If you guys like the 2nd Male Lead getting the girl, then you better read: Spoiler Ballad of the Desert The title 'Male Lead' is confusing, since it shifted from one person to the other. So, looking at it from another POV, it's the 2nd Male Lead who got the MC instead.
Oh so that's how it went. I watched the drama and didn't read the novel, is it different in the novel? The scenes and all? Might try it out after I catch up with cannon fodder.
Styles do differ from translator to translator! I am the master translator AKA fancy title for clean up duty. I standardize everything and check for consistency before passing it onto editor Deyna. I am greatly thankful for the team translating at such a high level though, because this can be a real pain (aka rewriting the entire chapter) if the initial translation is half assed.
I recently started reading this one, been on a binge for transmigrated female MCs, and this is easily one of the funniest I've ever read. Super shout out and kudos to the translator for such quick and through translations!
I wholeheartedly agree with the "it's funny" comments! I've often read Japanese LNs with transmigration to side characters but this is the first in Chinese setting! It's like the same dish with a really unique flavor~ yum~ :3 My heart is confused. I really want her to end up with the supporting male lead (coz he's nicer plus there's no possibility of getting beaten to death) BUT... seems like recent development is leaning toward main male lead OTL. I wonder how real the reverse harem tag is o_o.
Stick with the Male Lead! Spoiler Even though the Male Lead 'couldn't express himself properly' coz of his of his innate stoicness, you could tell that in later chapter (hell, even now), that he loves the MC. The 2nd Male Lead will love the MC too but he still visits his concubines, meaning have sex with them. He admitted to himself that the Male Lead is the one who loves the MC the most since the Male Lead doesn't have any other woman/concubine other than the MC. He especially likes to visit his concubine Yu throughout the novel. Here's the excerpt from the latter chapters where he said that: "... Song Jiao month to take their couples no way, always feel that the two white Xiangxiu is a more disadvantage that one. But compared to Long Heng and other men is the best, because he did not have any other concubine, that is, there is no connected room. The feelings between the two is real, and this is simply not comparable to his own. He has a few side of the room, and recently will go out with their own Yu-color to the concubine... " It's a machine translated version, but you can easily decipher it. Ultimately though, it depends on your tastes.
It's good. The title is actually quite funny when you read the novel, you could say it's part of the comedy. I read the entire novel. If you're worried about the title. Don't. It's a Spoiler Happy Ending
