    I watched the first season or so of Dexter but I am wondering if Dexter ever killed a man who was framed or falsely accused.
    I need this information for research on a similar vigilante story I am working on

    Not one that I can remember, but in the TV series, the 'code of harry' did evolve several times to accommodate various 'loop holes' in the original version.

    Once. He investigated himself and found the wrong murderer. The police investigated too and found the real murderer. He realized he had made a mistake and killed an innocent man.

    He killed people that were "innocent" in a sense that he killed outside of his moral "code"

    If you're gonna do research just read through the wikipedia episode summaries of S1.
    There are only so many episodes in S1. Not that hard.

    When his wife (Retta?) died he kind of went crazy. I think he was drunk in a bar (which seemed like it was in a Florida Swamp) and killed some random guy in the bathroom, because he looked at him funny or insaulted him or something. Well anyway I remember that one random guy just meet a psycho having a bad day/time, too bad for him.

    I remember watching an episode where he killed a lot. it is not intentional, sure, but he and his sister are directly responsible.
    it was when dee dee got a hold of one of his mechs and they had a giant robot fight in the city.
    pretty sure a lot of casualties was in that episode
