Haah, tired of excessive wish fulfillment (rant)

    To be fair, just about any book about people with special powers is going to be a wish fulfillment story in some level. Ditto for most romance and adventure novels; this just goes with the main draw of these genres.

    Well, it seems like you're reading badly written novels... Badly written stuff is bad.

    Just start reading good stuff, and you'll stop feeling like that.

    It is annoying if a story starts out good but turns bad tens or hundreds chapters in and countless of times I felt like saying "why can't you be bad from ch 1 so I can quit right there and save time", but then again I had too much time and a small amount of good earlier chapters is better than nothing so... let it go~ let it go~ we're free readers that are free to stop reading anytime we want, we can always move on and hope the next story is better than the last

    when there is too many books/stories/novels in the same category/genre, people will just copy what got famous [even if the copied book itself is like 10+ years old] and change just a bit to make it 'creative'.
