    FOREWORDS
    This is the 17th round of Kingdom Royale. It has been a long time indeed.
    Anyway, I'm your local goddess, Pyoo.

    And this is a template.

    RULES

    1. Sign up at http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/kingdom-royale-interest-thread.12055/ . Each game will be hosted on a different game thread.
    2. No private messages between participants about the game (meta-gaming). Private messages for other purposes are allowed.
    3. You are forbidden from giving any form of clues / hints / or [Kingdom Royale] related remarks outside from this thread and each secret conversation chat rooms.
    4. While I appreciate that RL takes precedence, please inform me if you're going to disappear for a while. I can always shoehorn someone else in there.
    5. Observers are forbidden from giving any form of clues / hints / or [Kingdom Royale] related remarks to the players.
      While you are not forbidden from chatting casually or joke around (in moderation) in the game thread and each secret conversation chat rooms, it is highly probable that you might accidentally slipped some clues. So unless you are 100% sure that your post does not contain any of the mentioned above, please refrain from posting. I highly recommend you to ask anything you do not understand privately to the moderator of the game instead of in either thread and chat rooms.
      This also apply to ghosts.
    6. Global forum rules apply. I am about 95.7% certain you have yet to read them though... (I got this from @DCLXVI who got it from @Aca1814ina )

    GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

    1. Day and night cycle take forty-eight (48) hours each, counting from the start of the phase, unless it is unanimously voted to be ended early. Both day and night can be voted to end early. <This rule is only enacted cause the player called Tonton is not so active, otherwise it's 24 hours>
    2. Before the [Day Phase] end, each player may select another player to form a private chatroom for the night. Both players will then be transported into the private room, where they can talk, deal, scheme, or attempt to murder each other without anyone knowing. If a player fail to specify a person, it will default to "no chat" option.
    3. Each role has a different victory conditions. The game ends when all surviving players have met their victory condition.
    4. All players start with 8 HP.
    5. All players will recover 1 HP at the beginning of [Day Phase].
    6. All players are given a knife, which can be used to [Stab] the other players regardless of roles. [Stab] may be done once per cycle, either day or night.
      The knife will disappear once it has been used it to stab someone. A new knife will be given to each player who has lost it on the next day.
    7. Each [Stab] will reduce the remaining HP of the target by 4.
    8. Attacking with the [Stab] action during daytime will be announced to everyone, whereas attacking at night will only be announced to the target (in the night chatrooms). However it can only be done to the attacker's conversation partner.
    9. Defend mechanic :
      1. If you still hold a knife (refer to point 6) and you're stabbed at day time, you can 'defend' against stabs, and the damage received will be halved to 2 HP.
      2. At night time, defend mechanic does not apply.
    10. You can schedule your [Stab] actions with conditional order.
    11. Roles will NOT be announced upon death. Nor will players be informed of their remaining HP.
    12. If four cycles (day and night) have passed OR three players have been eliminated, sudden death will occur. During the sudden death, no HP will be regenerated.
    13. If four cycles (day and night) have passed AND three players have been eliminated, double death will occur. During the double death, the [defend mechanic] is nullified, i.e. just hurry and die.
    14. If amazingly the game goes on for 8 cycles (day and night), the Mummy end is triggered.

    Possible Conditions for [Stab] Schedule
    You may only schedule [stab] action with the following condition:
    • [Stab] @ by the end of the [{day/night} Phase]
    • [Stab] @ at the beginning of the [{day/night} Phase]
    • [Stab] @ if @ using [Stab] on {@/anyone}
    • [Stab] @ after I receive {x} amount of stabs
    • [Stab] the {1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th} person who stabbed me during this phase
    • [Stab] the {1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th} person who used their [Stab]

    ROLES
    There are six roles in the game, with different ability and victory conditions.

    [King]
    He is the king who has ascended to the throne by assassinating the previous ruler and has carried out many invasions. Having a distrustful personality, he's scheming murder of the ones that threaten his throne. He does not notice that his distrust makes others lose their loyalty for him.
    He can request his subordinates to commit [murder], but he cannot force them because he fears their animosity could become directed at him.
    A land ruled by a man that cannot trust others is unlikely to have a bright future.
    Skills of the [King]
    • [Murder]
      He can select a player he wants to kill and request the [Sorcerer] or the [Knight] to execute this action. He does not need to select. [Murder] may only be activated once during the [Night Phase]. The target of [Murder] is annulled by the end of the [Night Phase].
    • [Substitution]
      He can once avoid being the target of [Assassination] by changing roles with [The Double] for a single day. If he was selected as the target on this day, [The Double] will die instead of the [King]. [Substitution] may only be activated during the [Day Phase].
    Victory conditions for the [King] To protect his throne. (Elimination of the ones that threaten the king's throne [Prince] [Revolutionary] [Knight])


