What he said except way more focused on daos than just absorbing energy to progress.

It's pretty good, my only complaint is the MC has a never ending stream of grandpa Doehring like figures throughout his journey

Aethernea is better in my opinion. Blue Phoenix was hard for me to get into

    Its good for an original.
But it lacks a little of that spice that keeps you awake and binging.
So think about reading it in arcs, and you'll enjoy the read.

I never really got into it and plan on picking it back up at some point, but there are a bunch of better novels out there imo. It's still decent, but not great.

It is good till first 200 chapter but get boring as it goes on.There is lack of exciting fights as fighting scenes seem blands.
Plus poin is consistency of author in posting chapters and its lengthy so story explores in world.

Thanks for the replies! I'll try it. It already has a lot of chapters to sink my teeth into and a pretty fast chapter rate. Are there any other western web novels that you would recommend?

Blue Phoenix is my very first attempt at writing a novel. It is something which can be felt, especially at the start of the novel.
Although I cannot deny that some parts might seem a little bland, I feel that the novel has gotten much more interesting as time goes on and that my ability to express the story has gotten better. The grammar, which at the start is rather bad is also improving rapidly later on.

If you are looking for something new to read and would like to binge read a lot of chapters, then I would definitely suggest you try Blue Phoenix. My release schedule is seven chapters a week, and I will do all in my power to stick to this release schedule.

I also write Overthrowing Fate. Although it is much shorter, it is not a bad novel either, so if you like Blue Phoenix, do give Overthrowing Fate a try too :)

It's my favorite original novel that isn't mainly on RoyalRoad, due to it's daily updates and consistent quality. Storywise there could be some slight improvements but those were mainly in the earlier arcs, I prefer Blue Phoenix over other popular original novels such as Aethernea and Divine Element since they lack momentum in the story due to infrequent updates, the characters and the story are almost competely forgotten when they do eventually update. That doesn't happen to me with Blue Phoenix.

The Wandering Inn by pirateaba is far and way the best webnovel out right now imo. A Practical Guide to Evil is quite excellent as well. And I would be remiss is I didn't recommend @ClearMadness 's The Iron Teeth (though it is currently going through a bit of a slow spot currently).
