If MC is so afraid of being sent to the front lines with a target on his back, why not reveal he is the best pill maker in the sect?
Personally, I think given the current situation, he just didn't want to become a factory drone or a target when enemies go "kill their supplies".
He's not really at the level of being the "best pill maker", though. He's got a large success rate for some of the low-level pill formulas, but the higher ones are still not too great.
IIRC it was stated that their best producer could only produce the pre spirit master pills. So he would be the best unless i misremember They can't kill their supplies without sacking the sect entirely first. And if they do sack the sect completely they would keep him as a pill drone instead of killing him. And being a pill drone for either side is better than being deployed on a suicidal mission which is what he explicitly expects Also, at rank of spirit master they get more leeway than that. as can be seen with the existing producers
What are the actual traits of the MC's pure aura ki? MC said each has weaknesses, strengths, and special powers. And that he got an extraordinary one. But we never learned what the traits of it are, only that it is good.
I assumed the traits were icy yin when it was mentioned that his icicle spell will get a boost when he was upgrading?

See, that is still very unimpressive. it is supposed to be high quality material. But all it has going for it is "good defense & compatible with MC" I'd expect after all that effort he would actually get something really good.
What can he do? He's currently residing in a resource poor barren wilderness. The good stuff are all on the Central Heaven Continent where the Sect Founder originated from.
Fair point. but they still have top materials like those star qi liquid. And thinking about it, while in some ways it is very reasonable for MC to make due with merely ok materials. It is actually less plausible for him to just coincidentally stumble on a decently good material that is perfectly suited to him instead of on one that is fabled quality but not perfectly suited for him. It could also be that regular aura qi has more drawbacks than i think. and just the fact that this one has no weaknesses at all and only bonuses makes it high grade
Seems like the Scorpion is about to evolve into a liquid level or Spirit Master. Who knew that dark aura Ki would be used for the Scorpion? Will it use both? I doubt the head will need one since its power isn't meant for apostles in the first place.
What are the special qualities of the Guyin Aura Qi? It's definitely not the same one MC used for himself, right, since he got that from the special location of that family whose son he impersonated before.
