I think the second princess becomes queen as well. I remember something about wanting to disband the dragoon force as revenge (?)
I'm curious as well only because the light novel was label as a harem...yet it doesn't feel like it would end up that way.

Spoiler Basically, the whole world was created due to Aleist being reincarnated, every person that unreasonably hated Rudel is due to the "setting" of the world that was created by Aleist, the reason this whole novel takes place is because Aleist wished to see a dragon a long time ago, and Rudel also saw it, resulting in this distortion of the world. As for the petting... It's kinda there for the humor? That's what I got out of trying to MTL stuff =X
You can forget bout harem, wives or stuff, the novel ended without him getting married, in the epilogue when they're bout 30yrs or so, aleist has a huge harem while Mc has none,, although the 2nd princess and her entourage are still chasing after him,,
All which seemingly built up to be the MC's harem members being redirected to Aleist magically on the few last chapter, so now she's within Aleist's more than 30 wifes harem. Mofumofu princess becomes a queen, she proposed to MC but he rejected her and her only option was to marry Aleist. Supporting female charas all forgotten in the ending, their fates are unknown but most likely they're on Aleist's harem. MC is only with Izumi until his death. More spoiler and a little bit rant lol: Spoiler Though personally for me Izumi (main heroine) is the worst girl in the series, she's there only as background noise (stopping any possible plot advancement with girls since she's basically chaining him) and one chapter explaining her past lol. There's no actual plot involving her as an important character in the story at all. Well the MC is also bad in that regard, he's not growing at all from the first chapter. It feels like this series was actually Aleist's story and we only seen the story from bugged NPC (MC) that remain one dimentional while Aleist growing as a person. MC only getting stronger physically but on the mentality he only has his mind on dragons, the plot never let him improve as a person, his storyline is only "how to be strongest dragoon" all the time. Aleist on the other hand has a lot of setback, contemplating on what he should do with his life, growing from insecure otaku into confident and caring guy and becoming a perfect man for a harem (though he himself burdened with that, he's basically a very kind guy that can't let girls feels hurt so he takes them all in). On the epilogue thousand years on the future, Sakuya (MC's dragon) meets the MC's reincarnation. Sakuya has a dragon kid with her, and apparently dragon has become humanity's enemy in the future. The dragons protected the forest where the kindom was once there. On the time skip it seems human relied on technology instead of magic since the MC rides a fighter plane.
