I saw this just a few hours ago. It's on Reddit and was released by the lead writer of HL1-2 or something, he left Valve in 2016. I've never played any Half life games but I had always been interested in the Half life 3 meme and was looking forward to it. Anyway if you are interested, here's the link for Hl2ep3's story. Edit: maybe it's the story for HL3 instead. Apparently hl2ep3 and hl3 are different things :v https://github.com/Jackathan/MarcLaidlaw-Epistle3/blob/master/Epistle3_Corrected.md
Apparently the story was written by the writer (or one of the writers), that worked on the HL games at Valve. He does not work there anymore, it is what WAS supposed to happen on episode 3. Does not mean there will be an episode 3. I'd like another Portal though.
How is this clickbait when the person who was in charge of writing HL1 and HL2 released the story for hL3 that was supposedly what would have happened, but no one at Valve wanted to work on?
Because it's not about half life 3. It's about half life 2: episode 3. It's also a self-described fanfiction by the author.
the "Half Life 3 confirmed" meme is one of the thing that always makes me laugh, especially if it's used as reference in novel, movie or anime
