Dispelling the Fiction of Wuxiaworld's "Headhunting"

Hello everyone, I’m Doubledd, the translator for RMJI. In response to Qidian International’s fictitious claim that Wuxiaworld headhunted Gravity translators, I felt it upon myself to clear that particular fact as I was one of those translators. The claim in question, I quote: “... in the case where we were trying to build a good cooperation with WW, they privately approached the translators of Gravity Tales...” from their post "Licensing Issues of Wuxiaworld".

About two months ago, many novels decided to stop hosting their projects on Gravitytales and wanted to move to different websites such as Volarenovels and Wuxiaworld. These sites were generous enough to quickly accommodate our quick transfer.

The first to move was Hyorinmaru, the translator of ‘Martial World’. He said this in his very first post on Wuxiaworld, I quote: “I will say that it was me that approached Wuxiaworld, and in no way was I ever poached or approached in any manner whatsoever. Any statements to the contrary are absolute lies and slander.”

The next to move was CKtalon, translator of ‘True Martial World’, ‘Absolute Choice’, and co-translator of ‘I Really Want to Be a Superstar’. CKtalon gave me permission to quote a statement he gave me in a private message, “I would like to iterate that WW did not invite/poach me to move to WW from GT. It was purely of my own choice.”

Now here’s my story: I reached out to Wuxiaworld first to inquire whether or not they were willing to take me. They said yes, and soon after, I found myself moving to WW. I would prefer not to mention the reasons for my move as they are of a personal nature, which is likewise for all of the former Gravitytales translators. And like the others, I was not coerced or forced; I decided to move purely of my own free will.

As for the other translators that also moved, I'm sure they also mentioned this in some of their other posts. I hope this completely dissolves the false claim that Wuxiaworld headhunted GravityTales translators out of bad business practices.

Is it true that QI is planning to buy GT?

I remembered seeing somewhere, someone said this was in the future planning of QI. I'm not sure whether this is a fact, or rumor....

Though by now, we know that Qidian "b*llsh*t* at least 90% of everything they said, even in their latest post about "recruiting" translators. They "b*llsh*t" so much now that even a child can't believe what they said.

 

You are comparing a novel site with one site all access for either gaming (Amazon Games), Reading books (Amazon Kindle), Buying stuff (Amazon Online), Amazon Prime ofc Amazon is bigger

It still shows that there might be people that take what Qidian say at face value since people are being forced to reiterate their stances.

In any case, Qidian saying they're the largest novel site in the world is just a big fat sham. I'd say even iTunes Bookstore is bigger than Qidian.

 

The legality shall be decided by court. We can only wait, no need to speculate or spreading rumors.

Is it irony or stupidity that qidian tried to use sophistry to deceive web novel readers? Every other novel has clowns like that and they all wind up dead as shit in the end
