The mission clearly said Beetles, plural, yet he got S rank completion for only killing one / C32 Why is he demanding the rifle from the MC when the hostage in his hands has it? You know, if he wasn't such a self-centered git, he could probably save civilization right this instant. All he'd need to do is go join the army and start mass producing magical weapons. Within a few months, humans would be able to start pushing the monsters back. Within a few years, they'd have reclaimed their spot at the top of the food chain. Actually, it probably wouldn't even take that long since the system likes to give him missions that fall inline with his own choices. So if he chose to support humanity and protect/restore civilization, he'd probably get tons of missions related to doing just that. Alternatively, if he was at all ambitious, he could use his power to form a faction and take over the city, then slowly expand until he ruled a small country and so on and so forth. It would be a lot riskier though since the government would definitely try to kill him, likely with sniper rifles and/or bombs. C34: She's fully capable of killing stuff. She's proven that numerous times already. Why is she in charge of cooking and not the kid who has no battle potential whatsoever and is just going to be leeching off of them if she isn't even doing tasks like that? If he needs more wood, why not chop up the furniture in the girl's apartment? Its not like her family needs it anymore. Honestly, I'm severely unimpressed by this MC and this series. I'll admit that its better than God and Devil World, but that's an extremely low bar to set. So I just have one question: Does it ever get better? Am I completely wasting my time with this series?
At this point at chap 143 I'm totally done with this series. Holy shit this was a huge disappoint. Really enjoyed the set up and while the MC was OP and being the only one with a "system" it was still tolerable. Now this shit throwing out any sort of decency has fully exposed the author of hardcore wish fulfillment fantasy and awful writing of female characters. MC is now a pumped up horn dog with huge cheat abilities and if that's what anybody actually likes then by all means stick with this novel. Any sort of consistent characterization has gone straight out the window and just isn't worth following the characters anymore.
the short answer: No. Not as of yet. The number of females clinging on to him rises instead. The other problem is, apart from being selfish, he isn't smart enough to empower users other than him with his own ability. His ability is pretty much a support ability (synthesis) whereas there are others with more offensive or defensive abilities. I'm thinking that the author is a masochist with chauvinistic tendencies, and the MC is an idiot of sorts. Or both altogether.

The sword being translated into knife is because the Chinese word for it is 'dao' which is commonly used for knives. Dao means a curved single-edged sword/knife/blade in Chinese and they are not differentiated by length. Jian on the other hand, refers to the blade being double-edged. The common knives we use at home for cooking are also called 'daos' in this case. An accurate and commonly used modern translation of Zhanmadao (an ancient weapon) is actually the Horse Chopping Saber. Here is a reference link to those who are interested. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhanmadao We found this proper name to be too wordy and sort of removes certain cultural context from its usage, and to be honest, we think it is less cool of a name too. Hence, we decided to leave the name in its pinyin form. However, what we failed to standardize (we keep a databank for translation of names etc) was the use of words that replace this proper noun. Since we are using Zhanmadao as a name instead of a general common noun term, we often have to replace its use with a more general term. In this case, the author often refers to it as 'dao' which we sometimes translate to knife and at other times translate to sword. We have since decided on the finalized term, saber, which would be the most accurate term for the Zhanmadao. However, what readers need to understand is that the chapters submitted are being posted as we speak and those have been translated long ago. We are essentially 2-3 weeks ahead of what is being posted on Qidian and thus it may take awhile before changes we have decided on today can be seen. For past chapters, it is not that we do not intend to fix them but rather that we are waiting for Qidian's back-end system to come online to edit them. This will make our work a lot simpler since all the translators/editors working on a project would have direct access to the chapters that have already been uploaded. As for the missing part, we have addressed it multiple times in multiple threads and I will clarify it here once again. The RAWs we used had the sex scenes removed. Our translators did not anticipate that there would be people who would edit RAWs to remove scenes and thus, translated whatever they had on hand as they were. Again, we are planning on adding the missing scene in C18 back when we have access to the back-end system. Can't handle this revolving doors of random characters coming and leaving Asking for a loner MC is too much in a novel like this atleast have a decent party and don't let people randomly in. It's not worth especially after literally everyone else will be nothing but a burden.

Ugh these last few chapters, the smarter the author try's to make the MC appear the more moronic he comes across.
This novel is slowly adding in mental powers and mind control if they start adding the meat mutates people enough they might be able to start reviving people the novel will offical become progressively worse. Mind control and coming back to life are two things I notice that always always kill a story whens added as powers. If they introduce some god complex people to the story its would be worse.
