I'm at chapter 1300 and I think this novel is better than Martial God Space on many levels. The only thing I don't like is that there too many tournaments.
Now the story has reached an interesting part, finding the rest of the legacies of the Void Shattering Finger spread out all over the world & the wealth alongside it is definitely profitable. Just one fragment has made him richer than his entire school.
This chapter release has one of the weirdest thing to it... Is he taking advantage of the Murong girl by telling her to hold him? I mean, he didn't tell the guy to hold onto him. Unless for some reason she is slower than the Qi guy, but that was never stated, was it?
Gender discrimination. He was carrying her in a bridal carry while the Qi guy was being lifted by the tornado. Telling her to hold him close was to free his right arm to launch attacks and pop pills from his ring.
I haven't read it for a long time but I think she expend a lot energy than the other guy. And carrying your future waifu nothing wrong with that.
well fuck you, he says he is disappointed that translator is doing only 3 chapters a week which is bullshit because the translator promised 5 chapters a week but did 6 chapters from 27th march to 2nd april and again 6 chapters from 3rd april to 9th april, and 3 already this week with 2 days still left
How is the novel in terms of enjoyment compared to MW,TMW,etc. I read till Ch100 or so and it wasn't interesting. But usually Chinese novels don't have good start.
World Building and cultivation system is pretty decent. The MC however......always sneers. Fortunately (from brain blasting on lnmtl), NPCs are not one off characters and remain relevant throughout the story plot wise. Overall the world, it's mysteries and people are interesting but the MC isn't.
Nah, multiple tournament arcs are the sign of an author padding his chapters. One is required, two is tolerated, three is a little too much, and anything over three is the equivalent to mental navel lint.
I can't say I "like" tourneys, but Idon't hate them either. The issue with Tourneys is that, it's clear that the author is out of ideas to do so without killing. I mean, what is another way to show off skills of the MC without just killing people left and right? Taking into account the mc's personality as well.
The reaction scenes are well done? When I first read they were disappointing. Even the fights weren't that good till Ch100. I think the reactions and tournaments are well done in TMW and ATG. So I'm resuming the series and hoping that the novel would rival ATG/TMW in those aspects.
Uh... you sure you quoted the right person? As for reactions... it's okay. I like them because it isn't as extreme as MW/TMW. Can't remember ATG as I've stopped and have not read that in ages.
Has any xianxia author done a deconstruction of such tournament arcs? In a compare and contrast of:- Scene 1 = Typical MC wins the tournament in an "overwhelming upset". Scene 2 = Flashback behind-the-scenes as bookies, gambling houses and tournament organizers conspire/drug/bribe competitors to throw matches and rig bets *cough...*FIFA* cough...*Olympics*...cough...