    [Prince]
    An ambitious person. He was originally only at the third place in the inheritance order of the king's rank. But taking advantage of the king's mistrust, he made him murder the other princes and moved up to the first place. He acquired anti-magic to guard himself against this mistrust.
    If he comes to the throne, this land is likely to turn into a worse dictatorship than it was before.
    Skills of the [Prince]
    • [Throne Succession]
      He becomes able to use [Murder] once the [King] and [The Double] die.
    • [Anti-magic]
      He cannot be killed by [Sorcery]. In addition, he will be informed by the identity of the [Sorcerer] once [Sorcery] is used on him.
    Victory conditions for the [Prince] To become the king. (Elimination of [King] [The Double] [Revolutionary] [Knight])


    [The Double]
    An ex-farmer who is loyal to the [King] and looks exactly the same as him. He is not really ambitious, but he can absolutely not allow the [Prince] to become the king since he was always made a fool by him.
    If he, with no ideals, becomes the king, this land is likely to fall into ruin in no time.
    Skills of [The Double]
    • [Inheritance]
      If the [King] dies or [Substitution] was executed, he becomes able to use [Murder].
    Victory conditions for [The Double] Death of the ones that try to kill him. (Death of [Prince] [Revolutionary])


    [Sorcerer]
    A subordinate of the [King]. He is the teacher of the [Prince] in magic and also gets on well with the [Prince]. He is satisfied as long he can pursue his studies in magic and has no interest in the king's throne whatsoever.
    No matter how much he can raise his magic skills, nobody will value a person that secludes himself in his shell.
    Skills of the [Sorcerer]
    • [Sorcery]
      He can choose whether to effectively kill the character that was selected by [Murder]. [Sorcery] may only be activated during the [Night Phase]. The targeted character will become a burnt corpse by the end of the [Night Phase].
    Victory conditions for the [Sorcerer] To survive.


    [Knight]
    A subordinate of the [King]. While being a subordinate, he is plotting revenge on the royal family for they have ruined his homeland. He believes firmly that he can only attain happiness by exterminating the royal family.
    As a matter of course, a man that has drowned in his own feelings of loss will only fall into the darkness of misfortune.
    Skills of the [Knight]
    • [Deathblow]
      He can choose whether to effectively kill the character that was selected by [Murder]. Only executable when the [Sorcerer] is dead. [Deathblow] may only be activated during the [Night Phase]. The targeted character will die due to beheading by the end of the [Night Phase].
    • [Fitness]
      Intense physical training is the requirement of being a knight. Gain 2 extra HP.
    Victory conditions for the [Knight] To take revenge. (Death of [King] [Prince])


    [Revolutionary]
    He is the right arm of the [King]. Because of his competence, he realized that this land is going to fall into ruin if it goes on like this. Hence, he prepared himself to take over the land.
    A ruler that has accumulated feelings of bitterness due to assassinations is incapable of leading a kingdom. At most he will be assassinated himself.
    Skills of the [Revolutionary]
    • [Assassination]
      He can assassinate the selected character. He does not need to select one. [Assassination] may only be activated during the [Night Phase]. The targeted character will become a strangulated corpse at the beginning of the [Day Phase].
    Win conditions of the [Revolutionary] To become the king. (Murder of [King] [Prince] [The Double])


    EXECUTION ORDER

    1. Scheduled [stab] by the end of [night phase].
    2. The target of [Murder] become a burnt or beheaded corpse by the end of [Night Phase] if applicable.
    3. The target of [Assassination] become a strangulated corpse at the beginning of the [Day Phase] if applicable.
    4. All players recover 1 HP if applicable
    5. Scheduled [Stab] at the start of [day phase].

    Oh, mod specials:

    EDIT: ADDED STUFF FOR GAMEPLAY
    • A warm embrace: If two (or more) people set up stabs at the same time, I shall deem defend to not happen. All attacks are received in full. (EDIT: I meant stab each other or something like that, but that should be obvious, yeah?)
    • Subtitution: the King's skill to subtitute with Double, to protect themselves against Revolutionary (which also lets the Double to use Murder). If the king choose to execute skill one day, it will be active at the next day phase (which is when Revo attacks are executed).

    Summary
    There are only 3 rules for players
    1. One stab per cycle
    2. No comment in thread during night phase
    3. Dont piss off the GM​

    There are only 2 rules for ghosts and observers
    1. STFU if you dont know whats not allowed to be said. I've had 2 people leak stupid things on my previous games
    2. Read the first rule. Don't fuck with me.​

    @Pyoo, I do not think #0000ff, #000000, and rgb(179, 0, 0) as a good choice of colors in this forum

    but the themes comes with the package

    so we cannot blame tony for it

    I tried to use soft colors that would be presentable in both themes

    but I am not going as far as changing the default hyperlink colors

    I thought everyone who used the dark theme should have gotten used to it
