Could you please fill in this form so that we could gather some data for the development of our app. https://goo.gl/forms/VvTuVSkUSgmv12A23 It would be much appreciated. For school, we have to create a service or product and based on that we need to create a financial plan and convince a "bank" to invest money into us so that we may develop the app. We thought it would be smart to collect information and input about our concept. It is supposed to be an app that makes your life a lot easier by combining a lot of little ease of life things such as swapping emails/ phone numbers by Bluetooth. Also people who put in their names/ usernames will be credited at the end of the presentation we will eventually be giving.
Why so edgy, it's like 8 questions and most of them are multiple choice. Would have taken less effort to fill in the form than getting all those gifs ready.
Wait for a school project you have to convince a god damn bank to invest into you? I assume you just have to convince the teacher hence why you put bank in quotation marks.
Spewing memes is fun. Filling in forms is not. Has nothing to do with how long it takes to do either thing.
Yes. That is why I put it in quotation marks but it should be on the level it could be presented to a bank.
Well i filled in the form with cold hard truth, because that app has no future. I basically answered the form as if it was actually real, guess i should've went a bit easy since it's just a school project.
There's practically no chance at all for this kind of thing to financially succeed as a separate app because the world is already going in the direction of ease of use and comfort so you would have no impact on the market and most of the stuff is already made to be simple enough so that I would feel that downloading that app would take more effort than doing things like they are currently done
No problem but it was more based on combining a lot of ease of use apps. And combining it into one to save on that "precious" home screen space. Especially for apps that you download and use them once and delete them and then you need them again a month later.
I read through the comments and I could pick out which ones were yours. I see your point in that old people would not use it and it would be to complicated for kids. But it is more just a convenient app, for example seeing what buses, trams or trains you need to take to reach your destination and, how much it would cost. Think about things like a QR reader or a compass app, both not used very often but very handy when you do actually use them.
It would be too much of a niche market. How could we ever convince a bank to fund us if we cater to such a small group?
So I dont know who posted the thing about the email exchange. But what you mentioned is basically the thought we had behind it and I think phone numbers are still used a lot especially if you think about whatsapp. Maybe add in that it immediately starts a conversation up.
But like i said why would people go out of their way to do simple things that arent hard in the first place? Not to mention it would be an app you open once a day at best, and nobody would bother spending money to get rid of ads. People are used to the way things are, they have a qr scanner if they need it. Have a compass if they need it. And professional apps or simply google for trains and buses, no matter how many things you add it wont make a difference as people already have ways to deal with these things, and as people only do them a few times per week or a busy travelerer a few times per day your app wouldnt have any appeal to anyone. Only ones to try it would be curious teenagers that wont even use its features anyway. While you might not have to compete with other apps that do a lot of things, you would have to compete with every app that has a feature you add to yours.
