The cave guy is the male MC right? This story reminds me of this novel that the female MC also reincarnated and was a top notch assassin last time that was killed by her partner who was her lover, dun rmb the name.

Anyways; new chapters are out. I wonder if she should've been honest and tell him the wine was for her cultivation not personal consumption ? Seems like he's an OP character that could easily obtain the heavenly water she needs for the other method.

 

I think I missed a chapter because of it refusing to load :/

They really need to stop torturing her lotus. She of all people should know how it feels to be treated like that by the person who's supposed to cherish you the most.

Why didn't she go to Ghost City to get the special water she needed?

Why didn't she just ask for the recipe for Jade Nectar? There's no need to take the wine his mother brewed.

 

Don't have an excuse for the torture...

She doesn't like the smell at ghost city and the water probably isn't there.

There is probably a reason there are only so many barrels of Jade Nectar left... also she didn't have the ingredients to make it anyways.

 

Well I do think she was little harsh, but she was not mean to torture her lotus.. it was more like because of her character? In latest chapter she got angry cause the main lead knock down her lotus right? So she.... like those tsundere character? Cold outside but warm inside?

 

We don't know what the ingredients are though? All we know is that the brewing process is difficult, but that shouldn't be a problem for her.

Just because you won't stand for someone else beating your kid, doesn't mean that its okay for you to beat them instead. I'm not saying she should treat it as her child, but she should at least not make their only real interactions negative ones where she mentally and physically abuses it while stealing everything that it has without giving anything in return. Its old life must have been an absolute hell for this to actually seem like an improvement.

 

I think that maybe I should let chapters stack up before reading. Each one is so short.

It also doesn't help that so little happens. With two chapters released, the first was mostly a recap of the previous one and the second was a recap of things that had been covered multiple times already. Total story progress was roughly 2-3 paragraphs total. It hardly feels like you've read anything when its like that.

 

I wonder if there's a third slap

I could be wrong, but I heard once that the audience of these kinds of c-novels are primarily women who casually read them on mobile devices during commutes/work breaks/etc...
So the authors intentionally write short, time-convenient chapters.
