... Wait, so the name of the class was blurred until he selected it, then it became clear? Is that it? Is it really that kind of shitty thing? That even the name would be blurred? If it's that, then I'm sorely disapointed in the way the author choose to give the class.

And why further restrict the use of mana wih that class? I don't see the point, except that maybe the author doesn't want him to learn to use mana at all. Except for mana crafting in the future.

 

No... That's NOT what happened. In Korean 'Blurred' and 'Blood' are written the same. So it wasn't censored in the raws at all. It was already written 'Blurred' but MC had misinterpreted it as 'Blood'.

As for mana, it is not activated yet as normal humans need 10 years to activate and use mana (hence they went to other worlds for 10 years to activate it) and as for MC, he needs 1 year with Erta as she can speed up the activation of mana by 10 times. So MC cannot use mana yet except mana crafting. It's not that he is 'restricted' in using mana, but he just cannot.

If you mean why he didn't acquire any active skills, it's because he cannot learn active skills as active skills require mana but he can't use it.

As for mana, I know that he needs to wait for a year. However, it was only after he got the class that he got the message that said he couldn't use mana. It feels like it's the class that doesn't allow him to use mana. Like in "Change: New World", his skill 'equip' doesn't allow him to use mana.

Now that you mention active skills, maybe the record said "since you can't use mana (yet), you can't learn active skill".
Then, everything makes sense!!

I'm glad the author realizes that what the MC did wasn't actually possible. Though honestly, not being able to read all those books isn't the only problem. There's no way you'd remember everything you'd read either. Information that isn't used is eventually discarded by the brain.

Its a sensible measure for the long run I suppose, but its not really enough to protect them in the short term. Unless everyone evacuates to the other worlds to train before coming back of course, but if they do that, then the difficulty of returning will only get higher with the passage of time. The whole planet would basically become a high level dungeon.

According to author, while they were transported forcibly for 10 years, they 'weren't allowed to die' However, now, they 'can' die in those other worlds. Advantage being that they can bring back what they've gained now.
