On the main novelupdates site, under TYPE how do you sort webnovels by origin?

Many novels are just listed as "Webnovel" under "Type" and the origin then lists KR, JP, or CN in parenthesis next to them. If I want to sort through releases I have to select "type" then "webnovel" and go through 65 pages of mixed korean, chinese, and japanese webnovels till I am able to find the origin I am looking for.

Also I'd like to know if there is a way to exclude novels by type. I'd like to exclude all chinese releases from my release list.

Type is the format: Web Novel, Light Novel (Japanese), or XX Novel for novels published in whatever language. While there are options for each language in terms of published novels, 'Web Novel' is used for all languages. If it's a published novel in china, it's a Chinese Novel. If it's a published novel in Japan, it's a Light Novel. If it's a Web Novel in China, it's a Web Novel. if it's a Web Novel in Japan, it's a Web Novel. A bit contradictory, I know, but blame @Tony for that.

What you're looking for is 'Language.' If you specify the 'Type' as 'Web Novel' and the 'Language' as 'Chinese,' you'll get CN webnovels.

And there is no way to mass exclude novels of a particular type or language from the front page.

IIRC there was a feature that link the novel page at NU just by type the novel's name...
    how do you do that?
I only can link the novel page by copying the name from reading list or main page...

i'm sorry for forgetting to mention this. there are pre-requisites for novels to appear auto-linked. There is a table that the novel(s) need to be added to beforehand (manually by mods). only then will the auto-link works (for that novel). and it seems like those two novel might not be in the list yet.
you can however, report your own post for such reason. tell them the novel you posted didn't auto-link and they will add it for you. next time you or someone elso type the name, it will then works properly.

    hoo...
may I know the pre-requisites and which novels already listed?
because I already tried typing some well-known novel but it still didn't work...
(like Stellar Transformation, Death March, Dungeon Defense and many other popular novels)...

and IIRC there was some discussion about the standardized acronym format that will used for this feature right?

while i'm not sure about acronym, initials does work. i know issth does (i just tested it)

as for the list, i dont think normal users are privy to it, nor will it be made available. you can ask tony on it tho (but dont count on it too much). >.>

    Firstly,
If that's fine, go to the section of the forum that you would like to put your thread in, then hit the 'Post New Thread' button near the top right corner of the page.
