Does anyone of you guys work in a gaming company or has a relative who works in one. I am just wondering when full dive VR is gonna happen. Or maybe there is one already. Can someone make a reasonable estimate when it will happen?
Those are restrictive options. I'd say maybe within a century from now we'll have it, and that's if we have major technological leaps and advances. Btw, "Soon..." would generally constitute in the next several years from a standpoint of technological advancement, so the first 2 options are kind of.. unnecessary to many people. So it's either, soon or never gonna happen. Add a couple more options. It's not hard to.
full dive vr wont release any time soon, all we currently have is goggle bs, wait till the government develop a technology that can connect to people mind, then VR will develop
I dont see it happening in at least 40 years, mainly due to the head set having to interrupt brain waves and people wont trust that, slowing the dev process.
So sad. But i think a century more is underestimating humans. That is why i did not have over 2025 first but oh well.
Full dive meaning you essential are in that world. You can touch, feel, smell, hurt etc... Right? Because if so... Not for a long damn time. I see the biggest hurdle being the understanding of how the brain works. With our meteoric rise in technology it won't take too too long for us to be able to have equipment that can create those realistic worlds. The biggest problem is safely connecting our brains into that system. So anywhere from 50-200 years I'd say. And I think 50 is pretty generous. There is no doubt that it will happen someday. Scientists have already theorized how intelligent species will live out the final years of the universe before it's cold death. Virtual Reality (Cranked up to a million) is a very real option. So to anyone who says it will never happen... I just don't think that's realistic. Perhaps there will be a ton more hurdles to understanding how our brain works enough to make this a reality. But assuming we don't go extinct... It will happen.
underestimate innovation will comes with a possibility of surprises for us, but overestimate will have a possibility of life time of disappointment, i rather take the former
holographic projections coupled with a feedback suit is easier than that full dive concept... but that forces you to exercise.
Then we have no choice but to travel the path to immortality by cultivating so we can play in full dive technology after.
Sadly we would be dead before and would have to life the whole life playing this r/outside bad game..
The good news is we could probably upload our consciousness before we die, so even if it is invented in 75 years we could all play nyaa!
