnest.” - Chapter 1066

Despite his position and status in the Cultivation World, Shuhang after all is said and done is pretty much a modern 18 years old university student who cultivate because he wants to look cool. His original plan was to get a girlfriend in the university, get married after graduation, have two children, one boy and one girl, and life a normal and boring life.

1. Spirit Ghost #1 Song ONE (note the capitalization) was sent into the past.
2. Song Shuhang and Song ONE has a spirit ghost contract between them.
3. Song ONE has been looking out for his master all this time.
