Civil War Generals 2 Mission Force Cyberstorm Command and Conquer: Red Alert Heroes of Might And Magic IV Final Fantasy 7 and 8 Final Fantasy 4 Global Domination (the 1998 game where you launch missiles at other countries) Uplink: Hackers Elite Simcity 2000 Corpse Party (1996, but Corpse Party: Blood Covered is probably more accessible now) Diablo and Diablo 2 Warcraft 2 (never been a fan of the original Warcraft) Starcraft Reach for the Stars Space Empires (IV was the last one I played and the screen flicker issue was never resolved) Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri (the best Civ-game ever, it was a great social experiment game. Civilization: Beyond Earth was supposed to be the spiritual successor, but never really match up to Alpha Centauri)
ah, the NES... i remember when i got together with my brother awhile back and set it up. played Legendary Wings. didn't go so well. he wiped in first level. i told him "don't worry, i'm usually pretty bad at this. i'll probably die by world 3." beat the entire game and just shut it off once it looped back to start. also tried contra and put in the konami code. he tore through all his lives and all of mine. first time i died was on last level, i think by the time we were halfway through snowfield he had already used up all of his lives and mine. needless to say, i was rather disappointed in him. i think the only NES game i still go back to would be Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar. i don't count the dragon warrior/quest and final fantasy games as they've received updates on newer consoles that i tend to prefer playing instead. SNES would have to be Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. really a shame that they never made a sequel. considering the handhelds are getting square enix games, you'd think it might be possible for them to do another collab and do a part 2, but nintendo gets really uppity about the strangest of things these days. (especially when it comes to sharing...) as for PC, i think the only games i go back to would be Planescape Torment (was nice to see some sort of continuation to it in Tides of Numenera) and the Knights of the Old Republic series. picked up a star wars bundle on steam back in may. aside from KotOR 1 and 2, the other games were a horrible waste of money. the old engine that jedi knight/dark forces ran on was so horrible it made me nauseous. brought back memories of why i only played such games for maybe 2 hours tops so i didn't make myself sick. well, i planned on limiting myself. usually didn't work. i've tried reinstalling the old twinsen's Odyssey/little big adventure games, but between it being DOS and computers these days having horrible compatibility issues with its splash installer, that just never happened. even trying "alternative" measures just never worked.
-Final Fantasy 6, 7, & Tactics -The Legend of Dragoon -Suikoden 2 -Star Ocean: The Second Story -Legend of Mana
Ahh, that'd be a toss up between Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI. I remember the original Lunar fondly, too. Working Design's translation is the best thing about it haha.
