This is the story of Randalph Brigsiel a young demon after climbing the status as a Demon Earl challenged the 4 grand dukes of hell for the seat of becoming the one and only "Devil". Having failed and hunted down until the last of his breath he was given another 'chance' by the devil that calls himself Death Bringer ​

I stopped reading at chapter 3... I think. It was because the lack of definition and the pacing was just too fast for me.

 

the story has only 75-78 chapters

 

Seeing him power-up like crazy makes it pretty cool. Gotta love seeing numbers go up. I'm addicted already.

His interactions with the human world is too lackluster and basic. He just shows up, power lvls his choosen, and gtfo. Doesn't strengthen his bonds with them in order to manipulate them better or anything. His abuse of his knowledge and his show of guts is great tho.

 

The Best of 2nd chance theme is where mc took all the benefits to himself..like I am Monarch..

 

well he is a dungeon master.. at some point his team will be his enemy

 

I don't mind if he's not interacting much with humans. I'm more looking forward to how he will hunt the other dungeons.

This is an incredibly confusing novel. I'm only a couple chapters in but I can't figure out what his goal in this is. He's against the other dungeons but also against heroes, but the only way he can earn points is killing heroes, but he can also earn points by clearing the first floor of his dungeon? Ugh, and the dungeon came out of nowhere, his past life he grew up on a battlefield but where's the battlefield? How did he get a dungeon and how did he lose? I wish this story did a better job of explaining things, I'm already really confused. I'll keep with it because I like the premise but I hope these questions are answered sooner rather than later.

 

-he was a normal demon, then became a demon earl, challenge the demon dukes, lost. given a 2nd chance by the current devil, lost again, then sent back in time by the ancient gods(present).
-the battlefield is in the demon world.
-the dungeon battles is a game designed by the current devil to choose the next devil. (pro., ch 1 & 2)
-beating the free mob during the 3 months protection period will get you points.
-leveling the heroes will get him more points in the long run. the higher the level of the heroes the higher the points he will get when he kills them. "hero farm"
-acquiring titles will get you points. sometimes also stats.
-achievements will get you points. sometimes also stats.
-killing other dungeon masters will get you points, achievements, titles and stats.
-points are used in the auction.
-more points greater benefits.
-capturing the dungeons, killing the other dungeon masters, and being the last one left standing is the end goal.

he keeps on explaining everything as the story goes on and as things new to him pops up he immediately checks what it means.

if you still don't understand try reading it all again from the beginning, the story is pretty easy to understand. the only things hard to remember are the names.

 

Yeah, it was chapter 2 when I was having issues understanding things. The events prior to his resurrection were especially hard to understand. That said I'm all caught up now and pretty much understand everything. Basically took until he started gaining his achievements that things started to make sense. Loving he series, chapters have a refreshingly long length so you get a lot out of each installment.

That said, as of c21 I hope Yihi's bees don't die. She's far too simple and pure a character to be punished so harshly, even though she did make a huge mistake. It's like killing a puppy. Left me with a bad taste, hope the next chapter comes out soon so we can see what happens.

So far this is by far one of the, if not the, best "dungeon" series I've come across.
